Podere La Marrronaia In San gimignano

We live near Napa and have been to hundreds of wineries. This was perhaps the best experience I’ve ever had. The setting is spectacular - a sweeping view of the Tuscan countryside. The entire operation is run by the family - warm, genuine, knowledgeable and simply lovely. Every single detail is thought of from olive oil tasting glass to the balsamic tasting spoon and the food bites to the history of the winery and Tuscan winemaking. The tasting host was perfection - knowledgeable and authentic. The wines, olive oils and balsamic vinegars were unique and excellent! We shipped a bunch home. A MUST stop if you are in Tuscany. (And the vineyard dogs are so cute!)

A true gem just a short distance from the center of San Gimignano. We had the pleasure of a truly delightful experience, immersed in the beauty of the estate, meticulously curated down to the smallest detail. The tasting, accompanied by a meticulously prepared lunch, took place in a truly unique location: a reserved table just steps from the vineyard, with a splendid view of the vines and, in the background, the unmistakable profile of San Gimignano. The wine and food fully lived up to expectations, but what truly makes this estate special is the attention and care given to its guests. The staff stands out for their professionalism, warmth, and authenticity—elements that make all the difference. A special thank you to the talented Margherita, who looked after us with great care and kindness. Highly recommended for those seeking a genuine, elegant experience immersed in the local area.

Absolutely wonderful lunch experience with wine, oil, and vinegar tasting. Ricarrdo was our server/tour guide and he was very informative and kind. He showed us the vineyards and explained the various grapes and wines that are made and then during each part of lunch with a new wine tasting he explained the differences between the wines and how they are made, along with the different oils and vinegars. The food was absolutely delicious and it felt like you were in someone’s home eating food made with love and care. The wines were great and varied and we took home some oil to continue our Tuscan dreams stateside! Highly recommend if you are visiting San gimignano or nearby towns in the area.

Fantastic place. The sunset was amazing. We went during the spring festival. It was amazing. I would love to visit outside of the festival too, with less people. Overall a fantastic time and highly recommend.

An ideal spot to spend a long lazy lunch in the Tuscan sun. Highly recommend the lunch with wine, olive oil and balsamic tasting!

A pleasant location, we were very satisfied, both with the wine, olive oil, and cheese tasting, and with Adriano, a very capable and helpful guy. The only regret was not being able to visit the winery.
