21/09/2025: This restaurant represents a historic landmark for the city of Acireale. Forty years ago, it was the first sandwich shop to open in this area, introducing a more open gastronomic culture, one that embraced the new trends that defined the generations of that era—styles and customs that have indelibly marked the worlds of music, film, and fashion, leaving no room for restaurant dining. In our view, this historic business is one that deserves much more consideration, often even more so than its more recent counterparts. The reasons are simple: we primarily focus on the expertise, availability, and skills of our staff, elements that are the foundation of any business where customer relations are essential. The selection of top-quality products, which must never be lacking, is evident in all the dishes served, from starters like chips to pinsa (a type of pasta), and other dishes. The clean, bright, and distinctive setting creates a pleasant atmosphere and is ideal for a quiet, intimate dinner, but also perfect for small groups, with the small outdoor deck and the indoor dining room that also features a mezzanine with additional seating. We highly recommend this restaurant because there's nothing spectacular about it, and our vision always reflects simplicity, as our readers will have noticed. Although it's a simple sandwich shop, it has the experience to manage the dining room, kitchen, payments, reservations, delivery service, and all the other services of the establishment, which are always under control. This can only lead to positive results, especially considering the politeness and courtesy evident in discussions between staff and customers, which already contributed to much of our absolutely positive rating and represent a recommendation for a normal, yet perfect, experience in our beloved Acireale. 28/09/2025: Terrible The gourmet cavaddari 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ you don't even know what the word gourmet means. As soon as we got to the restaurant, we could already hear the waiters complaining that they were short-staffed, and after that, they came to take our order after more than 45 minutes. We asked what the house appetizer included, and were told (I think by the head waiter) in these exact words: raw and cooked fish, a mix. Well, maybe she doesn't even know the product. Meanwhile, I tried to order a wine, chosen from their menu obviously, but the first course wasn't available, the second course was sold out, and the third course was due to arrive, so I asked, "Bring me what you have." He brought it, ignoring the fact that the waiter didn't even try to get me to taste it first; he started pouring it directly into the glasses, even throwing it on the table. The first courses begin to arrive, placed directly on the table without any mention of what she's brought, much less what's inside (if they're calling themselves gourmet, they should explain the dish, or at least what's inside). We go to try them, and my son notices that one of the dishes contains pineapple, which I'm allergic to. I call the manager to explain my problem, but instead of apologizing or trying to remake my plate, she insults me, saying I should have explained my problem first. A small disagreement ensues between us. Anyway, they continue eating, bringing out a small fried dish, which, pardon the expression and the gentleman's grace, not even the dogs wanted; it was soggy, greasy, oily, and disgusting. Okay, we told them we didn't want the starters, but it was too late. The first ones arrived overcooked and loose, and my son's risotto was salty, loose, and soupy. Bottom line: we left everything; in fact, I had them fixed for me so I could bring them along, so at least the dog could eat dinner too. No discount at the register, obviously not even one we asked for. The only truly good things were three: water, Coke, and wine. Nothing else. Zero food, zero hospitality, zero everything. Not only will I never return, but since I run a business that involves a lot of people, I won't recommend it to anyone, not just because of the poor, low-quality food, but because of how you handled the situation. All I had to do was say, 'I'm sorry,' and have them remake it right away, and everything would have been fine. I wouldn't have returned anyway, because people don't like your cooking, but at least I wouldn't have given you bad publicity.

10/10/2025: I give 5 stars for the food - the service and the atmosphere, if there were 10 stars I would give all ten, I am a regular customer every day, the quality is excellent, not to mention the granitas which are the best, the hot table is excellent and then all the guys are quite good from Davide, to Giacomo the best of the pastry and cakes up to the waiters, there is a family welcome so I recommend the Blue bar in Piazza Europa to everyone ❤️

25/10/2025: Very pleasant and quaint atmosphere. Excellent service. The burger is excellent. I'm not entirely satisfied with the craft beer; I would have preferred a more full-bodied red. The only flaw: the acoustics are absolutely not suitable for live performances.

15/10/2025: Good, almost decent, but not exceptional. It offers reasonably priced meals, but the quality of the menu is similar to that of a good company cafeteria. The deli is well-made. The pastries are decidedly good. The staff is quite courteous and professional. The indoor dining room has terrible acoustics: it's too noisy. The outdoor spaces are better, especially in the summer, when they make a good granita. The availability of parking spaces is definitely a plus: you rarely run out of space.

12/10/2025: Three large breakfasts and two small takeaways: very poor in size, quantity of filling, and quality. However, they know how to charge well. I won't be returning.

09/09/2025: Enjoying the hot food, granita, ice cream, and various pastries in this taste laboratory, which isn't a bar, is an almost unique experience. Paolo uses only high-quality, seasonal ingredients. He combines his father's tradition with his art of reinventing and enriching typical Sicilian products, in addition to the artisanal production of pandoro, panettone, colomba, and various cakes. I would also add the friendliness, politeness, and professionalism of the father and son owners.

25/06/2025: If you want to find the highest quality, you have to go to Bar Doge in Acireale. The zeppole, desserts, hot food, all prepared with top quality ingredients. The owner, Paolo always welcomes you with a smile and manages to entertain customers with joy and spontaneity and an aspect not to be overlooked, you will always find excellent music. I recommend it to everyone

06/05/2025: If you find yourself in these parts, stop by here... not in the center but not far away... you will find delicious arancini and spring onions (another characteristic but less known food)... 🤤
