15/10/2025: Missing Receipts: A Widespread Phenomenon and Its Implications ​Missing receipts at this bar is a common occurrence, not only in Messina but in many other parts of Italy. The reasons given by managers are often based on a supposed need to keep costs down, justifying the practice with rising raw material prices and bills. However, this explanation doesn't hold up, as the requirement to issue a receipt is established by law and cannot be circumvented. ​When a merchant fails to issue a receipt, they are committing tax evasion. This means that part of the money you, as a consumer, have spent is not declared and, therefore, not taxed. This has a direct impact on all of us. Taxes, in fact, are used to fund essential public services, such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and security. If a portion of the population doesn't contribute fairly, the tax burden falls more heavily on other citizens and on honest businesses that regularly pay their taxes. In an economic context where everyone is expected to do their part, it would be desirable to see more transparency, even from those who, judging by their lifestyle, don't appear to have major difficulties. Furthermore, it's illegal to have unqualified, and especially not legally employed, staff waiting tables in a bar. In fact, a man was spotted wandering around the tables serving food; in fact, I even saw the same person wearing a municipal police uniform. Who knows!

18/01/2026: Truly delicious sushi! The quality of the ingredients is exceptional and you can taste it in every bite. We had lunch with the all-you-can-eat option: the food was plentiful, beautifully presented, and of above-average quality. The service was attentive and the portions generous. Highly recommended! We'll gladly return.

18/01/2026: The food was of fairly good quality, the atmosphere was a bit dark and the table was a bit small for 3 people, but the staff in the dining room adjusted the arrival of the dishes and all in all it went very well.

01/08/2025: Our family stay at this agriturismo was pure magic. The tranquility, the stunning views of the mountains and Mount Etna, the pool, and all the activities for the kids were simply perfect. But the real highlight was the hospitality of Filippo and Rita and their incredible food. The homemade Sicilian dishes they served us every night, with fresh vegetables from their garden, were hands down the best we've ever tasted. Our kids even asked why we couldn't spend all vacations here!

25/08/2025: I was here a few weeks ago. Parking, unfortunately, isn't the easiest thing due to the location, but it's easy to find. I had dinner here, ordering several flavors of focaccia (400g each). We had the traditional one, the one with potatoes, and the one with salami. The ingredients were really good, the prices were fair, and the focaccia was truly delicious. I highly recommend trying it if you've never been before.

14/02/2026: An hour late for a home delivery. I called after the first half hour, and they didn't even apologize, telling me the delivery guy would be leaving in five minutes. After the second half hour, I called back and said I was refusing the delivery. They didn't even bother to apologize or find a solution. Truly ridiculous. I've never had anything like this happen to me.

30/10/2025: Good evening, I'm speaking personally because I'm genuinely tired of hearing stories and speculations about the establishment in question, the renowned pizzeria "Pizza 33." It's frequently rumored that the wait times are practically interminable; therefore, I thought it appropriate to verify the authenticity of these claims. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by the two master pizza chefs, flanked by their respective teams, named "Paky" and "Shiva." I should point out that my visit took place during the Halloween period, and I must admit that the decorations were extremely meticulous, almost theatrical. Even the wait staff were rigorously costumed, so much so that, when one of the waiters approached with my dish, I momentarily suspected an attack due to the intimidating nature of his mask. Returning to the gastronomic experience, my order dates back to October 31, 2017. Upon recent inquiries, I was told that the pizza would be ready within a period of approximately twelve centuries. However, I finally received the order dating back to 1798, thus managing to taste the long-awaited dish. The pizza was paper-thin, with crisps on top that were almost scorching hot, mozzarella obtained—according to the statement—from Mr. Mario Owitti's bakery, and sauce prepared by the expert Mrs. Annamaria Annunziata Cannoletta. After the meal, I went to the cashier to pay and immediately looked at the price list. I noticed an anomaly: I remembered for sure that the marinara pizza was priced at €3, but now it's listed at €3.50. I therefore believe I will not return to this establishment, as the prices are, in my opinion, excessive and subject to unjustified increases, a circumstance I find slightly regrettable. In closing, I would like to point out that one of my dearest friends celebrated his birthday here last summer; nevertheless, it is said that the pizzas from that event are still in the pre-baking stage. 05/01/2026: Sei Nodi 2.0 was a surprise! I found it while walking in Letojanni and I had one of the best pasta dishes with sea urchins of my life! A warm and welcoming atmosphere, intimate and family-run, it's literally located on the seafront 🌊! Enjoy it and maybe, unlike me, remember to take a photo before eating your dish 🤣!

