25/11/2024: Sono stato con dei colleghi (eravamo in 6) a cena. Oltre dei primi abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di salumi e un patè di fegato da mettere in centro tavola giusto per assaggiare. Quando arriva l' antipasto ci rendiamo subito conto che evidentemente la cameriera aveva capito male portandoci antipasti per 6 persone. Allorché ribadiamo subito che avevamo ordinato solo un antipasto , la cameriera, gentilissima ci dice che ne andava a parlare col titolare. Dopo pochi minuti arriva un altro cameriere, che gentilmente ci dice di non preoccuparci, che è stato un errore loro, che potevamo mangiare quello che volevamo e che comunque avremmo pagato solo quello che avevamo ordinato. A fine cena quando ci rechiamo alla cassa per pagare, troviamo la sorpresa. Nel conto vengono conteggiati 6 antipasti. Un mio collega tranquillamente prova a spiegare al signore che era in cassa (molto probabilmente il titolare) che c'è un errore. Non l' avesse mai fatto.. è stato aggredito verbalmente con urla e toni veramente allucinanti, dicendogli che se non voleva pagare poteva anche togliersi dai co.....ni. Praticamente non ha voluto minimamente ascoltare quello che il mio collega stava cercando di dirgli pacatamente, invitandolo a lasciare il locale perché lui i suoi soldi non li voleva. Subito dopo mentre pagavo senza discutere , ho riprovato anch'io a dirgli che forse c'era stata un' incomprensione e che forse valeva la pena ascoltare se non noi, almeno il cameriere che gentilmente ci aveva detto che era stato un loro errore. Ma niente da fare, ha ricominciato a sbraitare. A quel punto abbiamo pagato e ce ne siamo andati raggiungendo il nostro collega che era stato allontanato. La cosa che più mi ha lasciato perplesso è un cartello fuori dal locale dove specifica di essere un locale antifascista e antirazzista. Beh, visto l' aggressione subita, farebbe meglio a toglierlo.

28/10/2024: Een wijnbarretje met minimalistische inrichting en zeer klein. Binnen slechts enkele tafeltjes. Gelukkig was het aangenaam weer en konden we buiten plaatsnemen. Ook daar slecht 4 tafeltjes met meubilair waar je geen uren op kunt doorbrengen. Het is een bar waar vooral locals komen. De rode wijn was lekker maar de glazen niet passend bij de kwaliteit van de wijn.

15/01/2025: Cozy place, we stopped for lunch after a visit to Volterra. Friendly and welcoming staff. The menu ranges between meat and fish, carefully prepared and very good dishes, with average prices.

18/03/2025: Abbiamo visto questo posto in gita con la scuola e abbiamo deciso di entrare per fare un pranzo tipico toscano. Il locale è molto accogliente, il personale è gentilissimo e anche simpatico e ottimi sono i piatti. Molto consigliato è il tagliere di salumi! Se ne avremo l’occasione, ritorneremo sicuramente!!

23/02/2025: We went to this restaurant given the positive reviews, we expected a nice place with excellent food… Instead the restaurant was CLOSED! Apparently they decide to close for weeks without even updating the opening hours on Google. Having seen the excellent reviews we decided to go there even though we were not in the area, only to find a surprise. In these times something like this is truly unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that should focus on serving tourists...

13/10/2024: Ultimo giorno di vacanza. Ultima tappa prima di mettersi in strada Volterra, già visitata in passato ma in una brutta giornata. Arrivati quasi a mezzogiorno la fame si è fatta sentire e abbiamo cercato subito un posto che ispirava. Un po’ fuori dal centro, ma neppure tanto, abbiamo letto il menù di questo locale e siamo entrati. Bel posticino tranquillo e pulito, servizio sufficientemente rapido. Una pasta tipica del locale e un piatto di pici e come al solito tagliere di affettati per chiudere. Al posto del vino ovviamente due ottime birrette

13/10/2024: We were welcomed by a very pleasant person. The quality cuisine is homemade. Beer is also brewed in house. The terrace on the Place du XX Septembre is typical and simply makes you want to come back. Don't hesitate if you pass by.

