First of all, thank you because we arrived at 2:15 PM, the kitchen was about to close, and you welcomed us anyway...but not only that...you welcomed us with superlative service, kindness, and the utmost attention. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and calm, the place is beautiful, perfect for enjoying excellent food. I ate a perfect Florentine steak. The best. Thank you so much!!! The price was more than fair, in fact...!

24/11/2025: We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at San Martino 26. We were absolutely delighted. The food, the wine pairings, the ambiance, and the friendly and competent service were all fantastic. We're already looking forward to celebrating our golden wedding anniversary there in 25 years...

09/11/2025: During our trip, we decided to stop in San Gimignano — one of our favorite Italian towns. We parked in a different area than usual, and during our walk, we discovered San Martino 26, a charming restaurant that proudly holds a Michelin distinction. We decided to give it a try. Our first surprise came when we learned that each guest must order at least two main courses. As vegetarians, this wasn’t the easiest requirement for us, but the waiter was exceptionally helpful and explained all the options with great care. The second pleasant surprise came when the meal began: we were served a selection of five different starters, a bread course, the two mains we had ordered, and even dessert — all beautifully presented. Everything was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The chef personally came to our table to make sure we were happy with our meal, which was a lovely touch. I also ordered a glass of white wine, which paired perfectly with the dishes. The place, the food, and the service are all an easy 10 out of 10. San Martino 26 is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality cuisine and authentic Tuscan hospitality.

26/11/2025: It is absolutely unacceptable for a business to claim it is open and display operating hours on Google, leading customers to adjust their schedule and plan a night out for dinner, only to arrive and find the place closed. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers.

06/12/2025: It was our first time here, and I don't think I'd return. There's no parking, but beyond that, the place feels dank and a bit run-down. We ordered two appetizers, which were all in all acceptable. Then came two Picci (which weren't picci) with a sauce that looked like Chianina ragù. To top it all off, the coffee cup (at the bottom) was completely stained with dried coffee. Furthermore, the sugar packets were stained with equally dried coffee, probably recovered from another table. Luckily, the staff accommodated us and took the first course off our bill. I'll end by saying that the place isn't worth the price we paid.

08/12/2025: A truly worth-trying place. The city is beautiful, with lots of tourists, of course, and sometimes you'll find yourself being fooled, but that's not the case with this place. A restaurant with truly exquisite, high-quality dishes; among the dishes we ordered, I found the steak to be excellent. Excellent service, and the place is worth a visit. There were three of us, including a child, who was treated with warmth and hospitality.

07/12/2025: A unique, enchanting place; traditional Tuscan food, but also vegetarian options. Last but not least, a lovely selection of wines, Tuscan of course, the traditional method at the beginning is truly top-notch!

07/11/2025: Loved our dinner here. We tried several items on the menu and each one was delicious. Great service and kind staff. They gave us some delicious recommendations and we were not disappointed. The restaurant inside seating is comfortable and not cramped. Give it a try!

27/10/2025: The food was tasteless and poorly presented. I've never had such bad lasagna. Also, the white bread was uneatable—hard and tasteless. The pizza was about 4 centimeters thick—presumably meant to be American in pizza-loving Italy. You can get good food elsewhere.

01/11/2025: We spent three days in Tuscany and came to eat here three times (my pick was tartare). My friend has many allergies and the chef took all her requests very seriously. No eye rolling or rude responses. The food is very good, but what made us return is the friendliness, good sense of humour and kindness of people who work in this place. For everyone, who writes nasty reviews, I want to suggest shift the focus a bit and appreciate the beauty of the work that is done in this restaurant.

08/12/2025: The welcome was truly excellent, as was the service, and the quality of the food was excellent. Dishes like Tuscan ribollita, pici cacio e pepe, truffle and saffron risotto, and sausage and baked potatoes were all top-notch. Highly recommended.

18/11/2025: My family and I went there for a tasting evening, "among the villages and wineries of Tuscany." Each dish had its own pairing, brought from a local winery. Everything was delicious, we'll definitely be back.

02/12/2025: We stopped here for lunch and found the food to be tasty homemade Italian quality with very friendly staff and reasonable prices. It was a good find if you are looking for a hole in the wall type place. Truffle shavings in the pasta would have made it better. The pizza was great.

01/12/2025: We happened upon this little restaurant yesterday by chance. It wasn't a pleasant experience. When I needed the bathroom, I found that there was only one for both sexes. It was a narrow folding door that barely closed with a latch, and in fact, while I was inside, a customer opened the door for me, which the aforementioned latch couldn't keep closed. I was really pissed off. A bathroom in this state is absolutely not up to standard, especially considering the small place and the small tables that struggle to accommodate the dishes. The owners, however, were friendly. The much-vaunted ribollita was quite mediocre, as was the tiramisu. After coffee, the owner, without asking, brought us the receipt to the table. Is this a way of prompting us to leave the place?

08/08/2025: If you are looking for authenticity with fresh and delicious products: LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Sandwiches with ingredients cut in front of you...nothing better. All of Italy gathered in this place. Our waiter kind and helpful. 👍👍👍

21/07/2025: The products here are great, high quality and worth trying, which earns this place an extra star. But the service was a letdown. We were just two people, and it felt like we weren’t worth the staff’s time. Before us, larger groups were getting enthusiastic recommendations, explanations, and genuinely warm service. When it was our turn, the atmosphere shifted completely. No suggestions, no effort, just a cold, dismissive interaction that made us feel unwelcome. If you’re not part of a big crowd or don't look snobby enough, don’t expect the same treatment.

12/11/2025: I highly recommend it. Francesca is lovely and always attentive. The breakfast is generous and delicious, with many fresh, homemade products. She gives us great tips for sightseeing. The location is ideal, a 5-minute walk from San Geminiano. It's clean, tastefully decorated, and peaceful.

I stopped by to ask if I could take some photos, and she kindly said yes. She was incredibly welcoming and sweet. Even though I didn’t stay at Francesca’s place, her warmth and generosity made me feel truly welcome. From the moment we connected, she extended kindness that went far beyond expectation. Whether it was her thoughtful gestures, helpful advice, or simply the way she made me feel included, I’m deeply grateful. It’s rare to meet someone who opens their heart so freely. Her hospitality wasn’t about a room or a roof—it was about making someone feel seen, valued, and cared for. That’s a gift, and I won’t forget it. 16/11/2025: A hidden gem just outside San Gimignano. Let's start with the owners, who are truly friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the bread is superb, adding a touch of class to the whole experience. The appetizers are very tasty and generous. They also have a nice selection of wines at very reasonable prices, and a wide selection of beers. We'll definitely be back.

16/11/2025: What a lovely discovery! The two owners are delightful people: friendly, welcoming, and always ready for a chat, which makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. The ingredients are all fresh and locally sourced, and you can taste it: every sandwich is carefully prepared, tasty, and meticulously prepared. A place we'll definitely return to—quality, friendliness, and authenticity are the hallmarks!

13/11/2025: We chanced upon this charming, family-owned eatery and café bar and were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food and warm hospitality. The place is clean, cozy, and comfortably welcoming — you almost feel as if you’ve known them for years. Marco, his mother, and brother run it with genuine care and friendliness. Its location is extremely convenient, just by the bus stops to and from San Gimignano. Highly recommend dropping by to experience their heartfelt service and delicious offerings.
