18/10/2025: A delicious meal. We ordered arancini, pitoni, and focaccia for dinner. Then we had a dessert called "bianco e nero," which was spectacular.

10/10/2025: A pizzeria, restaurant, café, and bakery all in one 😀. Great coffee, delicious mini ice cream cones, and super traditional Sicilian rolls with fillings (spinach, cheese, pistachios, mortadella, etc.) – truly some of the best I've ever had. A takeaway option, perfect for the beach. Plus, a ton of various sweets. A must-see if you're visiting a beach in the area.

17/10/2025: Very good restaurant. Chef Giuseppe explained us every meal in detail. They use local ingredients and everything was so delicious.

06/10/2025: We arrived around 9:15 pm and were greeted very coldly, feeling like we were intruding. We couldn't get a menu: we were simply told that there were only a few glasses of wine, beer, or cocktails left. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine... the latter was clearly a leftover bottle with a deposit, charged at €10 per glass. There was no opportunity for a snack, and the waiter stayed behind the bar on his phone, apparently waiting for us to leave to join his friends in the neighboring restaurant. A truly disappointing experience, to be avoided.

05/10/2025: The waitress at the tables was wearing truly inappropriate clothing. If it's cold, the place should buy sweatshirts or sweaters with the company logo, and, alas, those truly ugly leggings. But there's more: she responded rudely when we pointed out that the order had been ordered with sparkling water in the gin and tonics instead of tonic water. The rudeness continued, accompanied by facial grimaces when we pointed out that the peanuts and chips were from the previous table... she never replaced them in the two hours we were seated at the table. She continued to be rude when it was time for the bill, telling us to get up because the place was about to close... without saying a thank you or a goodbye, just instructions to settle the bill. I should point out that we were all very polite people in our 40s, who did or said nothing to deserve such treatment. We have and continue to travel the world, and frankly, we've never seen anything like this. Yes, you can pay any amount for a gin and tonic, that's not the issue... but that it's well-presented, which it wasn't, that it's accompanied by good service and a welcoming atmosphere. But as described above, the status quo speaks for itself. Restaurants are serious business. This should serve as a spur to the owners, because the blame for all this doesn't lie with the individual woman who does a job she doesn't want to do and clearly can't do. On the contrary, I believe it lies with whoever puts her there to represent a restaurant, which is, all things considered, quite successful. Let this serve as a spur to the owners, because it's meant to be a constructive, but unfortunately unavoidable, report.

29/08/2025: I had a decaf and a cream croissant. Drinking the decaf was like drinking dirty water... how can you serve a coffee like that? Not to mention the spoon to stir the coffee was all caked on. I think some bars in Messina should close down by now. I don't recommend it.

23/07/2025: We've been eating pizzas from Pizzeria Roma for years now, and nothing has ever disappointed me, not even the Margherita, which in its simplicity is truly delicious. A few weeks ago, I saw the new entry "CAPRICIOSA 4.0" on social media. In my opinion, it's a pizza like no other, I'd say superb, for my tastes, obviously. It's not a revisited Capricciosa, which is hard to describe. The superior quality artichokes finish with a hint of truffle oil—in short, it's worth trying.

31/07/2025: At this bar, you can find the REAL granita from Messina. The owners, friendly, smiling, and kind, offer a product that's almost impossible to find in new-generation bars and ice cream parlors anymore. I personally had a peach granita with cream and brioche. #chetelodicobarre

05/08/2025: I'd heard good things about this place, and looking on Facebook, I saw some tempting dishes—boards of appetizers, first courses, second courses, etc. When we got there after an hour's drive, the staff told me they only do pizza rounds; 4 people is too much, so we ordered four pizzas from the menu... well... neither praise nor infamy... I've had better. The service is non-existent, drinks are basic... water and Messina beer... napkins are on demand, and when it's time to pay, a waitress pockets the money, turns her back, and walks away, without a receipt... I thought they were doing us a favor by letting us in. The prices are certainly low, but so is the quality. I'll also have to reconsider my relationship with the people who recommended it to me... never again 😕

04/10/2024: Spectacular point with breathtaking views, also reachable on foot from the port of Panarea, via a flat road that winds between the wonderful typical Aeolian white houses, covered in bougainvillea, ficus and prickly pears. The climb to the Milazzo tip allows you to enjoy from above the panorama of the nearby islands. Directly on the right and left of the tip are the beautiful dark beaches of Cala Junco and Cala Zimmari.

15/09/2024: Aperitivo con l’equipaggio della barca.. circa 12 persone. Locale con vista ok ma le sedute sono estremamente scomode (la metà era su un muretto dove non erano nemmeno forniti cuscini decorativi da usare). Ogni drink costa 20€, un po’ troppo. NEMMENO A CORTINA O A CORVARA IN BADIA! Dopo aver ordinato una dozzina di drink si sono presentati con due vassoi in croce con pietanze tutto sommato ok ma veramente scarse in termini di quantità. Rappresentata la questione, con immensa scortesia, ci hanno detto che la cucina stava chiudendo e che non c’era altro. Significava forse che ci stavano dando gli avanzi?? Boh! Ad ogni modo lo skipper è intervenuto parlando con un manager di sua conoscenza e voilà… sono arrivati altri vassoi! Infine non mi è parso che i wc fossero accessibili ai disabili in primis perchè dalla terrazza si devono scendere due piani di scale e poi non ho notato nè ascensori nè ringhiere attrezzate per favorire la discesa dei disabili.

21/07/2025: Pizzeria in a slightly dated old house, probably in need of renovation. The terrace overlooking the Aeolian Islands is beautiful, but it's noisy because it borders the main road, with roaring motorcycles... impossible to talk. The pizza is average, perhaps a bit too large.

28/08/2025: A good focacceria in the southern area of ​​Messina. The traditional focaccia is excellent! (But they don't use enough anchovies, in my opinion.) Other flavors are good to decent. Free, punctual home delivery service and a friendly staff member. Fair prices.

29/09/2025: I've been there twice for dinner with other friends. We also met the owner, who is very kind and friendly. The food is excellent. The only small flaw, in my opinion, is the TV always on and at a rather annoying volume. ...But that certainly doesn't detract from the quality of the dishes served, which are also beautifully "choreographed." I highly recommend it.

12/04/2025: Order placed through moov Eat at 4:00 PM and I repeat 4:00 PM, requesting delivery at 9:00 PM. They had the barbaric nerve to tell the delivery driver that there was a lot of work and didn't deliver the focaccia to the delivery guy at the scheduled time. I could understand an order placed at 8:00 PM, but it's not plausible to treat online orders this way, evidently to favor those who show up at 9:00 PM. The focaccia had already been paid for anyway.
