A REAL chef in the kitchen with talent and creativity. We hope that Michelin guide will grant him his first star in the future. A MUST DO for those who love food and travel by San Gimignano. Thank you Ardit for this beautiful culinary experience.

We loved our experience at San Martino 26. The setting is small and intimate, service is impeccable and location allows you to watch the world go by while enjoying your meal. We ordered from the à la carte menu and asked for a wine pairing suggestion which was fantastic. The wine accounted for half of the total bill. I had the risotto and catch of the day. My partner ordered the filled parpadelle and sucking pig. The only thing missing was crackling with the suckling pig. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a Michelin star quality meal in a relaxed setting.

A very nice restaurant with excellent food; the ambiance is lovely and the location is somewhat off the beaten tourist track. The staff is very polite and attentive. The prices reflect the quality! It's no wonder the restaurant is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide.

There were two of us, and we each ordered a set menu with a classic wine pairing. The food was very good; some courses were truly perfect, others good, but overall we were impressed. Unfortunately, the kitchen was very fast, especially at the beginning, and with the first few courses, the next one arrived before we'd even finished our glass of wine. We had to ask for a little more time between courses later on. Furthermore, some of the wines were simply too cold, so I couldn't really enjoy them until several minutes later, when almost the entire corresponding course (the portions were small due to the number of courses) was gone. Since there were only a handful of other guests in the restaurant, they could have paid more attention to this and taken the wines out of the refrigerator earlier. What bothered us somewhat was the way the owner/manager treated his two waiters, who were genuinely very attentive and did a good job, but at times seemed genuinely intimidated by him. Only the owner himself was allowed to explain the dishes – when asked, he explained that he was currently training a new team – and if, for example, an empty plate sat for a minute too long, he would glare at them. There was a general tension in the air that dampened the atmosphere. It's a real shame, otherwise we would have given it 5 stars, but then the interpersonal dynamics would have had to be better. Price-wise, the restaurant is definitely on the high side; whether that was simply because the entire dining room was empty except for one other couple, we don't know.

Went there for a dinner had the smaller tasting menu as we are not very hungry people usually, and it was perfect to the last minute detail. We had Italian champagne for a starter tasted amazing and literally not far from the real French champagne and tasted amazing, then we had the local white wine with the dinner and it did not disappoint. Staff were very welcoming and if you are staying in San Gimignano for one night and want to make it special this is the place to go.

An exceptional gem! Easily on par with the Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve visited. We stumbled upon San Martino 26 by accident for lunch, and it unexpectedly turned out to be the most memorable dining experience of our 20-day journey across Italy. The intimate dining environment is beautifully curated and full of unique character. The food is truly exceptional—showcasing remarkable individuality and soul in every dish, standing out completely from the traditional culinary landscape. A true masterpiece in San Gimignano that left the deepest impression on our entire trip!

We had the 7-course menu with the classic wine pairing. The food was fantastic, the wines were excellent, and the staff was very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Incredibly good service and atmosphere. It was just the two of us and we took our time. Each dish (5 courses) was explained perfectly and was highly recommended, paired wonderfully with a bottle of 2020 Pogiarello Roso. Highly recommended!

Very good restaurant. The portions are a bit small. Very welcoming staff. No wine list by the glass: €15 a glass is steep. We would have liked to have a choice. Very good homemade bread and amuse-bouche.
