Elegant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent food. Definitely worth returning. N.B.: They'll soon be changing their name from "Perle d'Ortigia" to "Osteria Illuminata," but the chef will remain the same. Highly recommended.

A simply unforgettable dinner in the heart of Ortigia! We started with a breathtaking appetizer: a fresh, flavorful, and top-quality tuna tartare, which immediately raised the bar. Then came the fried fish: crispy, light, perfectly executed, and accompanied by a truly amazing sauce. But the real spectacle came with the first courses: the shrimp and pistachio spaghetti was an explosion of flavor with every bite—sea and land came together in an embrace that was almost touching. And then... the sea urchin carbonara. Words are insane. A dish worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, a unique and perfectly balanced combination that deserves every possible applause. The staff? Simply exceptional. The chef deserves an award, and the chef's wife was exceptionally kind, always with a sincere and welcoming smile. We left the restaurant so satisfied that we wanted to take up residence nearby, just to return more often. An experience that goes far beyond just eating: here, you can experience a passion for cooking. Highly recommended!

We had the great pleasure of dining here back in May. It was a very quiet evening in the restaurant and we were treated so kindly by the owners and staff. My husband raved and raved about the bread….. made in house by the owner/chef. The olive oil came from relatives of the family. All very very good. If we ever have the good fortune to visit Ortigia again, we will be back.

Encantador, de hecho. Sencilla y asequible deliciosa cena. Solo abierto un año, pero se nota que el chef tiene un excelente CV. La lubina con costra de pistachos solo se cocinó bien, no se secó. y el Spaghetti alla siracusana con Alici, capperi, pinoli, uvetta e finocchietto selvatico era excepcional. El aceite de oliva de la casa era suave, y el pan era el mejor que he tenido en Italia (no una meca para el pan en absoluto) Propietarios muy agradable, frente a la casa es Viviana, muy encantador y excelente inglés, (me ayuda mucho). Carta de vinos clara y comprensible y a un precio justo. Final Canolo fue muy bueno!
