Saturday lunch. Four adults and two children. Small but welcoming place. Polite and friendly staff. Homemade dishes, exquisite. Absolutely worth trying. Better to book, there are not many tables

Ci troviamo a pranzo in questo locale dopo aver constatato che gran parte dei più noti del borgo erano chiusi per stagione. Tuttavia la scelta è stata molto buona: la posizione del ristorante è molto particolare, affaccia su una piazzetta interna molto bella e caratteristica; il personale ci trova posto anche senza prenotazione. Personalmente prendo i pici all’aglione e il cinghiale in umido, tutto molto buono. Suggerisco solo di proporre al cliente la carta dei vini, attualmente ci si deve alzare dal tavolo e controllare di persona le bottiglie disponibili, per poi chiedere il prezzo al cameriere (procedura un po’ macchinosa). Servizio cordiale, espansivo (anche molto espansivo, a noi non ha dato noia, ma qualcuno potrebbe definirlo un po’ troppo “presente”). Non abbiamo avuto problemi a pagare col pos contrariamente a quanto leggo su altre recensioni. Prezzo tutto sommato abbastanza onesto.

I was there on Sunday and we ate very well, an excellent starter and a stewed wild boar which was out of this world. The owner is a very smart person and the waiter is very nice. I highly recommend it.

Small and welcoming restaurant, it feels like home! Family atmosphere and quality food I ate an appetizer of cured meats (good but not very abundant, it could be improved) and a truly stellar plate of pasta with wild boar ragout 😍 Definitely recommended if you are looking for an easy-going and simple place but with excellent food. Prices in line with those of other local restaurants

Quando passo da San Gimignano è una tappa fissa a mezzogiorno,ambiente piccolo ,bisogna prenotare,rapporto qualità/prezzo buono,servizio cortese e rapido,peccato che il ragù di cinghiale sapeva di “ frigo” quindi non proprio fresco (e se lo dice mia moglie c’è da fidarsi),per il resto tutto buono,poco all all aglione squisiti!!!

AMAZING FOOD. This place was recommended to us by our rental car guy in Florence and it was one of the best meals we’ve had. Service was wonderful too. Everyone was friendly.
