04/05/2026: An absolutely wonderful experience! The location was ideal, the food was incredibly delicious, and the service was impeccable. Everything felt just right. I would definitely recommend visiting!

04/05/2026: We have had a lot of great meals on this trip, but none surpassed our dinner here. The gorgeous patio was a quiet and sophisticated backdrop for exceptional boar ragu, pork ribs that (literally) stunned us, and fabulous dessert. The local vernaccia wine was a great compliment and they gave us an adorable little parting gift for tomorrow. I wish I could come back again and again. On our next trip to Tuscany it will be the first reservation we make.

08/07/2026: A very nice restaurant with excellent food; the ambiance is lovely and the location is somewhat off the beaten tourist track. The staff is very polite and attentive. The prices reflect the quality! It's no wonder the restaurant is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide.

09/05/2026: My cousin Luca and I decided to take a motorcycle ride together, leaving from my house in Fauglia to head to San Gimignano. Beautiful roads, a blooming season, a sunny day, and... a million people who had made the same choice as us, going to San Gimignano. Having motorcycles didn't do us any good; we ended up getting a fine for "parking" them in a corner where they weren't a nuisance but weren't in a "permitted" space. A bit of anger toward a city council that doesn't understand that, when access to the city is limited, a bit of flexibility is needed. After all, we're there to bring in tourist money. Well, that aside, we chose a slightly less central restaurant to avoid the crowds: "Il Pino." Elegant, with tables on a side street with no traffic and not too many people. We sat at unattractive tables and chairs without tablecloths, which didn't match the high-end restaurant prices. Fortunately, the food is excellent, with a wide selection without being overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and close-knit, which is evident from the fact that it's a long-standing family business that also includes a B&B. I asked permission to photograph and tour the place, and they very kindly said yes. The rooms are very beautiful and include a beautifully renovated former stable. All in all, a very pleasant experience that I recommend. The only reason I didn't give it full marks was the lackluster nature of the table.

05/05/2026: We stopped by on a whim and pushed open the door because the menu looked so tempting. We were so glad we did for lunch. The asparagus and truffle risotto was excellent, and the stuffed pigeon was sublime. The wine pairings were superb! Kudos and thanks to the waiter for his generosity in sharing his regional specialties.

18/07/2026: For the meat lover. The meat was simply divine. Warning!! "No Pasta" This is almost like a warning as soon as you walk in. 😁 Ah, and our side dishes were delicious too 😋.

11/07/2026: Stumbled accross this restaurant after a long hot day. We had a lovely casual outdoor dinning experience. Head waiters spoke good English and happily taught us some Italian so we could properly order. We let the waiter take care or our contris after we ordered and it was perfect. More than pizzas available on their menu. Glad we stopped as we’ve been able to navigate other restaurants menus much better after this experience. Good food and atmosphere !

28/11/2025: After a very tiring journey, we just wanted a quick pizza that evening. We found this little pizzeria and were completely won over. Not only is the pizza excellent, but so are the two (?) owners. Many thanks for the pizza, the beer recommendations, and the short, pleasant conversations. We'll definitely be back!

21/11/2025: This place is AMAZING!!!!!!!! The owners were simply delightful and so generous. We went in and ordered a pizza just for me and my boyfriend. We were greeted with such hospitality. They gave us additional stuffed flat breads just because they were worried we would be hungry. What a delightful experience. The pizza and the flatbreads were to DIE FOR!!!! Must try

05/07/2026: For a delicious, fast, and very cheap meal, this is the ideal place. Super generous portions for kids!

30/06/2026: Wow, these ladies make a mean sandwich!!! We had the sandwich with local prosciutto, fresh pecorino and truffle sauce, wow. It was called Florenza I believe. I believed that we’re definitely in the truffle country. I didn’t take a picture because looked like a regular sandwich so we were very surprised by how amazing it tasted. Must try.

12/06/2026: The food is incredibly delicious. We had the bruschetta, 2 pizzas, and coffee with dessert. After less than an hour, we received the bill WITHOUT asking. There was only a 1-minute gap between the bruschetta and the pizza. Tasty, but they had to rush; a real shame.

04/02/2026: Beautiful day, we had a great time. Good food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere, we had a great time (it was a family birthday). The prices were more than reasonable. Highly recommended, even for locals. PS: The house wine, even the Riserva version, isn't the best, although it's attractively priced.

24/01/2026: This ravioli place is amazing ㅠㅠ The wild boar ragu was a bit dry, but I understood and ate it because they said it was an authentic dish ㅎㅎ The staff were all friendly and the atmosphere was great! There are also a lot of locals!!

01/07/2026: My wife and I had dinner here: the restaurant is beautiful, located in a 13th-century building. The pici alla cinta senese and the local tagliata steak were excellent. We drank Vernaccia di San Gimignano.

29/06/2026: The Ristorante Peruca is quite special. We had a wonderful lunch there while visiting San Gimiginano and could not have been happier with our meal. The food is really quite exceptional. Everything we tried was fantastic. Highly recommend.
