One of the best bar in messina, have a great table siting outside for a nice chitchat with a mezzofreddo, the bartender makes the best mezzofreddo in messina that I’ve had. Always a pleasure to go there the owner is very welcoming. I once couldn’t pay with card because machine wasn’t working and it was really kind of him to say you can go and pay later also. Definitely worth it, and it’s my go-to caffe bar now.

15/10/2025: Extremely expensive, be warned. Two non-alcoholic aperitifs, served in two tiny glasses, and a "stand" with banal peanuts, pretzels, and crisps, came to a whopping 13 euros—something I'd pay around 8 euros for elsewhere. In Calabria, for 13 euros after an aperitif, you can easily skip the dinner they serve you. Be careful not to push it too far!

Ristorante The King of Fish

04/07/2026: I'm in the seafood industry, and I'll start by saying I always come back here willingly. First, they use the highest-quality ingredients. Second, Vulcano Island is spectacular, and eating fresh fish just steps from the sea is the best. Second, everyone is very friendly, especially the owner. Prices are fair, obviously high, but that's fair for that type of ingredient. Second, the location. And finally, for anyone who complains about the prices, I'd say, don't go for fresh fish; go to a nice chicken shop, King of the Fish. The name says it all.
29/06/2026: I recommend trying the raw fish and the pasta with lobster...it's special!! Kudos to Gianluca and the entire staff!
