02/01/2026: A wonderful experience with fantastic products paired with excellent wine. The owner was incredibly kind, and the woman who brought us everything absolutely deserves five stars because she was kind, polite, and always smiling. Definitely worth repeating.

23/01/2026: I came in intending to have breakfast, but upon my arrival, no one responded to my greeting, despite repeating it twice.
For this reason, I decided to just have a coffee and a juice.
The review is solely for the service, which I found rude and inattentive to the customer. A shame, because a simple greeting makes all the difference.
06/09/2025: I've stopped a few times for a coffee and to soak up the sun on the outdoor terrace, which enjoys a fantastic exposure in the morning. A few more tables would have been appreciated. The staff were very friendly, especially the owner, who gave me helpful information on where to dine. I'll be back.

17/11/2025: We stayed one night, three of us with two dogs. The rooms were available earlier than expected, clean, and nice and warm (it was cold outside, so entering the room was very pleasant).
The area is quiet, and we slept well.
The morning breakfast was excellent; the very friendly owner served tarts, as well as traditional cured meats and cheeses.
We will definitely be back.

28/02/2026: Unexpected discovery! Very very worthy food, I liked ravioli and piglet. Also we had a fantastic artichoke, pasta al ragu and fillet. Wine list is huge like 54 pages with nice prices. Worth returning

We've been back several times since the first one, and even for me, a celiac, there are plenty of choices (the crepes are superb!).
It's a real shame it's about to close. The owner can no longer manage the business due to her advanced age, and she couldn't find anyone willing to take over the management.

13/01/2026: A small, quiet place, fortunately more locals than tourists. The panini are decent, the beer is decent, and the grappa is excellent. Plus, the service is great and the atmosphere is definitely the best in Pre Saint Didier.

24/02/2026: A typical Aosta Valley hotel where the hospitality and kindness of the owners make you feel at home. The second highlight is the much-appreciated traditional cuisine, with a varied appetizer and dessert buffet. The quality-price ratio is truly excellent. A place to definitely return.
09/02/2026: A family-run hotel with all the comforts. It's located 15 minutes from the ski lifts and 5 minutes from the Pila cable car. They also offer a shuttle service to the slopes. The staff are very friendly and helpful, including Mrs. Agnese, who is wonderful, and the food is excellent.

07/03/2026: We recently ate at L’essentiel and the food was delicious including the trout starte, onion soup etc. all exceptional. But more importantly, the management and personnel are accommodating and so thoughtful. They had steak off the menu and it had finished so they promised to order some for us on our next visit. Truly caring. We highly recommend
06/03/2026: Whatever you do don’t eat at this restaurant. They serve uncooked pork. We sent it out twice showing them that the meat was cold and uncooked without any improvement. Then we finally gave up and asked for the bill and they charged us full price…..

29/11/2025: Business lunch for €12, Monday to Saturday inclusive. Choice of two first courses, two second courses, dessert, water, 1/4 cup wine, and coffee. In my opinion, the quality and quantity are decent. At this price, I don't think you can ask for more.
