26/08/2025: Overall, the focaccia was good, but not one of the best in Messina. I don't feel like giving it a negative review, but I wouldn't particularly recommend it either.

24/08/2025: I'm from Messina and I love focaccia!! Inspired by some positive reviews, I wanted to try it, and unfortunately, the experience wasn't great! The place isn't anything special: old-fashioned, small, and with no seating inside; only three tables on the sidewalk... so I'd say it's a takeout-only option. The focaccia: the real problem isn't the ingredients, which could be good, but the fact that the focaccia is already all ready on the counter, like in a pizza place... it's placed on baking sheets and kept warm. When the customer arrives and chooses the weight/quantity and type of focaccia, the man cuts the various slices, weighs them, and then puts them in the electric oven behind him for a few minutes; This double or triple baking causes the bottom of the focaccia, and therefore the dough, to become dry and parched, losing all the fragrance and flavor of the true traditional Messina focaccia. Luckily (and the owner will be aware of this) at the end of baking, before wrapping your focaccia, they brush it with oil from a small saucepan, just to soften that dry feeling in the dough... but it doesn't work miracles.

23/08/2025: Here's the deal. 7:00 PM. We arrive and find a tall waiter who, without offense, we could describe as apathetic and expressionless. We ask: can we sit down for a drink? He looks around and points to a table: in a moment his colleague cleans the table. Maybe we should also pass her a cloth because there was something spilled on the table.... Beyond him are two other girls, one with her arms folded and the other—well, not even those. I imagine the owner is happy to pay them for this. We wait, then wait some more, then leave. And at the lido next door, two proseccos served by the sea in three minutes and lots of smiles. Terrible service is an understatement. Not recommended.

22/08/2025: The place is worth it, it is definitely worth a visit, staying there gives you the impression of being in a magical place immersed in canals and boats, even if some areas are a bit shabby.

25/09/2025: Never again!!! I paid for 4 trays of mixed pizzas (including a Margherita) + 1/2 tray + 15 supplì, total €129!!! An incredible rip-off!!!! Considering that the Margherita tray + 4 supplì are on sale for €20, how much did he charge me for the rest? It's my fault for making a fuss, but when you're with other people, you prefer to leave it alone. Anyway, never again!!! P.S. He didn't even offer a bottle of water for the money...

09/07/2025: Excellent pizza by the slice. Very friendly staff.

05/09/2025: We found ourselves there by chance. We were starving when we got off the ferry, so we simply ordered some hot food, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is clean, and the staff are very friendly. They also serve first and second courses, and we noticed a lot of people were ordering those, so everything is sure to be delicious. If we return to the area, it will definitely be a stop for us. Recommended.

24/08/2025: Excellent cafe and snack bar We were passing through and had a snack before boarding. Everything was excellent, unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any more photos because the family members wolfed it all down. We had caponata, arancini, lasagna, and a plate of octopus, potatoes, and green beans, which was very good and fresh. I recommend it if you're looking for a cafe on a Sunday.

01/08/2025: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo in questo ristorante, su una bella terrazza con vista mare. Abbiamo mangiato pane cunzato, frittura mista, spiedini di pesce spada. Buon cibo, piatti tipici, servizio veloce e prezzi adeguati.

01/09/2025: I'd visited this bar in the past, and coffee was only €1, and the atmosphere was pleasant. But on my last visit, I discovered it's now €1.50 per table.

14/08/2025: The good: It's always open and available. Young Cristian provides excellent service. The bad: The menu is extremely limited, the atmosphere is awful, and the place is full of rude people. The location is nice, but I don't like seeing employees mistreated.

29/10/2025: Excellent pastry shop, good and tasty ice creams, I'm also satisfied with the good pastries accompanied by the delicious cakes, the friendliness of the staff makes it excellent, I loved the numerous croissants for their true goodness, for my excellent breakfast that accompanies me every morning. If you find yourself passing by Viale Annunziata, stop by and sit down to enjoy the excellent coffee with a good croissant, as well as taking home the delicious pastries.

19/10/2025: I got a black and white for my mother, and it was inedible. The cream puff was hard and tasted awful, extremely sweet but without any kind of flavor. It ended up in the trash, along with the money I spent. Plus, the prices are like those of a good pastry shop! Never again.

30/09/2025: We launched our Sicilian breakfast right here. Excellent granita and brioche, exquisite hospitality, and a truly friendly atmosphere. If you're in Messina, it's worth a stop!

18/08/2025: A horrifying experience. First time in Montalbano Elicona (a delightful little village, by the way), we decided to stop at this pizzeria in the middle of the pine forest. We sat down at a table at 8:35, and no one brought us menus or water until we flagged down the waiters, who were apparently extremely busy serving the tables outside. We ordered around 9, ordering four pizzas, two of which were the same. The drinks we'd ordered weren't available (I'm talking about a standard Coke Zero and a Corona), despite them offering alternatives. One of the four pizzas wasn't available because the ingredients weren't there, so we had to change our order. So far, nothing special. Then the drama: the wait. We had to wait over an hour and a half for four pizzas. After an hour, we asked how the pizzas we'd ordered were coming along, and instead of apologizing for the wait, we were told it wasn't their fault because there was only one oven and we'd have to wait a couple more orders. I should point out that the restaurant ONLY served pizzas; a single oven to serve 45-50 tables in one evening might be a bit limited. Needless to say, by the time the pizzas arrived, we'd already lost our appetite (and the drinks had also been finished). However, we were delighted to notice that while we were waiting, the waiters and pizza chefs stopped to chat with other customers from the town, making the wait even more unnerving. We got up to pay and were allowed to go ahead of us by some "friends" of the restaurant owners. When we paid the bill, no apology was offered for the wait, nor was there any attempt to remedy the situation. Even though the pizza was good, I wouldn't recommend going there under any circumstances.
