It's worth checking out here and trying, for example, the setteveli, which is not bad, and the babà; the other assortment of sweets is excellent. At the same time, the ice cream is very ordinary, and the service is unpleasant. Be prepared to pay more than usual. 2025. I've visited this bar a couple of times recently. I didn't like it at all. The almond granita had a bad taste, the brioche was so-so, and the cappuccino smelled of the specific smell of shelf-stable milk, which also interrupted the aroma of the coffee. At the same time, the prices are high. 7.20 euros for: bad granita without cream, old brioche, cappuccino and croissant. Also, the smell of tobacco smoke when eating and drinking inside the establishment. Tasteless and expensive. Not recommended.

21/09/2025: Rude staff, I asked for a table and they told me there were no tables available when there were two occupied tables in the entire room, the others to be cleared were non-existent at the seats according to the waitress..... first and last time I set foot in this place because of the lack of tact and non-existent education, also when leaving the place the workers behind the counter were muttering something among themselves RUDE not knowing this is the welcome... then you complain when you miss work RIDICULOUS!

I went alone around 1:30 PM and they charged me for two loungers for the whole day, telling me that it made no difference whether I was alone or half a day. €20 for half a day, and I even got the last row. I was hoping to at least relax, but nothing. The distance between loungers was almost nonexistent. No privacy; you could hear everyone else's conversations as if you were part of the same group. To get to the beach, you had to walk right past everyone. To top it all off, my umbrella had no place to put my phone. €20 for a few hours...stolen.

09/07/2025: Questionable from a culinary perspective. Pasta was out of stock, some pizzas were unavailable. The pizzas served looked like frozen goods – no one ate more than half. Mozzarella salad came with jelly. No comment. Okay for ice cream and a drink. Better to go somewhere else for food.

03/10/2025: Very long wait times (few customers, simple dishes, etc.). Ingredients listed on the menu aren't served. The answer is, "There are different preparation methods, we cook it differently here." Please don't write that on the menu.

30/09/2025: I don't want to just leave a review, but a huge compliment. I spent three nights in a row at this wonderful place, where not only the atmosphere enchants you. The food is divine, and the live music makes dining here a unique and fantastic experience. Above all, I'd like to leave a huge compliment for the service: I traveled alone, but thanks to the guys at La Scala, I had evenings filled with laughter and good humor. For those who stop by, try the seafood linguine and enjoy a lovely cocktail, made with love—it really shows. If I ever return to Taormina, I already know I'll be back at La Scala Restaurant.