19/02/2025: Walking through Volterra, we decide to stop and eat some truffles and therefore decide to ask for advice on where we can go to eat. They recommended 3 restaurants to us and taking a look on the internet we decided to try this restaurant. Very beautiful and elegant location, even though there were no other customers, we decided to go in and stop for lunch. The chef, a young boy, and the girl in the dining room, made us spend an excellent lunch with very good and well presented food, excellent choice also on the wine list. Equally interesting desserts. Good value for money. I recommend it

12/10/2024: I was there now at the end of September to the beginning of October 2024! The location is very scenic and impressive! From every spot on the property you have a wide view over the typical Tuscan landscape, You can experience the sunrise in the cozy garden and take a refreshing dip in the pool! The holiday homes and apartments are in Tuscan lamb house style, very comfortably furnished and practically equipped! Each apartment has its own small terrace with a table, chairs and loungers! I felt very comfortable there and had a good rest! The owners are very friendly, open to all concerns and suggestions grateful and will fulfill your wishes promptly! The employees were all very friendly and conscientious! I will definitely come here again, for example for the olive harvest, if you have that in your program as planned! I will recommend this idyllic vacation home to my friends Recommend! Thank you for the wonderful time at your property!

26/01/2025: Restaurant in the center of Volterra where we ate a wonderful Florentine steak; the restaurant has 2 very particular and welcoming underground rooms. Very kind staff. We will definitely be back

14/01/2025: We spent New Year's Eve in this place. Top quality food with kind and attentive service. The wine list also features top quality products. Truffle pappardelle with Tuscan ham, salted ricotta and lemon, pici rigati with ragu sauce, a nice Florentine steak for 2 and as dessert tiramisu on a base of cantucci and mascarpone cream with fig jam. All accompanied by an excellent 100% Sangiovese. We licked our chops… See you next time... which won't be missed!!

18/01/2025: The best pizza I've ever eaten!

31/10/2024: Last year, in the same place, we ate the best pizza in Italy and drank many liters of the house red super wine... this year, a big disappointment, and we came to Voltera just for the pizza. The wine tasted very bad, almost not drinkable, and the pizza was a severe disappointment, not even close to last year's gastronomic pleasure. All in all, we don't come anymore!

18/09/2024: Esta fue una cena fantástica en un complejo espectacular en la Toscana. Tuvimos risotto de langoustina y ensalada de jardín para empezar y principal de pato y cochinillo seguido de un postre de frambuesa y avellana. Una deliciosa selección de pan se sirvió en el lado. El servicio fue muy bueno y los alrededores, en el edificio principal del complejo hermoso.

02/09/2024: Immersed in the splendid Tuscan hills, absolute quiet; beautiful landscapes, friendliness and relaxation in the swimming pool. Ps. Several cute little dogs that add value to the place 🤩 I would go back immediately

07/11/2024: Cozy place, with excellent service and very attentive waiters. We tried the eggplant parmigiana which was delicious and pizza. The shame of the pizza is that it had too much oil, which made it a bit greasy. To top it off, millefeuille which was delicious!

01/11/2024: Oggi, primo novembre, città stracolma, arrivati intorno alle 14,15 senza prenotazione. Ci hanno trovato comunque due posti, personale gentilissimo, servizio veloce, personale alla mano che riesce sempre a rispondere con simpatia e cordialità, cosa non semplice quando il locale è pieno ed i ritmi di lavoro frenetici.abbiamo preso soltanto i primi, (per scelta nostra), eccellenti sia i tagliolini al tartufo che le tagliatelle al ragù di chianina. Cinque stelle del tutto meritate.

07/01/2025: I primi molto molto buoni, il vino della casa anche. Baccalà molto buono, so che forse esagero, ma io dò 5/5, anche per la simpatia del locale, ed il prezzo adeguato. Ho visto antipasti niente male sul piatto dei vicini (salumi).
