Excellent! Food and service both exquisite! We stayed in Volterra over the weekend and had lunch inside this restaurant in a small cave, truly suggestive. An experience you absolutely must try!

We had lunch here while visiting Volterra and it was a really good bet. We had a pasta dish and one stake and both of them were cooked perfectly. In 10 days visiting Tuscany and having pasta every day, this one is in my top 3. Delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and the service very friendly. We recommend this place!

The very characteristic place is practically like eating in a cellar, but very nice, kind and friendly staff, very good wine also by the glass... we had really good appetizers pici.. so in this way I would avoid the writings outside that do not concern the place

Having come across it by chance, I was left speechless when I saw the Romanesque location, all with stone vaults. Super kind and good waitress, top Florentine. The only "flaw" is that the Florentine steak was not shown to us first to understand the quantity of meat as they do in other restaurants. In any case, congratulations on everything!

Very nice and quiet place located in a kind of underground. Excellent food, but above all it is the waitress' service that gives that extra touch to the place.

We had dinner here the night before New Year's Eve. The restaurant is incredibly beautiful, very intimate and characteristic. The food exceeded all expectations, a menu full of typical but not obvious dishes and excellent quality. The real gem was the staff, friendly, nice and super helpful, kindness was the watchword. The price is in accordance with the place and what it offers. When we return to Volterra it will be an obligatory stop!

Io e altri tre amici abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno a Volterra. Il giorno della partenza abbiamo deciso di pranzare in questo ristorante. All'ingresso ci accoglie un grosso cartello "VEGANO STAMMI LONTANO". Piccola premessa: nonostante io sia vegana, abbiamo deciso di andarci comunque. Ormai in qualunque ristorante - più o meno - si trovano piatti senza animali o derivati, tanto che non ho nemmeno necessità di specificarlo. L'ambiente è molto suggestivo e il personale gentile, in particolare la cameriera che ci ha serviti è stata particolarmente premurosa e attenta nei nostri confronti. In generale, abbiamo tutti mangiato molto bene e, nonostante il ristorante fosse abbastanza pieno, abbiamo atteso il giusto tra una portata e l'altra. Vorrei fare però una piccola precisazione. Nonostante i proprietari abbiano deciso di esporre la loro dichiarazione di intenti all'ingresso del ristorante, specifico che hanno comunque delle ottime alternative senza animali o derivati e probabilmente nemmeno lo sanno. Non c'è, in questo caso, chissà quale scelta, ma si può mangiare molto tranquillamente. "Vegano" viene da sempre associato a qualcosa di strano, quasi a una setta, e a cibo come soya, tofu e seitan. Come se vivessimo di aria, soya e verdure selvatiche. Mi spiace ma non è così e voi, inconsapevolmente, ne siete la prova. Inoltre, la storia culinaria italiana ci mostra come tantissimi piatti tipici sia nazionali che regionali siano, NATURALMENTE e TRADIZIONALMENTE, privi di animali e derivati, ossia VEGANI. Parlo a voi, proprietari, informatevi almeno su cosa significhi "vegano" perchè avete già, all'interno del vostro menù, delle SCELTE INCLUSIVE PER TUTTI. Il cartello all'ingresso, se per voi è goliardico (e voglio dare il beneficio del dubbio e pensare che sia stato appeso con questo spirito...), per altri, compresi i miei amici che mangiano carne e ne sono estimatori, è stato trovato di dubbio gusto e potrebbe allontanare una fetta di clienti che, in realtà, potrebbe assolutamente mangiare da voi senza fare alcun tipo di richiesta aggiuntiva o modifica ai piatti già presenti, in altre parole, senza che nemmeno ve ne accorgiate. E indovinate... Così è stato. Un caro saluto, e spero che possiate esplorare ancora più la varietà di cibi che questo pianeta ci può offrire, senza crudeltà e sfruttamento alcuno.

Abbiamo provato questo ristorante domenica a pranzo in 6 persone senza prenotare, è stato eccezionale, ristorante molto caratteristico ben curato, ottimo cibo tipico toscano, proprietario e staff molto cortesi e simpatici. Super consigliato!!!
