02/01/2026: If I could, I'd give it 10 stars!! This little restaurant is a real gem! Beautiful, cozy, and with the best service I found in Italy. Plus, the food was spectacular. We had the steak with porcini mushrooms and potatoes, orecchiette, and a baba for dessert. The rosé wine from the region was also spectacular. Simply perfect!! Congratulations to the team!!!

05/01/2026: There are restaurants where you eat well. And then there are places like Quarto Storto, where you eat and feel. We arrived there helpless, defenseless, and we left enriched. Rich in authentic flavors, sincere gestures, the kind of cuisine that doesn't need to amaze because it tastes like home. The signature dish is spaghetti all'assassina. Crispy, intense, direct. But it would be unfair to stop there, because every dish tells the same story: that of a family-run trattoria where time slows down and the heart accelerates. We were there with Elena and Pietro, sitting at an ordinary table that, for one evening, became the center of the world. Pietro tasting, Elena smiling, me believing that certain moments shouldn't be explained... they should be treasured. And then there's a detail that makes the difference, the one you don't find on the menus: it was their closing day, and yet they opened especially for us. Not out of duty. Out of kindness. For that rare form of hospitality that makes you feel awaited, not just served. From Quarto Storto, you don't just leave feeling full. You leave feeling moved. 07/01/2026: A unique place that reeks of history and serves delicious food even during siesta, when all other restaurants are closed. A big plus for that! You can sit across from it, in the stone gateway, and still soak up the history while savoring a delicious pizza crust by the pound.

07/01/2026: On the first day, access was literally blocked by a dense, cheerful Italian crowd, patiently waiting or enjoying their focaccia in a wonderful atmosphere… despite the icy wind. We gave up. The second day, exactly the same scenario. Another attempt, another failure. What's the mystery? On the third day, finally, we understood the reason for the crowds. The focaccia and the bread were simply exceptional. Of remarkable quality, they fully justified the wait: here, patience is richly rewarded.

05/01/2026: First time at Gioré, excellent experience. Very pretty and charming location, converted from a 17th-century oil mill, expertly renovated. Impeccable welcome and very friendly, polite, and precise service. We tried the tagliolini with wild boar ragù, very good and a generous portion. The potato gnocchi with saffron and monkfish were truly delicious 😋, very fresh and delicate but rich in flavor. The duck CBT was very good, especially the combination with the pumpkin sauce. The desserts are also well-crafted: the dark chocolate cake was delicious, and the tiramisu was a surprise, especially for its unusual, evocative, and innovative plating 😄🤩. Absolutely not to be overlooked is the selection of homemade breads, three different types (whole wheat, white, and pumpkin), delicious and ideal for enjoying a glass of good Salento olive oil 👍👍. The quality/price ratio is medium-high, but the ingredients are expensive and the dishes are worth it... Well done everyone, congratulations guys 🍷👏👏, a great evening with great background music 🎶, a relaxing atmosphere. We'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.

08/03/2026: Drawn by the reviews, we decided to try it. The menu was disappointing, with appetizers of cured meats and thinly sliced ​​cheeses. The pumpkin parmigiana was good, but the rest didn't satisfy me. The first course was a canteen-style one, with industrially-made filled pasta. The second courses were poor, with overcooked meat. Finally, the fruit was sliced ​​into thin slices, and the desserts were disappointing, seemingly recycled and thrown on the plate. At €45 per person, I expected more. I didn't experience the flavors you'd expect from a farmhouse restaurant. Furthermore, it was difficult to converse in the restaurant because of the large group (since I'm in the business, I recommend separating the groups). A disappointing experience. The only positive note was the young woman who served us. Too expensive for what we were served.

The cuisine is home-cooked, featuring local specialties. A warm welcome awaits, with fresh mozzarella made by the cheesemaker. Prices are average, and products are available at the shop.

02/03/2026: Open kitchen, food served in front of the guest, there is no à la carte menu, not because the host is not able to do it but because everything comes from the best that can be given by Valle San Lorenzo, Macelleria Rocco, Forno di Pasquale, strictly land, territory, tradition. If you have an open mind and heart, a happy conviviality will take place.

We had the first course of the day with scampi, mussels, clams, and yellow date tomatoes and were pleasantly surprised. It's not the first time we've been here and we'll definitely be back.
