13/12/2025: I can't give zero stars, otherwise I would have. You walk in feeling fooled by the place, which looks nice from the outside. The prices are insane, completely unjustified by the products. A Nutella crepe that felt like sandpaper, a hot chocolate that was like lukewarm pudding. A real tourist trap.

28/07/2025: What a shame to know that in Rivotorto there's an ice cream shop that unfairly takes advantage of young people and tourists to earn a few extra euros!!! I'm Italian, and my entire family lives in Umbria. Fate has brought me to live in France for many years now. My children arrived in Rivotorto yesterday afternoon, after a bus journey of over eighteen hours: their high school is taking fifty students to the Jubilee, and for three days, they're staying in Rivotorto, in the footsteps of Saint Francis. What a joy for them to have their first Italian ice cream! Too bad that, even though the price displayed for a cone was 3 euros, once at the cashier, the 3 euros mysteriously turn into 4 euros! My daughter, who speaks perfect Italian, asks why, without having a valid answer, because, obviously, they've been cheated. It's a shame that, just to make a few extra euros, Bar Pampanoni contributes to a terrible image of our beautiful country: millions of tourists pass through Assisi every year, and even more so this year with the Jubilee. What will they think of us Italians if they're scammed like this? So, if you're passing through Rivotorto, avoid Bar Pampanoni!

11/11/2025: I celebrated my graduation at this restaurant, and everything was simply fantastic! The food was delicious, with generous portions and super friendly staff. They even left a whole room for me even though it was Sunday! Definitely worth a try <3

The restaurant is located in a quaint alley, and having lunch or dinner there makes everything even more special, with that typical atmosphere of the historic center that makes you feel immersed in the city. The dishes are truly spectacular: authentic flavors, wholesome ingredients, and meticulous preparation that leave you speechless. Every course I tried was truly excellent, from the starter to the dessert, with a perfect balance of flavor and tradition. The staff is welcoming and helpful, always ready to recommend the house specialties with warmth and friendliness. Even when I went to eat there, I immediately felt at ease, and I would definitely return. In short, Osteria da Santu Mangione is highly recommended for those who want to enjoy traditional Umbrian cuisine in a rustic and authentic setting, with impeccable service and memorable dishes. 🍝🍷✨

01/01/2026: Welcoming place. Authentic cuisine, featuring traditional Umbrian dishes, with an eye for local products. Exceptional prosciutto, as was the peasant-style lamb. Attentive and helpful service, even though the place was packed. Paolo, the owner, was, as always, a pleasant and friendly person.

03/01/2026: Very good pizza Excellent value for money

01/01/2026: We ordered two pizzas and some fried food to go for dinner. Reservations are available until 8:00 PM, but delivery after that isn't guaranteed. The pizza is thin-crust but lightly topped. The "Subasio" pizza (similar to a vegetarian pizza) had 1 asparagus spear, two zucchini slices, and a slice of eggplant. The "Perugina" pizza (a Margherita with sausage) had almost no tomato sauce, even though it's a "red" pizza. Overall, it was edible. The Ascolana olives were delicious. Cost €23.

19/10/2025: An unexpected surprise. The atmosphere is 1980s-style, but the food was excellent. The lasagna was truly memorable, not to mention the dessert, a zuppa inglese that spoke volumes!

22/12/2025: TRY AGAIN. NI... EATEN OK MUSHROOMS DEEP THE WHOLE PIZZA IN WATER... LE ANTRE EATEN BETTER TWICE... COKE ON DRAFT, REGULARLY FLAVOURED... ........ OKAY. ... Staff, especially the girls To be given full marks 👍👍👍👍👍👍 anyway, we all say... Price a bit high... Cold near the window... despite the heaters... THEN the place was filled with my two colleagues. It was starting to feel like air is running out. Huh... but nothing special anyway...

07/12/2025: Rude and unhelpful staff. Disorganized. To make money, they take reservation after reservation, forcing people to consume in less than half an hour and seating them at tables next to strangers. This is the second year we've left because of this, so they're accustomed to this terrible customer management. Not recommended to anyone.

28/12/2025: Dinner with friends. Service was practically nonexistent, despite the small number of us in the restaurant. Customers were not taken into account; we had to call every time to get what was missing. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. The location was beautiful, with convenient parking nearby.

15/02/2026: A delightful restaurant in the center of Assisi. Very welcoming staff, in an atmosphere that exudes style and authenticity. A prime example of this is the owner, Arturo, who carries on the family tradition with warmth and great class: it was love at first sight. In a word? SWAG

02/08/2025: This was a beautiful restaurant. It has a very home style appeal. It's also a hotel which is convenient if youre looking to stay in the area. It's near the Basilica of St Francis Assisi. The food was delicious. Tasty. Service was fast and efficient. Staff was very friendly. They accommodated split checks due to our group. Definitely a recommendation. I loved the carbonara.

23/12/2025: Excellent, fast, and friendly service. Both the pizza and the typical Umbrian appetizers are delicious. The restaurant is spacious but a bit noisy, perhaps due to the large crowd.

04/03/2026: A terrible experience. The hotel staff, late at night, even at midnight, would start yelling and playing, slamming doors in the hallway. In short, they were unprofessional and showed no respect for those trying to rest. After reporting the situation to the front desk and asking for assistance, they didn't resolve the issue; the staff were always yelling and playing. Furthermore, when you needed something, like at the bar, you never found them. I'm sorry, but this hotel is a no-go.

21/12/2025: We came on an organized tour and stayed one night before continuing on to Assisi. The staff was friendly, and I found the room comfortable. We were in the new wing. Unfortunately, I didn't find the food to be of high quality, but rather cafeteria-style. For dinner, they served us a pumpkin risotto that was overcooked and bland. There was little variety and no quality. Breakfast was even worse: just sugar and nonexistent protein. There were croissants, bread, and chocolate spread, tarts, and fruit juices. There was no Greek yogurt (I asked the waiter), no eggs, no bacon, etc. The food certainly needs a major overhaul.

08/12/2025: During my stay at the Hotel Los Angeles in Assisi, I found the atmosphere truly welcoming and attentive. The room was brand new, extremely clean, and equipped with all the necessary comforts. The staff stood out for their courtesy and helpfulness: Michele, the maître d', was attentive and thoughtful, while Chiara at the front desk welcomed us with kindness and professionalism. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this property.

05/01/2026: Small but cozy place. The menu is basic, but everything is very good. I recommend it for a quick, no-frills lunch.
