13/08/2024: Come, see, WIN!!! Absolutely the best in everything, year after year!! A pastry shop with an infinite variety of delicious desserts and which also has a part of the counter used as a cafe where you can have breakfast. In my opinion the best granita in all of Messina! 😉 Trust me, lately it's not easy to find such good ones and at the price of €3 with brioche! Almond with coffee and cream (delicious!) and brioche made by them (delicious!) FABULOUS! Nun's sigh or cannoli filled on the spot AMAZING! Homemade almond milk and not the one bought at the supermarket, very careful about details! Staff very kind and always available to the customer. They are a pastry shop and not a real bar, so their forte is desserts but breakfast at their place is truly a SPECTACULAR! The granita flavors are: almond, strawberry, lemon, coffee, chocolate. The desserts are all very inviting, but above all I recommend their black and white, they also make mega-abundant single portions!! 😄 Obviously they also have a small pastry shop. Inside there are two small tables to sit on and a counter where you can have breakfast. The best thing would be to put some outside on the pavement with perhaps an umbrella, but I don't know how it works for permits. 😉 In any case, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Go there and you won't regret it! 😉

11/01/2024: Pizza tra le migliori di Messina. Ottimo sapore, ottima digeribilità. Ingredienti di buona qualità. Servizio da rivedere. Per carità, nessuna maleducazione, ma una espressione quasi di chi ti sta facendo un favore. Peccato.

24/07/2024: I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice evening with family and friends. We had great pizza, made with such a light dough and amazing flavour. The server was very friendly and attentive. He made me try local delicious fruit and made it special. As an English tourist it was a truly amazing experience :)

04/08/2024: We took a piadina and a rice salad with arugula and various vegetables (price not shown) which were both excellent and served in a short time but when the bill came the total was €14 (piadina from the menu €5.50) not we certainly expected such a high price for single-serving rice considering that we didn't get any drinks.

16/08/2024: A place to which I returned every night. Excellent cocktails and ambiance. Owner very pleasant and communicative, he can always give you some advice and what to see in Taormina. For every recommendation.

11/08/2024: Terrible service! We had booked several rooms for our wedding guests. For health reasons and absence we had to cancel them. An imaginable misunderstanding! Claim of having to pay a full penalty given that the cancellation was made 13 and not 14 days before! Claim that the regulation must have been requested by us (where the procedure in case of cancellation was read), even though it is the structure's task to provide all the necessary information! Although the property was recommended to us, we were very disappointed with the service! We do not recommend it for any reason!

15/07/2024: Tutto è stato talmente soddisfacente che siamo tornati al Caffè La Vela 3 volte nel giro di una settimana!! più una quarta per mangiare la loro granita e il loro cannolo superlativo. Il luogo, nella piazzetta di Marina Corta di Lipari, è incantevole. Il personale è sorridente e gentile: Bartolo ci ha dato degli ottimi suggerimenti nelle diverse occasioni. I primi alla eoliana, l'alalunga in crosta di sesamo e il polpo grigliato sono stati eccezionali. Per i dolci c'è l'imbarazzo della scelta: cannolo, ricottamisù, cheesecake al pistacchio e granite. Quanto vorrei poterci tornare subito!

15/08/2024: Superlativo. Siamo arrivati senza prenotazione il 13 agosto a cena e si sono fatti in quattro per trovarci un tavolo senza dover attendere. Pesce squisito: materia prima freschissima e di qualità cucinata in modo sofisticato ma delicato. Non avevamo mai mangiato un carpaccio di tonno con mozzarella di bufala; eravamo curiosi ma scettici, ma è uno dei piatti più buoni che abbiamo mai provato. Anche misto di pesce gratinato e spaghetti con i gamberi rossi di Mazara superlativi. Porzioni abbondanti.

09/08/2024: Ce restaurant nous a été conseillé par l’hôtel où nous logions. Un bon service, les plats choisis étaient bons à part le mien qui était super super salé avec 3 morceaux de poissons tout petits et trois crevettes!! Donc j’ai été très déçue vu le prix! Ma fille et mon mari ont, quant à eux, bien mangé! Je suis donc mitigée.
