07/09/2025: A little paradise A very warm welcome from the owners (Gina and Sebastiano), who are adorable, as is the person who served us at table. All the products served come from the estate, which Mr. Sebastiano was kind enough to show us around (we wanted to go for a little jog), and all the food is homemade and delicious. The setting is charming. The room is very pretty and spotless. 100% recommended.

21/10/2025: I stopped by this place early in the morning as I was passing by... The meat was good, the owner was friendly, the price was reasonable, and the taste was truly delicious. It was the best food I've ever had in Sicily. I got some to go, but I'll have to try it in the restaurant.

25/12/2025: Terrible breakfast, little choice, food of poor quality, not at all fresh, typical of a two-star hotel, friendly but unprofessional staff. Neglected outdoor spaces. Villa Politi, a historic hotel, a flagship of Syracuse from the 80s, is now in decline, a great shame.

14/12/2025: A beautiful and historic hotel just a short walk away from the shoreline (highly recommend taking advantage of the park/plaza nearby - the ocean views are stunning!). There’s a grandiose sort of feeling as you approach the building, walking up the marble staircase and into the lobby, which opens up into a large sitting room before it sections off into elevators and smaller hallways. We were here in early December and the hotel had started to decorate for the holidays, which added to the cozy feeling. Rooms are modest but tastefully and minimally furnished. The shower stall in my room was quite small and certainly not accommodating to those who will be larger or taller or perhaps even claustrophobic. I comically told my friends it was barely big enough to do a full turn in the shower. There is no shelving in the shower - not ideal and an area of improvement for the hotel to consider. Surrounding noise from the hallways and any rooms next door/nearby is a sizable nuisance as there’s next to zero sound proofing. Despite the beautiful ambiance of the Grand Hotel Villa Politi, the 2 biggest areas of critique are food related. There is only one restaurant nearby (small cafe/coffee shop of sorts). No shops, no other food options available. The breakfast offering at the hotel is significantly lacking. It is literally 90% carb loaded (room temperature breads, sweets, rolls). So if you like your breads, you’ll be delighted with the enormous array of carbs. The 2 hot food items (eggs, ham) were not adequately sized to feed a large tour group. It was 2 small trays that kept running out because people were waiting and then quickly depleting whatever was put out. I simply gave up trying to get a hot breakfast. If you know you’re going to have 50+ people dining at breakfast, have enough staff and food to feed that amount of people. The hot entrees set out were **barely** enough to feed 10. Doesn’t make for a pleasant start to the day when you’re waiting for hot food, never receive hot food and the only other majority option is carbs. Hence only 3 star rating from me.

11/01/2026: The restaurant offers an aperitif menu with three options: two burgers of your choice from the daily selection, each with 100g of meat, and a Spritz or beer; a burger and two soft drinks; or a mixed fried food and a soft drink. There's also a children's menu. There's also a good selection of craft beers. The restaurant is decorated with posters and murals inspired by rock bands; naturally, the music plays along with that style. The restrooms are clean and tidy. There are a few tables inside and others on the outdoor terrace. Satispay is accepted as a payment method.

10/01/2026: 👎🏻 CONDEMNATION The food isn't in line with the quality-price ratio. The meat is certainly good quality but completely tasteless. The bread is soggy, and the combination of ingredients creates confusion on the palate. The service is good, even if young and inexperienced. The atmosphere doesn't exactly convey a sense of order.

12/10/2025: I happened to be in Rosolini and decided to have dinner at this place. The food was delicious; I had a tartare and a really good carpaccio. The drinks were also top-notch, with a selection of over 50 gins, explained thoroughly by the excellent staff.

23/12/2025: Beautiful, spacious, but somewhat dated property. Overall charming and a pleasant atmosphere with great staff, but the rooms are a bit older, the refrigerator is quite noisy, the water takes a long time to heat up, and the doors stick a little. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

17/10/2025: A beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by well-kept greenery. If you're looking to relax, this is the right place. The pool is large, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. The only flaw is the accommodation. We never found anything in the kitchen except two cups, even though there were three of us. The dinnerware rental cost €8 per day. Not even a glass or a piece of cutlery other than two teaspoons were provided. It's a shame, because otherwise it would have been a perfect stay.
