15/03/2026: I went to this restaurant a few days ago for lunch. The place is very nice, although a bit small, and the noise from the various diners obviously echoes, making it a bit annoying. I found the food very salty, and the vegetables I asked for sautéed were not only very salty but completely tasteless, with no oil, garlic, or chili pepper; all you could taste was the salt. Lastly, a word of caution about what they call torta al testo, which isn't actually torta al testo because it's simply a standard white pizza with toppings. I say this with full knowledge of the facts, as I've been making torta al testo at home for many years (I'm a longtime Perugian), and I can assure you that a real torta al testo is something completely different, especially because it's not a leavened dough like a pizza... Of course, everyone can do what they want in their own restaurant, but they should at least give it a different name! I suggest: pizza Otello or pizza dello chef.

18/03/2026: In Assisi, you go up and down... Even to enter shops and public establishments, there are steps to climb... For someone with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair, it's truly difficult! Luckily, this business had thought of this and set up an outdoor area accessible to disabled people! So we stopped for lunch here. And we were lucky! In addition to being greeted by attentive and kind staff, we ate really well. A generous and delicious platter of local cured meats was served to us, accompanied by a delicious local wine. We left satisfied, even if the bill was a little (just a little) more expensive than it looked... But that's to be expected, given the tourist traffic here.

23/11/2025: Located in the center of Assisi, a few steps from the Matteotti parking lot, this restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating. Extensive and tasty menu, from appetizers to dessert, including pizza and pinsa with a variety of flavors. Very good food, generous portions, and average, yet reasonably priced. Friendly staff, good service.

05/04/2026: We came to this place out of necessity for a traditional, casual setting. We found something completely different: the service was even good, the waiters were friendly, nothing to complain about... The problem was that after ordering two fillets with Gorgonzola and plum fondue, we had to wait 38 minutes for our order, and the place wasn't even full. When our plate finally arrived, there were exactly three 4-centimeter-long cylinders of meat inside, and underneath them some Gorgonzola-flavored water that couldn't really be called fondue. The final price was exactly €50 for two fillets and two bottles of water... Absurd. Given the positive reviews, we expected much better. Furthermore, when the owner at the cashier asked us how it went and we replied that there wasn't much food on the plate, he responded quite rudely... Unfortunately, intent on taking stock of the situation, we didn't take photos or videos. I'm just saying it's a tourist trap and we, being tourist traps, fell right into it.

28/11/2025: Visited during the Easter period. The hotel is beautiful, a little dated, but it fits the style of the area. The food was really good, and the service was excellent, from the restaurant to the front desk. The rooms had everything you need, but they were very basic but very comfortable. The cleanliness was good. The location was perfect, halfway between the town center and the village of Assisi, easily accessible on foot. I highly recommend it, especially for the attention to detail in managing this hotel. The price was fair. Special thanks to Gianna and Alessandro, two wonderful people.

05/01/2026: I booked two nights through Smartbox next July, paying an additional fee of about €50. I received a booking confirmation by email... only to be contacted via WhatsApp and told they made a mistake when I cancelled! I find neither "La Tavola dei Cavalieri" nor Smartbox to be professional at all. Terrible service and disorganization!

04/01/2026: This agriturismo is nestled in an enchanting setting, nestled in the peaceful woods, ideal for those seeking tranquility and nature. It should be noted, however, that access is via a rather rough dirt road, which should be taken into consideration. The property, in terms of rooms and common areas, is average. The staff is very committed, and the young waiter deserves special mention for his excellent availability. Despite this, the overall service requires significant organizational improvement: for example, dishes sometimes arrive before drinks, or guests have to repeatedly ask for essentials (bread, grated cheese, etc.). Breakfast was completely inadequate in terms of the variety and availability of the buffet. Dinner was also a sore point, with prices high for the portions offered and the level of service. This is a place with great potential, which unfortunately is not yet fully realized.
