04/11/2023: L'Ombra della Sera is certainly one of the best restaurants in Volterra and the surrounding area. I have been going there for 13 years and I guarantee you that it is worth it. The cuisine is traditional, with a touch of creativity. The dishes are well executed and presented with care. Truffle lovers, like myself, will find satisfaction with the excellent tagliolini with white or black truffle, the exquisite potato and truffle cream and many other proposals. There is obviously no shortage of mushrooms in season. On my last visit, for example, I enjoyed a remarkable salad of fresh porcini mushrooms. The experience is completed by an attentive welcome without ever being cold and an always honest bill in terms of quality and price. Definitely recommended address.

26/03/2024: apart from the biblical delivery time of the food, a big problem is that they presented us with an overall bill for the table, even though we had asked to pay each person for themselves, given the large differences in price for each one. and even though we asked for it, they didn't give us the receipt.

07/01/2024: Trovato girando per le vie del centro, erano le 15, abbiamo aspettato un quarto d'ora e ci ha fatto sedere. Tempi di servizio un po lunghi però il cibo molto buono. I primi buonissimi, in particolare la cacio e pepe con il tartufo e le pappardelle al cinghiale. La polenta e i dolci standard.

07/01/2024: Tutto talmente buono da volerci tornare anche il giorno seguente per provare nuove pietanze, menzione speciale per le tartare e la pasta fatta in casa, davvero buona. Personale cordiale e simpatico, locale molto carino, prezzi nella norma.

01/04/2024: The structure is characteristic, very convenient for walking around Volterra. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was a bit chaotic (there weren't enough tables for everyone and some things were finished) but the lounge was really beautiful, like a historic building. The room has only one French window so either you are in the dark or they see you inside as it is on the ground floor.

26/03/2024: Beautiful facility and friendly service. The bathroom to forget. Shower with curtain and toilet. Spacious bed, nice but insufficient wardrobe.

30/12/2023: Il ristorante si trova un po' fuori rispetto al centro storico. Abbiamo mangiato un primo e un secondo molto buoni. Personale gentile e disponibile. Il prezzo mi è sembrato un po' alto (€15,00 per il primo, €20,00/23,00 per il secondo ) ma sulla presentazione dei piatti e sulla qualità del cibo nulla da dire.

04/02/2024: Una sorpresa inaspettata. Un tagliere delizioso, ricco e di ottima qualità. Lara la responsabile che ci ha servito è stata estremamente disponibile e anche i prodotti della bottega sono davvero tanti. Lascia un gran bel ricordo di Volterra.

24/02/2024: 2 tortini di funghi porcini con fonduta di pecorino. Arrivati due tortini palesemente scongelati nel microonde in quanto presentavano acquarella da dcongelamento e la fonduta in realtà era una poltriglia gialla non cremosa. 2 cacio e pepe pasta commerciale sugo nella norma. 1 caffè 69 euro. Siamo in centro a Volterra e va bene 69 euro potevano essere pure giusti ma se si vuole essere di livello anche i prodotti devono esserlo. Freschi e di qualità e non come quelli offerti. Unica cosa di qualità il cameriere, elegante garbato e gentilissimo

03/02/2024: I tre punti vengono dati perché nelle pietanze scelte da me si sentono troppo le spezie specialmente il rosmarino...questo forte sapore non ti fa gustare la tagliata che era morbidissima e le pappardelle al cinghiale....però penso di tornare perché il posto è tranquillo e mi piace.

24/02/2024: Locale caratteristico in pieno centro storico . Cibo toscano di qualità , buone le verdure in tempura , i salumi , il cinghiale . Ho assaggiato anche gnocchetti con zafferano e olive tritate , molto delicato come gusto . Nell’insieme tutto bene , ci tornerei !
