Yes convinced!.. the family service with a desire for professionalism makes the stop pleasant. The kitchen too! The pici with herbs (I don't remember the name) and the wild boar with aftertastes to discover are fantastic. The price... the right one... if you want to spend little forget it. The management of intolerances needs to be improved (the will is there) Well done!

02/04/2024: Excellent! Food and service both exquisite! We stayed in Volterra over the weekend and had lunch inside this restaurant in a small cave, truly suggestive. An experience you absolutely must try!

27/09/2023: We stopped in for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We ate divinely, a hot focaccia with exquisite cured meats, cheese and truffles. Excellent quality. Very clean facilities. Advise!

16/09/2023: The service was very nice and helpful. The cappuccino was one of the best on our trip to Italy and the price was unbeatable. In Florence we paid 4 times as much. A clear recommendation.

23/10/2023: El restaurante se encuentra en varios salones del hotel y en un porche adjunto. El servicio es muy bueno, conocen la carta y la elaboración de los platos, y nos aconsejaron estupendamente. Tomamos de aperitivo una croqueta de jabalí, de entrante un plazo de vieiras a la plancha, de principales, pasta con pato y ternera y pasta a la trufa, y postre de chocolate con avellanas y frutos del bosque. Acompañamos con el mismo vino que nos encontramos como detalle en la habitación, Rosso del Guardia. Nos gustó especialmente la pasta de pato y ternera y el postre. Precio: 197€, acorde al servicio, calidad de los productos y entorno que ofrece.

06/01/2024: Dal pane alla pasta, dalle salse per i formaggi alla birra tutto fatto da loro. Un’esperienza unica, tant’è che ho chiesto al proprietario di venire ad aprire a Roma. Un posto dove fanno le birre e le vendono nello stesso momento? Non potevamo non provarlo in questa uggiosa epifania voltura! E abbiamo fatto una scelta eccellente. Ottima scelta di hamburgers e cibo di qualità. Ma le regine sono le birre. Ne abbiamo provate tre alla spina, tutte eccellenti e talmente entusiasti da esportarne altre quattro in bottiglia in territorio romano. Che dire? Aprite a Roma!!!!

Circa 3 ore per un antipasto da autogrill e 1 primo ( pasta cotta bene ) pici al cinghiale, immaginate la peggiore salsetta da discount, alle nostre lamentele e educate domande sulla lunga attesa , la stessa ripetitiva e inaccettabile giustificazione: siete arrivati tutti insieme, abbiamo lasciato senza che arrivassero i secondi, forse è stato meglio. Da evitare

31/10/2023: Il palagetto bellissimo , ho affitato la stanza superior con terraza e invece mi hanno datto un balcone e la luce del bagno non funzionava. La colazione Buona ma il cibo del restaurant molto male. Tutto il tempo in hotel ti senti come se ti controllassero

06/04/2024: Splendid restaurant in the picturesque Piazza dei Priori in Volterra. Traditional menu, not touristy and with more than correct prices, corresponding to the quality of the food. We were here on a Saturday evening, without having booked we were welcomed and found a seat. As an appetizer we ordered a delicious bruschetta with guacamole and cherry tomatoes, followed by a Volterrana soup and spaghetti with pesto and pine nuts. Beautiful warm and enveloping atmosphere, the place has an ancient charm, with a splendid frescoed ceiling.

17/10/2023: While touring Volterra we stopped for probably the best gelato experience. Even with a line at the counter we waited and then enjoyed the best Pistacchio gelato. Hopefully we will be back to enjoy it again.

31/08/2023: Winner of gelato championships 2017/2018. Excellent quality and flavours. Delicious champion fresh mint. Beats Dondole in San Gimignano easily (previous favourite now sadly diminished). Didn’t try enough to know it’s the best in Volterra - but seems likely…

24/02/2024: Overall: I would not recommend to eat in the restaurant, but rather take the food to go. I’m surprised as my experience was very different than the top comments and photos. But it seems that in the last 5 months several tourist had the same experience. Good points: -SERVICE: Despite the lunch time indicated from 12h00 to 14h00 and I arrived at 14h05 and they let me eat at the restaurant Bad point: -PRICE: The dishes on the menu are the same as the food the displayed on the counter to take away by weight but the price is quite different. I took the sword fish which was 16 euros on the menu and on the counter I could see it was 4.5 euros for 100 grams. I got the plate with around 100-150 grams of what was shown on the counter and nothing else. (Around 3x the price) To clarify the comment , the prices are clearly shown on the menu and the dish was tasty.

07/01/2024: Di passaggio con mia moglie, prenotato prima telefonicamente, sapevo essere un posto particolare, pochi tavolini essendo una rivendita/ cucina di pesce. Servizio e personale accogliente e gentile. Abbiamo preso due fritture ( una normale e una fritturona con paranza e tutti i tipi di pesce….spada .,paranza …baccala…) mezzo vino bianco patatine e verdure fritte, acqua e ….amaro del peschereccio, ottimo tutto . Mi soffermerei sulla paranza della frittura; pesci grandi e in numero considerevole, non vi alzerete con la fame!! Speso meno di 50 euro in due. consiglio questo locale , poi potete visitare anche la bellezza di volterra ….. siamo stati molto bene.
