21/07/2024: Pizza buonissima e particolare per l’impasto differente dal metodo classico e torta di ceci superlativa ( quest’ultima viene preparata solo la sera ed è da prenotare per tempo).Cottura nel forno a legna perfetta. Ormai sono una cliente affezionata per il take away. Consigliatissimo!!!

27/09/2023: We stopped in for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We ate divinely, a hot focaccia with exquisite cured meats, cheese and truffles. Excellent quality. Very clean facilities. Advise!

16/09/2023: The service was very nice and helpful. The cappuccino was one of the best on our trip to Italy and the price was unbeatable. In Florence we paid 4 times as much. A clear recommendation.

25/08/2024: We ended up here by chance and are very happy about it. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and pleasantly unobtrusive. The food was delicious and the wine was good. Thank you for the great hospitality

14/08/2024: We found the place in Volterra a bit by luck, yes, it was full of people and all the tables were occupied... after having dined there, we understand. Very good food, fresh, with a lot of aroma and great taste. The cheese selection is spectacular. The caprese with bufala the same. The variety of crostinis are good. The desserts are all homemade and very good. A super experience highly recommended.

30/08/2024: Magnificent place, welcoming rooms with everything you need... there is no air conditioning but with the breeze there you don't feel the need even on the hottest days. The restaurant is truly worth stopping by to enjoy delicious food, The panorama with splendid sunsets not to mention the welcome, they really make you feel at home HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

30/07/2024: Charming farm house exuding true Tuscan ambience close from Volterra, with stunning views from both the restaurant terrace and the entrance side. Spacious, cozy and comfortable apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. The pool is also wonderful, capacious and perfectly maintained.Luigi is an excellent host, polite and attentive! The restaurant offers typical Tuscan country cuisine, with a great selection of wines, courteous and nice staff, and the restaurant itself meets all expectations. I"ll be back!

08/08/2024: Definitely a beautiful and panoramic place. Unfortunately, we were rudely offered a place in the sun despite the place being empty and with numerous free seats with the excuse that they had to prepare for the evening (it was 4.30pm). With us two small children (1 and 6 years old). It's a shame because the location was really nice.

06/08/2024: Very nice place! With a crazy view! Amazing and plentiful food! A tip for the chef: giving diners a winter menu in the height of summer is not very appropriate! For the staff who run around like crazy they have to pay extra attention to the guests who go unnoticed when they need them.

10/08/2024: Siamo tornati a mangiare qui a distanza di 2 anni, accompagnati dal nostro lagotto, ricordandoci di una piacevolissima serata. I nostri ricordi sono stati superati da un menu ottimo (peposo e pasta ubriaca) e da una selezione di birre artigianali eccezionale (io personalmente sono andato fuori di testa per la stout!!!). Dulcis in fundo, il dessert "manna cotta" era squisito (sempre a tema stout). Ringrazio il personale per averci regalato un'altra serata deliziosa. Spero di poterci tornare presto!

27/07/2024: Delicious beer in very different variations and you can tell that it is brewed here with love and passion. We were given an explanation of each type of beer and just listening to the individual flavors just makes you want to taste the beer. The food was also delicious and nicely presented. All in all a well-rounded experience. We can only recommend this restaurant!

21/08/2024: Genuine and good food and typical dishes, helpful, kind staff who know how to put you at ease. I recommend the Antica Taverna to those who want to delve into the heart of Volterra's culinary tradition.

16/08/2024: Very passive aggressive owner, has rude signs outside, one of them says “vegans should stay away”. Ruins the whole atmosphere and doesn’t make for a nice place.

21/08/2024: We had asked for a table for 4, the answer was that there were only tables for two and that he couldn't join them, incredible. There were free tables and they were close together, but discussing it further is completely useless.

15/08/2024: Characteristic mlt venue within the historic walls of Volterra! Super-stocked and very fresh fish counter, then in addition it offers a catering service with delicious and carefully prepared dishes and with more than honest prices! Really compliments on the food and the staff!

16/08/2024: If you have allergies, intolerances or you want to replace an item on your pizza, you’ll be paying a huge surcharge. Our pizzas ended up costing 21€ and 19€ after we asked to replace cheese and meat with more vegetables, furthermore I can’t eat tomatoes so I didn’t even have sauce on my pizza. These substitutes were seen as extras instead of replacements. I have not experienced this anywhere in Europe, huge disappointment.

16/08/2024: To be on the safe side, we made a reservation and were neatly escorted to our table. Nice location on a beautiful square with a nice atmosphere. The service was good, calm and very attentive (and neatly dressed). As a pre-order we ordered some dishes to share. Very tasteful! The children had one of the homemade pastas (tagliatelle and pappadelle) as a main course, we opted for a tagliata funghi & arugula. You were politely asked how you would like your meat prepared. Everything was very tasty, all plates were empty! As a side dish we had grilled vegetables and baked potatoes. All in all, we had a nice dinner at a nice restaurant with cheerful service. Would definitely come back here again if we are in the area!

14/08/2024: We stayed in Borgo Tignano on the second weekend of this torrid month of August and it was a very pleasant discovery for us. The location is enchanting, surrounded by nature: an oasis of timeless peace and tranquility, but just a few dozen kilometers from Volterra and San Gimignano. The delightful and very well-kept apartment is tastefully furnished. The landlady and all the staff were very kind and always available. The excellent breakfast served on the restaurant terrace, in front of a breathtaking view. Furthermore, and this is no small feat, we were also able to bring our dog with us, given that pets are welcome in Borgo Tignano. In short, the weekend in Borgo Tignano was truly splendid for us and we hope to repeat this short but beautiful experience soon.
