28/08/2025: A lovely place in the center of Assisi. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, no complaints! We sat outside at a slightly sloping table, which made it a bit difficult to arrange our dinner dishes. Furthermore, the limited space outside meant we had to sit very close to other people, as we did. The dishes we ordered were excellent, especially the wild boar, tender and flavorful. Kudos to the kitchen!

15/08/2025: Two crepes served with industrial whipped cream, which you didn't even ask for, cost 14 euros... and a small bottle of water, because they don't even offer you a glass, costs 2 euros. Not to mention the sticky floor because a slush had fallen and hadn't been cleaned properly and promptly. Terrible.

29/07/2025: Everything was delicious and excellent value for money. The macchiato was a normal coffee with a bowl of foam and milk, the crepes were served on a tray with a cream flower that looked like a Margherita because it had a hint of syrup in the middle.

12/07/2025: Sono andato con un gruppo di amici che aveva scelto questo posto basandosi sui commenti letti online, e in effetti ci siamo trovati benissimo. Lo staff è molto gentile e propone una degustazione di prodotti tipici, accompagnata da un assaggio di vino. Dopo, si può scegliere tra panini e taglieri, tutti preparati con ingredienti di ottima qualità.

24/08/2025: I should start by saying that the weather wasn't great when I stayed, so the rain prevented me from using the pool or fully appreciating the beauty of the place. Despite this, being immersed in the woods was very relaxing and rejuvenating. We were even lucky enough to encounter a deer while driving to the property. At the same time, precisely because it's immersed in nature, the route to the residence isn't the most convenient: about a 20-minute drive from Assisi, with steep, narrow roads where there's no signal. I booked a Deluxe double room, located in the terraced houses next to the property. I encountered two downsides: - Little privacy: the walls were poorly insulated, and with the window open, the conversations of guests lounging under the pergola (in front of our room) could be heard very clearly. - No signal: no mobile network or WiFi available in those houses. Breakfast, however, was good: plentiful, with both sweet and savory options. Negative note: lack of vegan options. The service was excellent, and the staff was generally always very helpful. Adding to the pleasant atmosphere were the residence's sweet and very sociable dogs. In short: a recommended experience if you're looking for a relaxing break surrounded by nature, want to eat well, unplug from social media, and don't care much about privacy.

24/08/2025: Excellent agriturismo surrounded by nature, a pleasant and relaxing stay, a lovely pool with bar service, good food, excellent wines and craft beers produced on site, a generous breakfast, very friendly staff, and a clean and well-kept room. Highly recommended!

04/04/2025: Chosen without any prior information, by intuition, this beautiful osteria a few steps from the church of San Pietro in Assisi turned out to be a very positive gastronomic surprise. Strangozzi with truffles followed by seared lamb, are dishes of a certain importance and although demanding, they were easily assimilated without any hesitation, with a white half grechetto added to the table as an aid, which I know is allowed to be drunk without a hit. Friendly, polite and efficient service. Fair account, what else can I say, we'll be back.

09/02/2025: The place is a bit old-fashioned but has its charm, the waitress is very kind and friendly and the aubergines, baked potatoes, strangozzi with truffle and maltagliati with leek and white ragù were simply superb!

12/08/2025: The food was really excellent; I tried the chicken gyoza with soy sauce. The place was very cute and the service was friendly, perfect for a family dinner. The price was very fair. In short, this restaurant is truly beautiful.

12/07/2025: Food was really nice. A lovely pizza, lasagne and panacotta. It was the service that let the place down. Waitress and another one who was indifferent to my compliment of the food. Overheard a customer who had to insist on sitting elsewhere as waitress wanted to sit where they didn’t like. Wife owner was really nice.

30/07/2025: I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Minerva in Assisi. The hotel is charming, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel truly cared for. Its location is ideal—just steps away from the cathedral and within walking distance of most of Assisi’s historical sites. While the hilly terrain can be a bit challenging, the stunning views and timeless beauty of the city more than make up for it. A memorable experience in a magical place.

22/06/2025: Stayed last week on a 2 day trip to Assisi. While the location is prime, and the room was very comfortable- there was a woman at the front desk who was just beyond rude. We had an experience with her in the restaurant where she was also our waitress. She brought us out extremely dry and hard bread. We politely asked her if perhaps we could have a little bit of olive oil (or perhaps even our drinks brought out so we didn’t choke.) and her response was “no. Olive oil is for salad only.” Meanwhile, the table behind us with a local family of clearly Italian folks, had oil for their bread (that’s how we had the idea to ask!!) The next day, we went to a restaurant in Gubbio, and our waiter brought oil to the table without us asking, we asked him and our guide for the day if that was just for the salad. They both looked at us very confused. When we told them that this woman from the hotel and hotel restaurant denied us such a silly request- they had the same response “so sorry. That’s not true and we’ve never heard of that. She probably didn’t want to serve you.” Perhaps this seems ridiculous to some to complain about this, but the fact is that no one else wants to feel as though someone is being discriminatory and not fulfilling a request because of that kind of attitude. Not only this, she was at the front desk (glasses, brown hair, late 40s maybe 50s) and just couldn’t be bothered. God forbid we had a question. Like I said, great location, comfortable room but we won’t be back. Every hotel in Assisi is technically a great location and all very competitive for pricing.

07/09/2025: Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was courteous and efficient.

03/09/2025: Today, as soon as we arrived in Assisi, the two of us went for lunch. Despite the time, it was almost 3:00 PM and therefore closing time...the waitress Emma served us with great kindness and courtesy. Not only that, but she also advised us, at our request, how we could organize our sightseeing tour. Truly welcoming! We had a large salad with grilled chicken, which was very good, some vegetable skewers, and a stuffed potato. And coffee. Everything was very good and plentiful. Fairly priced. Highly recommended. 25/07/2025: If you're visiting Assisi, Hotel la Rocca is a strategic choice. It's located right at the top of the historic center, and since Assisi is a very steep city, you can easily explore it by walking downhill, passing all the points of interest, starting with the Duomo, which is just steps away, and then continuing down to the church of San Francesco. If you're lazy (like me), once you've explored the city, you can take the city bus C to the upper terminus, just steps from the hotel. The same bus also takes you to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the train station. Everything is within easy reach. The hotel is also close to the Rocca Maggiore, which can be reached via a short, pleasant, uphill walk. The restaurant is excellent, offering delicious, hearty lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. The restaurant terrace offers a breathtaking view. The staff is friendly and helpful.

18/06/2025: Out of all the places we stayed, this was the one we were most disappointed with. Bed was representative of the hotel's name. Staff was least welcoming and we had the most diffulty in communication at meals.

02/02/2025: Friendly staff despite the terrible outcome given the inappropriate, uncomfortable arrangement without even having the foresight to make me eat with the tablecloth because I was arranged "as best I could". It would have been more professional to say "we are fully booked". The cold cuts were good, then I had some absolutely tasteless ravioli dipped in sauce and only then literally filled with cheap chilli powder. I ate 2 just long enough to realize that they were simply inedible!!! It was rightly taken off my final bill and I appreciated it I was with 3 other people who ate without being satisfied, each for different reasons. Disappointment for the non-existent truffle (only in cream and similar) Neither I nor they will return to this Osteria again

29/07/2025: The photos aren't real. At least the ones of the pizzas posted by the restaurant. The pizza was below expectations, tasteless and ugly to look at. If you make pizzas like this, maybe it's best to change your pizza chef. Not to be repeated. The atmosphere was decent and the service acceptable.

07/08/2025: Excellent restaurant with fresh dishes, including fish. Super friendly staff who recommended a truly excellent wine.
