18/07/2025: Posto molto caratteristico, cucina tipica toscana e soprattutto Volterrana Ottima e personale super gentile e familiare. Vasta scelta di ottimi vini. Ottima anche la qualità-prezzo! Se saremo di nuovo di passaggio a Volterra, torneremo sicuramente!

09/11/2025: A nice little pizzeria. The service was friendly and quick. The pizza crust was crispy and the base thin, just as it should be ☺️. The toilet is a real gem 😅. We would definitely eat there again. What we really appreciated: Our dog was immediately given water without us even asking 🫶

01/11/2025: We only wanted a quick drink because of the rain, but when we saw the pizzas on the neighboring tables, we tried them ourselves. We ordered 4 different pizzas, which were very tasty and juicy, which was not possible in other restaurants two days earlier. The friendly waiter also offered us a typical appetizer, which we of course accepted and it was excellent. If you want a quick, good pizza and a wonderful old-fashioned homely atmosphere, the inn is the right choice.

05/11/2025: Lovely place with truly beautiful views of the bay and attentive service. I had their vegetarian tasting menu. The canapés were my favourite, other dishes were ok but I would not go back for it again.

08/10/2025: The dinner i had. Me and my partner had amazing evening, every thing was just on the spot. The vibe and atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, the stuff are amazing people they are very nice and caring. But the food, Wow the food is just on another level , every taste were mind blowing. Each course were done with a lot of thought and love and skill. The lemon pre dessert just gave me shivers.

19/10/2025: The service was great, the food was excellent, only a pity that there is no tomato sauce served on the pizza, otherwise it was very cozy with nice music

22/02/2026: After a day of walking through one of the medieval villages, in my opinion the most beautiful, Volterra, we stopped for dinner, and among the many places that Volterra offers, we chose, UN SACCO GOLOSO, with a traditional menu, the well-kept place, with tables also outside, but we preferred to eat inside, also given the temperature outside. We had gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle, pici cacio e pepe, and pappardelle with wild boar sauce, accompanied by fried potatoes and water. We ate the potatoes, while we waited for the first courses to be brought to us, the wait was not long, just the time to cook the pasta and bring it to the tables. Everything was very good, the scent of truffle in addition to the flavor was delicious, not to mention the pici cacio pepe, tasty and well peeled, and to finish the tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, all the plates were cleaned and mopped up with bread. Everything was very delicious.

16/12/2025: Excellent truffle pasta dishes, friendly waitress who spoke French to us, as did the owner, quiet location and breathtaking view just a few meters away. Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfect! Grazie mille!

03/10/2025: Fantastic pizza! Worth a visit. I went back yesterday after six years. The pizza is still delicious. We also tried the carbonara, which was amazing. The house white wine was perfect. Very friendly service. When in Volterra, be sure to stop by for a bite to eat :)

03/09/2025: From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once inside, it more than makes up for it. The pizza was very tasty, but the seafood spaghetti was worth a solid 10 stars. "Grandma" is a very good and flavorful cook. So, I'll go there again to try out the rest. I'm already looking forward to it.

27/12/2025: An excellent option for celiacs near the station, with practically the entire menu available gluten-free. Their specialty is carbonara, which can be ordered in various variations.

05/03/2026: Bad, maybe a bad night... We weren't satisfied with the food. The first course was nothing special, well cooked but decidedly flavorless. The meat was bad, very bad, fatty cuts, flavorless, and overcooked. The desserts followed the same progression as the other two courses.

21/01/2026: Unique location, below street level. Very good first and second courses (the duck ragù is better than the classic Tuscan ragù). Very friendly and helpful staff. You can also visit the 1st-century BC Roman cistern, which is inside the restaurant. Average Volterra prices: we took advantage of a discount with The Fork.

25/08/2025: It's rare for me to leave super-positive reviews, but Bettola has a lovely atmosphere, good pizza, and a professional waiter. We'll always be happy to return.

12/07/2025: I didn't really like the pizza, but I did like the rest... the meatballs and frese were delicious! 5 stars to the young waiter who arrived whatever I asked for in a flash! (For example, water for the dog or help warming the bottle!) The terrace was beautiful.

22/11/2025: The location is fantastic, as are the à la carte meals and breakfast. The only downside is that they don't offer any activities. They did offer us a wine tasting, but it was at a venue about 40 minutes away by car. Considering you're just there to relax, it's great and has fantastic views.

13/10/2025: Excellent cuisine!!! The veal tongue and smoked swordfish appetizers are incredibly delicious. Followed by one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten... The view from the terrace over the rooftops of Volterra is magnificent. Highly recommended!👍👍👍

05/10/2025: 3 very successful experiences in this bistro (at different times). Beyond the superb view outside (panoramic terrace), the atmosphere is very pleasant. The service is fast (even in the middle of August) and the staff friendly. We ate very well each time and the prices are reasonable for this very touristy village. We will return with great pleasure the next time we are in Volterra.

04/11/2025: I moved here for a refresher course and recently returned to Madrid. I found the cafeteria food excellent, as well as the service from the friendly and smiling staff, who were patient and kind enough to serve me even though it was late. The cafeteria is a pleasant place with a wide selection of savory and sweet dishes, and almost all the staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing that often slowed us down was one particular person who wouldn't stop talking to others, slowing down their work. Overall, it's a place with excellent food and is very convenient.

13/08/2025: I didn't actually eat dinner, but I ordered 15 servings of baked pasta (lasagna) for a dinner at our farmhouse with friends. As always, the food was delicious. The kitchen staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
