02/11/2025: Years ago, we had a wonderful meal here in the garden. It was a fond memory, so we quickly returned. Definitely no regrets. A lovely, spacious table in front of the kitchen. The restaurant was pleasantly packed with lots of Italians. We're going for the 9-course menu again. Everything was delicious: tomato granita with mozzarella, bacalha on toast, etc. A good wine list. Very friendly staff. Fantastic! I would definitely go back.

15/09/2025: With a little difficulty my husband and I managed to find the ice cream shop, where the production aspect prevails over the retail one, a really kind person welcomed us and, knowing that it was the first time we had eaten the famous Versilia dessert, now Aurelio dessert offered it to us for free.

10/08/2025: We visited the lab in Bozzano and bought a mixed box of 18 gelatos, which were fabulous, with a delicate and unique flavor. The staff were very friendly and explained the history of how this gelato was created. The prices were very reasonable, and we'll definitely be back.

11/10/2025: In short, I have to say that the food here is very good. The first courses in particular are very good, the meats excellent, and the desserts very delicate. If we add that the location is beautiful, the service is fast, and the staff very friendly, I can only conclude by saying, "I highly recommend it."

You eat divinely and in abundance...you spend a fortune...there's a friendly atmosphere with everyone at the table...super friendly and helpful staff...wonderful place, each room different and rich in history... Historic wines, delicious meats, local produce... What can I say? Try it and believe it... Highly recommended!!!

03/12/2025: the food was very good and the atmosphere was very welcoming, it was a shame that with the second order we had to wait 30 to 40 minutes for something to arrive, but for the rest I would definitely go back

14/11/2025: The coffee is average, but Samuele's aperitivo is where he really excels. The sbagliato is spot on, and the pizzas are very good. As for the restaurant, I'll give it a review when I get there. Good ones anyway.

15/08/2025: We've been coming to this place for many years. It's a historic pizza spot in Lucca. A family atmosphere welcomes customers and makes them feel at home. The pizza is excellent; I love Calogero's pita bread, which I think is the best. They also have a good selection of beers and desserts; the croccantino is a classic. The place also offers outdoor seating under a pergola overlooking a fully enclosed and well-kept garden, where children can play safely in a small playground.

04/11/2025: Excellent coffee, a place steeped in history, with kind and friendly staff. The café often focuses on art, with excellent exhibitions, and the owner is an artist.

12/10/2025: 12/10/25 It was nice to sit down at 1:15 PM and wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... The first courses, which finally arrived at 2:40 PM. And then wait... Wait... And finally, at 3:17 PM, the first of the second courses arrived... Not all of them; only one of the two cuts arrived. Perhaps the other will arrive with the other second courses. It did arrive, but they just told us that some of the items we ordered were missing. AT 3:25 PM!! And the second waiter got annoyed at our complaints. It seemed like he'd just dropped by and was out walking around. A TOTALLY NEGATIVE experience.

01/12/2025: I've been coming to these parts for years, often bringing large groups, and I know the area and the surrounding countryside well. Regardless of the embarrassing signs mocking "do-it-yourself tourists," as if not consuming food in the refuge means being a bad tourist; regardless of the listless, rude, and slow management; regardless of the horrifying, neglected, and poorly maintained atmosphere of both the refuge and its surroundings; and regardless of the complete lack of respect for customers I've seen in so many places, the truth is different. As I set off in the car, I come across a flock of sheep. I slow down, and a few sheep stop in front of me. After a while, I decide to honk my horn three or four times to get them to move. Since I often visit the mountains of Abruzzo, Molise, Marche (the real ones, certainly not the Matanna), and other parts of the world teeming with flocks and shepherds, it's quite normal in those parts to do so when a sheep stops moving. Fifty meters later, with a Suzuki Jimmy waiting for me, the shepherdess started yelling at me, drooling like crazy to slow down (I was doing 5 km/h), screaming for me to take my license plate number (for who knows what), and inferring that there was some phantom law that forbids honking while driving sheep above 1,000 meters (we were at 950 meters, but whatever...). Realizing that twenty drops of Tavor would have been better than a reprimand, I decided to let it go and agree with her, even apologizing, even though her arrogance and aggression deserved much better. The icing on the cake was her throwing me out as if I were just another ignorant and disrespectful tourist, me, who works between the Apennines and the Apuan Alps, transporting dozens of people every weekend, bringing customers and money to the facilities, restaurants, and refuges. I know you're used to owning entire mountains (as long as you don't destroy them for marble), but nothing will ever give you the right to feel like their sole, undisputed owners. The EVIL of the mountains is people like you!

24/11/2025: A magnificent place! It was disturbing, however, to see a small domesticated deer... If they're male, once they grow up they become extremely dangerous because they treat humans as male competitors and can kill. I'm speaking of a sad experience.
