19/07/2025: Ideale per una pausa prima o dopo la visita a Volterra locale tranquillo con una vista bellissima da qualsiasi tavolo, cucina tipica e parcheggio comodo. Siamo stati qui un sabato a pranzo l antipasto della casa e abbondante crostini ottimi. I ravioli al pomodoro sublimi. Posto incantevole

28/06/2025: La comida era excelente, la vista era magnífica, la factura era razonable, ... e incluso la música de fondo era buena (jazzy suave). ¡Una experiencia verdaderamente memorable!

06/06/2025: Mein Lieblingsrestaurant seit 1981 - mit 5 war ich zum ersten Mal in der damals ganz neuen Trattoria, die sich im Laufe der Jahre zu einem hervorragenden Restaurant mit lokaler Küche entwickelt hat. Es gibt keine „Spielereien“ sondern das pure Geschmackserlebnis aus besten lokalen Zutaten. Und alles hält die wunderbare Irma zusammen. Der gute Geist und die umsichtige Chefin.

09/08/2025: In a typically tourist-trap location, this turned out to be a surprising place. Reasonable prices for excellent quality. Excellent service, though it's a shame the POS isn't working.

09/08/2025: Highly recommended. The food is elaborate and delicious. The waiters' treatment and service were perfect. They gave us advice without trying to pay the most. They were kind enough to us at the end of the evening. We would definitely come back. Thank you for the service.

The location is perfect: just steps from the historic center of Volterra, yet nestled in a tranquil setting with a splendid view of the Tuscan hills. The property has an authentic charm, with spaces that retain the typical atmosphere of a Tuscan villa. The rooms are comfortable and clean, some with truly breathtaking panoramic views. A highlight is definitely the pool, surrounded by greenery and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, always ready to welcome you with a smile and offer helpful advice to make the most of your stay. In short, Villa Nencini is the ideal place for those seeking authenticity and relaxation, all just steps from the wonders of Volterra. I will definitely be back!

09/08/2025: A lovely hotel for relaxing. About a 5-minute walk to the center of Volterra. We booked with breakfast included. Breakfast was okay, but the service left something to be desired. Nevertheless, we can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience.

28/08/2025: The worst carbonara we've ever had was simply pasta with scrambled eggs. All the dishes were bland, completely unseasoned, and tasteless. Only the pizza was good, the only dish worth recommending. The service was very average; I wouldn't recommend it.

22/08/2025: We stayed in Volterra for a day, we had dinner in this place with a welcoming atmosphere, excellent food and pizza, fast and very kind and friendly owner.

06/08/2025: We had delicious pizzas. A nice thin crust, not greasy, really delicious! We paid €30 for two large pizzas and two drinks, so it was very affordable. The staff is also very friendly, and the view from the terrace is breathtaking.

14/08/2025: We had risotto with zucchini flowers and pistachios, tagliatelle with duck, and chitarrini with ragù. Everything was delicious, and the staff were friendly.

10/08/2025: This restaurant has two entrances, one facing the Roman theater and one in the historic center. Traditional cuisine, including delicious chicken liver crostini and the earthenware ragù. The pistachio risotto is truly excellent, and the spaghetti alla chitarra and tagliatelle with duck ragù (perhaps a bit bland) are also very good. Excellent tiramisu. The price is reasonable.

12/07/2025: I didn't really like the pizza, but I did like the rest... the meatballs and frese were delicious! 5 stars to the young waiter who arrived whatever I asked for in a flash! (For example, water for the dog or help warming the bottle!) The terrace was beautiful.

20/08/2025: They made us spend 15 euros to stay in the outdoor pool, and that's fine, but the pool was dirty and unkept, with a broken floor! We then stayed to eat... inedible pici, but even though I pointed out that they were full of pepper, they didn't even ask if I wanted anything else, or they didn't apply a discount since I didn't eat.

Today I took my parents to this wonderful place, which I had the opportunity to discover some time ago. The day was authentic and enjoyable from the start. We took a relaxing dip in the pool overlooking the golden hills of our beloved Tuscany: a breathtaking sight, where time seems to stand still and everything finds its perfect rhythm. Then, as often happens in summer, a sudden storm surprised us right at lunchtime. But it was a perfect moment: sheltered under the loggia, with the rain gently beating on the roof, we enjoyed delicious traditional Tuscan dishes, prepared with care and passion. The smiles, the peace, the authentic flavors. Il Palagetto is truly a special place. A corner of Tuscany that will stay in your heart, where nature and soul meet... and rediscover each other.

18/08/2025: Excellent, generously portioned pizzas. The manager doesn't push you to buy anything, which is truly rare and relaxing. I recommend the pizza fritta, which we don't know much about in France: a real treat! Thanks to the chef for this very enjoyable experience.