25/12/2025: We happened to be passing through Letojanni for a winter stroll and noticed this place (essentially a prefab "attached" to the seafront road and suspended over the beach) partly because it was one of the few open. It seemed ideal for a quick, affordable meal: I've never made such a mistake! The interior is in light wood, frankly a bit out of place: it feels more like a mountain chalet than a place a few meters from the sea, but that in itself wouldn't have been a problem. Immediately upon entering, greeted by a kind, yet somewhat subdued, gentleman, we took a seat and, although astonished by the high prices (which seemed like those of a Michelin-starred restaurant), we immediately ordered, thinking perhaps they were referring to the high season or that we'd have a really good meal anyway. We chose 2 spaghetti allo scoglio, 1 carbonara, and 1 with clams, a bottle of water, and 2 small Cokes. After a while, we realized that in the kitchen, despite there being no customers at the time, seven people were moving around nervously, in an atmosphere of hostility: four men, a woman, and even two children... all of them busy with pots and pans! As soon as the dishes we ordered arrived, literally at our expense, they're used to using not only fat (maybe butter?), but also copious amounts of oil and maybe even flour in the seafood spaghetti... The result? All the fish-based first courses tasted greasy and caked-on, with no discernible distinct flavor whatsoever... Perhaps the only ones that were worthwhile and passable were the spaghetti carbonara... The bill was outrageous: for three barely edible first courses and one passable one, one bottle of purified tap water, and two small Cokes: a whopping €91... Had we been to a real restaurant, especially if it tasted good, I would have understood, but in the place described above, no way!

01/01/2026: I went with my family to celebrate my birthday. I'd been there years ago when it was a pizzeria under the old management. We were satisfied; the food was very good. Excellent service, nice and welcoming place.

25/10/2025: A decent mussel soup and a sadly overcooked seafood risotto can happen, but poor service can't be ignored. • Point one: the waitress's obnoxious insistence on telling us what she was saying, pretending not to understand our requests. • Point two: the wine-by-the-glass scam, with a terrible, sour white wine that we had changed and which she then immediately passed on to the table behind us. The response was, quote: "If you ask me for wine by the glass, this is quality!" An unspeakable response, especially since any restaurant offers a choice of at least two whites and two reds. • Point three: the mockery about the mussels, quote: "They're small these days, but frankly, they're the ones I like best," and a few minutes later, at the same table behind us, quote: "Mussels are small these days, but I don't eat them anyway, neither large nor small." Frankly, we've never encountered such a bizarre place. And then when the owner, perhaps unaware, said goodbye to us by saying "See you next time," and we replied, "Frankly, next time won't be here," she remained speechless, not even trying to understand what had happened, not just to try to improve herself, but not even out of politeness. Speechless.

11/10/2025: A simple and refined location, impeccable service, and dishes prepared with top-quality ingredients. Traditional dishes are revisited with a delightfully inventive twist on flavor. A wide selection of wines is also available. Highly recommended.

11/10/2025: Went for lunch today and were greeted warmly. The place is well-maintained and clean. The welcome cocktail was tasty, and the dishes were very carefully prepared. My wife, who is gluten intolerant, was treated with care by the lady in the dining room, unlike some places that make health issues seem like a matter of choice. The prices were "fair." Highly recommended.
