14/03/2024: Viaggiando da Palermo a Messina verso ora di pranzo curioso su The Fork e mi incuriosisce la scontistica al 50 %,.
Abbiamo preso 12 gamberi 🍤 rossi di Mazzara, un antipasto della casa, tre primi ripieni di crostacei con pomodorini, tre fette di pesce spada, una frittura di totani, una frittura di lattarini, due bottiglie di acqua e una bottiglia di vino.
Tutto molto buono.
Totale 136 euro con la scontistica applicata.
28/01/2024: My wife and I ate at Lido Est on a Friday evening at the end of January, a period in which most of the beach clubs in Sicily are closed. But the Lido Est remains open all year round, at the cost of serving only two customers per evening (as happened to us, but the owners Giovanni and Grazia didn't make us feel it in any way, on the contrary!).
We ate the house starter, a slice of grilled swordfish, fried squid and a plate of grilled vegetables. All very good and cooked by Grazia with care and passion. Wine and bitters to finish. Having accidentally mentioned the red prawns of Mazara in the conversation, Giovanni and Grazia offered us a dish with four of the renowned (and expensive) raw prawns: much, much appreciated!
The bill was more than fair for what we ate.
But perhaps the best part was the long chat with Giovanni and Grazia, who made us feel truly at home. A nice couple who bet on this place and who loves to be ironic about their history and life.
It's easy to imagine that in summer the atmosphere is much more lively and lively, but we liked the evening like this: quiet and with the family. Thank you very much, you made us love Castel di Tusa even more. We will be back for sure!
