15/03/2026: I went to this restaurant a few days ago for lunch. The place is very nice, although a bit small, and the noise from the various diners obviously echoes, making it a bit annoying. I found the food very salty, and the vegetables I asked for sautéed were not only very salty but completely tasteless, with no oil, garlic, or chili pepper; all you could taste was the salt. Lastly, a word of caution about what they call torta al testo, which isn't actually torta al testo because it's simply a standard white pizza with toppings. I say this with full knowledge of the facts, as I've been making torta al testo at home for many years (I'm a longtime Perugian), and I can assure you that a real torta al testo is something completely different, especially because it's not a leavened dough like a pizza... Of course, everyone can do what they want in their own restaurant, but they should at least give it a different name! I suggest: pizza Otello or pizza dello chef.

And the chef deserves an award...It's truly a beautiful place, the food is very good, the two waitresses are very nice and very good... the chef deserves an award.

11/04/2026: 80s-style venue, room service needs updating, adequate breakfast, friendly owners, spacious private parking, Assisi-style prices, but in my personal opinion, they should be a little lower than what's on offer. Location just outside the historic center.

The menu is extensive, but every dish is exquisite and prepared with the highest quality ingredients. After several visits to the city, this has officially become our favorite place. We can't wait to return!

28/12/2025: Dinner with friends. Service was practically nonexistent, despite the small number of us in the restaurant. Customers were not taken into account; we had to call every time to get what was missing. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. The location was beautiful, with convenient parking nearby.

06/07/2026: They make countless types of pizzas, all very shallow, crustless, and well-cooked. The dough is light and easy to digest, and the ingredients are good quality. On Sunday evening, the place was about 50% full, and we were served in less than 10 minutes from ordering. The outdoor space is lovely, with tables and chairs and large tables with benches. The staff is friendly and attentive. There's ample parking on holidays, but I'm not sure about weekdays, like lunchtime, because the place is in an industrial area with lots of warehouses.

15/04/2026: We visited during a field trip: the staff were extremely friendly (from the owner to the cleaning staff and kitchen staff, everyone); the food was plentiful and high-quality. The building is spacious without being overwhelming. The outdoor space is another plus. Highly recommended for both groups and families.

10/04/2026: We stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting Assisi. The service was immense, the food excellent, but the rooms were a bit dated.

19/05/2026: EMBARRASSING. A restaurant in the center of Assisi. We ordered two mixed salads with turkey. We received two mini salads the size of a side dish. The photos show the portion size relative to the size of a fork. I was incredulous. I asked the waitress serving us if the salad was a side dish or a main course. She told me it was included among the side dishes. NO. IT WAS A MAIN COURSE AND YOU CAN SEE IT ON THE MENU OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT. A ZERO RATING, NOT ONLY FOR THE RIP-OFF BUT ALSO FOR THE PERSON WHO SERVED US WITHOUT ASKING IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM. 24 EUROS FOR THIS STUFF. DON'T GO THERE.

03/05/2026: I had lunch at this restaurant with my family. I have no complaints about the location, which is central and very close to the Basilica of San Francesco. The service is really fast. The menu is short, which I think is a positive aspect regarding the quality of the products. The first courses were truly excellent and especially plentiful. The only flaw I would point out are the two platters, one of cured meats and one of cheeses, priced at €13 and €15, which were truly meager and not adequate for the price (just four wedges of cheese, while the cured meats were more varied). Even the house red wine was €16 a liter. These are prices I can partially justify given the touristy location, but there's a limit to everything.

26/06/2026: A really nice restaurant a few steps from the amazing Basilica; we ordered a “touristic” menu - an economic but wonderfully tasty option, and had a lovely time not only enjoying the food but also appreciating a wonderful oil painting conveying the feeling of midday heat in Umbria

23/11/2025: Located in the center of Assisi, a few steps from the Matteotti parking lot, this restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating. Extensive and tasty menu, from appetizers to dessert, including pizza and pinsa with a variety of flavors. Very good food, generous portions, and average, yet reasonably priced. Friendly staff, good service.

26/04/2026: I arrived here by chance. I was coming from Assisi, which I visited on a very busy day: hot, crowded, chaotic, a stressful day. I begin the road to this place where I had booked, I enter the Subasio Park... Suddenly everything stops, here nature bewitches you, with its silence, it makes you slow down, woods, meadows, streams, birdsong... The road to get there is already a beautiful journey, and then we arrive. A tiny, meticulously maintained village, stone houses, flowers everywhere, aromatic herbs... Lavender, rosemary. Everything is enchanting. We grab our bags and head to reception where Delia welcomes us. She sees the joy of being there in our eyes and explains where we are. The nature, the presence of the history of Saint Francis, the little churches... In a few words, she guides us through this first approach to this corner of the world. We drop our bags in our room, in true local style, and then we head to dinner. From the reception, we enter a fully glassed-in veranda, including the ceiling, warm when the temperature outside was plummeting. Breathtaking views, a splendid sunset. Warm, low, warm jazz music. We're accompanied by Giacomo, a discreet, welcoming, smiling, professional young man whose every touch fits the place with simplicity and elegance. And then dinner... Or rather, a gastronomic experience featuring the farm's products, from cured meats to wines, spirits, and dishes curated by Chef Filippo, who draws inspiration from the local area with simplicity and passion... with incredible mastery... a lavender oil panna cotta that's incredible, unforgettable! In the morning, we meet Roberta at breakfast. She fell in love with this land and moved here from Emilia. She promotes this place with immense dedication, promoting the slow way to enjoy these places, with a communication style that captivates and encourages people to stay. Thanks to her, we changed our plans and stayed to enjoy the trails, the nature, and the history. So, a must-see place with incredible staff... Highly recommended is an understatement! We'll be back, thank you so much ❤️

26/04/2026: Dinner (paid separately) and breakfast were excellent. Very friendly staff. The room we were given, perhaps intended for Wonderboxes or similar, was very small and had some dampness seeping through the walls, as it was partially underground. The setting and surroundings were spectacular.

24/04/2026: Fast and efficient service but the food was mediocre minus. It's a good value for money but not much more.

16/04/2026: Despite the nearby competition, it remains one of the best in terms of food. The venue isn't the best, and the staff speaks little Italian, but their kindness and helpfulness are appreciated.
