07/09/2025: Nice place, excellent food, and good service. The wine list offers an excellent selection. A place you'll gladly return to.

19/08/2025: This place embodied what keeps Sicily from standing out above all others. A dinner for vacationers with a craving for meat. Five of us showed up and were seated at a table inside, which I was forced to appreciate, despite the heat and the mere presence of fans, since everywhere outside, people are still allowed to smoke rudely in front of those eating. People need to be legally obligated; respect and civic duty are nonexistent. Luckily, we were first to arrive, even though it was 8:00 PM. So, no delays with service. We skipped the first courses, ordering three appetizers to share and five second courses: fillets, tagliata, veal cheek, as well as a good 2017 Sicilian wine. All excellent. What's the flaw? The side dish for the two beef fillets, as per the menu, was "ash-fried potatoes"; the other three second courses included mashed potatoes. When the dishes arrived, they all contained mashed potatoes. Naturally, we prefer to eat hot, but as soon as one of the staff approaches, I ask why the side dish was changed from the menu, adding with a smile, "Maybe the chef didn't feel like making the potatoes à la citron." Unless I misunderstood, I was told the chef was on vacation and was handed the menu so I could verify what I was already sure of. Nothing more. I don't apologize for the forced change, but at least offer a half-word to justify it. Nothing at all. At the end of the dinner, I ask another woman in the dining room about it, who tells me they had a reception at lunch that messed everything up. End of excuse... But can you? If I order a pizza with chopped cherry tomatoes, can you just bring it to me with the sauce and not care? It's still tomato, right? What was the point of coming to the table before the dishes arrived and saying a few words about it? Who would have objected? Oh well, in Sicily, simmu cussi! I pay the bill, after pointing out the extra glass of wine I'd ordered before opting for the bottle, which is promptly deducted. I thank them for the excellent meat (not the side dish), say goodbye, and leave. Nothing is missing from achieving excellence. Except, perhaps, it doesn't matter. And as a native of the island, that's precisely what bothers me.

17/09/2025: Fast but inefficient service. Terrible poke (there was no raw salmon/tuna) with frozen shrimp, brown avocado, and tasteless wakame. The Japanese mayo was actually regular mayo. The rice was soggy. Other quality products, but the poke was inedible.

30/08/2025: A beautiful place with exquisite desserts, in my opinion and that of my family, the best in Messina, undoubtedly the result of care and attention to Sicilian tradition. Extremely friendly staff. A gem on Corso Cavour. Highly recommended.

The pastries look and taste great There is a large selection of freshly baked treats, pastries and cakes There are a few small tables where you can sit, we had a coffee there and a selection of freshly baked pastries. It was a busy spot with a constant stream of customers coming in. The staff were really friendly and helpful Probably best to get there early and avoid the rush. Would definitely go back there, if ever in Sicily again

17/08/2025: The location is truly beautiful and well-kept: it's a real shame to find the weather bad on August 15th and not eat outside. The fish is fresh, certainly well-frozen and of high quality, but it's prepared without imagination, without that special something that makes you remember it. With two bottles of wine, appetizers, and a first course, we spent €50 per person (considering we had three small children). Dessert needs rethinking: the flans are fine, but the crème brulee and freshly defrosted cheesecake aren't up to par with the place, and especially the bill. The service is truly lame (missing menus, endless waits for dessert, lack of coordination, sloppiness). There's no parking: you have to park in the middle of the street. I don't think we'll be back.

19/09/2025: Hotel overlooking the sea... we stayed in this splendid hotel on September 25th and the feeling, from the room, was that of being on a cruise ship with a 180-degree view of the waves. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were impeccably clean. The breakfasts and meals at the partner restaurant "Nino sul Mare," located a few steps from the hotel, were also excellent. The pizzeria with a terrace directly below the hotel makes delicious pizzas; you absolutely must try the pizza with figs, prosciutto crudo, and spicy pistils... a delight! A special thanks to Giorgia, who, with her professionalism and kindness, made our stay even more pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommended!!!!

18/11/2025: The focaccia was inedible!! Full of oil, it tasted like soup. I also had some fried arancini and some French fries, which were less oily than the focaccia. It was truly disgusting. I had to throw it away. The French fries tasted like fish, and the pistachio arancini only had a few chopped pistachios inside. Never again.

01/07/2025: We celebrated my father's 50th birthday here and we were really satisfied! The place is wonderful, welcoming and perfect for an evening with friends. We chose the pizza tour, which was excellent: light dough, abundant and tasty fillings. The staff was very kind and always available, especially the waiter Nunzio, who stood out for his friendliness and courtesy. Thank you so much for making this occasion special!
