04/10/2025: It was a very nice stay. Our little dog ran around with the other dogs, alongside goats, a cat, and a peacock. The apartment was nicely furnished. The surroundings were beautiful, with a magnificent view. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely stop by again.

02/11/2025: Between Volterra and San Gimignano lies Locanda il Boschetto, where we spent a weekend with a couple of friends. The hospitality was superb, the rooms comfortable and spotless, the staff were kind and friendly. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant to fully enjoy the authentic, quality food. Samanta welcomed us warmly, making us feel at home right away, and recommended dishes to try. Cycling enthusiasts will also have the pleasure of meeting Dario, a renowned former professional and a truly helpful person (even offering an autograph with a special dedication for my uncle Valmy). If you want to get away from the city and spend a weekend relaxing and enjoying good food, I can't recommend Locanda il Boschetto enough. And I almost forgot to mention the super welcome for our four-legged friends! Thank you, Dario and Samanta, for the passion you put into what you do, which I assure you touches your heart. See you soon, Valentino.

10/10/2025: Delicious food in a French setting. A small restaurant in a mountain village. Combine this with a hike. Be careful of private roads.

24/09/2025: We've already traveled a bit in Tuscany, and Trattoria Albana is truly an insider tip. The food was fantastic, and the service was fast and very friendly. We shared the pici with cheese and pepper sauce and the veal ragout, and both were perfect. The ragout, in particular, was as tender as butter and practically fell apart just by looking at it 🤤 We were very full, and the really reasonable price rounded off the evening perfectly. According to the waiter, almost all of the ingredients are grown in the restaurant's garden! It doesn't get much better than that!

27/10/2025: A typical Tuscan restaurant in the historic center of Volterra. Very courteous and helpful (and friendly) staff. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, including local specialties with unique recipes (I recommend the truffle-based pasta dishes and the sweet and spicy wild boar). Excellent wine selection. The price is absolutely in line with the quality of the food and service. They even welcomed our large dog, bringing a bowl of water. Extremely satisfied. Highly recommended.

07/10/2025: A very pleasant restaurant with traditional, high-quality Tuscan specialties. We were there for lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were always happy to give advice. The atmosphere is clean, authentic, and traditional, just like the food. We had the ham and melon as a starter. The melon tasted fresh even in October, and the ham wasn't too salty, yet it still had a great flavor and was very tender. The Caprese salad had a truly fresh taste. The pappardelle al cinghiale (wild boar) was fantastically delicious. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant. Very friendly service, very good food, a lovely atmosphere, and the price was perfectly reasonable.

31/10/2025: We had coffee and breakfast here every morning. We had a drink every evening. They even sell Unicum. Krisztina, the lady serving, is very nice and attentive. Mainly locals come here. Family atmosphere.

30/10/2025: The position of this restaurant first drew us to it as we wandered around the town. It is stunningly positioned on the ramparts with views to the distant hills and even the sea. Between lunch and dinner it acts as a bar - and there aren't many better places to have a drink. The menu looked interesting, so we came back in the evening and caught a stunning sunset. We also had some excellent food: four different ages of pecorino with local honey and pepper dip, wild boar stew and Tuscan beef washed down with local red wine, all delicious. The service was friendly and relaxed. Highly recommended.

12/09/2025: Highly not recommended... I sent back the first two pizzas because they were too salty, probably the dough. I reordered two more pizzas: they were equally salty. To avoid a pointless argument, I left paying €53 for four pizzas and two drinks. The chef was very rude.

10/10/2025: Wauw this place is incredible. I love how the rooms are, very colorful! Also there is a big swimming pool and you are surrounded by the beautiful nature of Tuscany. The views are amazing. Very sweet people and good food! Would definitely recommend this place! Will come back next year!

30/10/2025: Truly Exceptional – Warm People, Beautiful Setting, and the Best Lasagna I’ve Ever Had We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Ristorante Etruria in Volterra. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness. They immediately brought out a bowl of water for our French bulldog, Luigi, and treated him as if he were their own. It set the tone for what turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Italy. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful inside – classic Tuscan charm with elegant stone arches, warm lighting, and tasteful décor that feels both refined and welcoming. You can tell it’s a place that takes pride in its history and hospitality. I ordered the lasagna, and it was simply perfect — rich, delicate layers, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. Honestly, it was as good as the best I’ve ever had anywhere in my life. My wife had the tagliatelle al ragù, and it was every bit a 10 out of 10 — silky fresh pasta, a sauce bursting with depth and authenticity. The service was exceptional throughout — attentive without being intrusive, and filled with genuine smiles. What made it even more special was that the owner personally followed us out as we were leaving to thank us after we told him how much we loved the meal. That kind of heartfelt appreciation is rare and unforgettable. Everything — from the food and wine to the atmosphere and hospitality — was pure Tuscany at its finest. If you find yourself in Volterra, do yourself a favor and make this your meal stop. You’ll leave full, happy, and feeling like family.

11/11/2025: I came back for the second time and I confirm the choice good pizzas first courses and second courses with a lot of choice I recommend the pici cacio e pepe and the tagliatelle with wild boar
