21/09/2025: This restaurant represents a historic landmark for the city of Acireale. Forty years ago, it was the first sandwich shop to open in this area, introducing a more open gastronomic culture, one that embraced the new trends that defined the generations of that era—styles and customs that have indelibly marked the worlds of music, film, and fashion, leaving no room for restaurant dining. In our view, this historic business is one that deserves much more consideration, often even more so than its more recent counterparts. The reasons are simple: we primarily focus on the expertise, availability, and skills of our staff, elements that are the foundation of any business where customer relations are essential. The selection of top-quality products, which must never be lacking, is evident in all the dishes served, from starters like chips to pinsa (a type of pasta), and other dishes. The clean, bright, and distinctive setting creates a pleasant atmosphere and is ideal for a quiet, intimate dinner, but also perfect for small groups, with the small outdoor deck and the indoor dining room that also features a mezzanine with additional seating. We highly recommend this restaurant because there's nothing spectacular about it, and our vision always reflects simplicity, as our readers will have noticed. Although it's a simple sandwich shop, it has the experience to manage the dining room, kitchen, payments, reservations, delivery service, and all the other services of the establishment, which are always under control. This can only lead to positive results, especially considering the politeness and courtesy evident in discussions between staff and customers, which already contributed to much of our absolutely positive rating and represent a recommendation for a normal, yet perfect, experience in our beloved Acireale. 09/12/2025: It's wonderful to find a pastry shop open at 5:00 AM on a holiday! The baristas are friendly and professional. The desserts are excellent. The savory pastries are delicious, freshly baked around 6:00 AM. The place is clean, bright, welcoming, and spacious.

09/09/2025: Enjoying the hot food, granita, ice cream, and various pastries in this taste laboratory, which isn't a bar, is an almost unique experience. Paolo uses only high-quality, seasonal ingredients. He combines his father's tradition with his art of reinventing and enriching typical Sicilian products, in addition to the artisanal production of pandoro, panettone, colomba, and various cakes. I would also add the friendliness, politeness, and professionalism of the father and son owners.

31/10/2025: The pizza was good and plentiful, though it was a shame the crust was a bit thin and dry. But it was Saturday and it was very busy, so that might have been the problem. Their Parmistacchio is a noteworthy pizza!

31/01/2026: This restaurant, located near the cliff, is housed in an old building comprising several carefully renovated and tastefully furnished rooms, accessible through a small folding door. The wait staff is welcoming and courteous. The seating is comfortable, the table simple. The ambient lighting and musical accompaniment are pleasant and unobtrusive. After a delicious, fragrant and aromatic welcome appetizer, you can choose from a wide selection of fish and meat dishes. It's a shame that vegetarian or vegan options aren't included on the menu, but they are available upon request. The wine list is excellent. The service is good, but not impeccable.

29/12/2025: Terrible experience, extremely slow service, table booked at 8:30 PM, we arrived at 8:15 PM and they made us dine after 10 PM!!! Limited menu with practically no choice, ZERO FIRST COURSES AND ONLY ONE MAIN COURSE!!! Pizzas made with a high crust method, without offering alternatives to customer tastes, unrealistic and old-fashioned combinations of ingredients, each ingredient you add or choose is on average €2 or €3 more, very high base prices, a Margherita starts at €9.50!!! Draft beer only €0.30 and only three bottles of €0.50!!!! Certainly the last time we went there, they have completely lost quality in every sense... the view doesn't make up for the quality, I'm sorry.

16/01/2026: We discovered Laviko by chance through a friend. I must say the lunch menu is excellent. The pasta alla norma and the potato fritters were excellent today. The volcano-shaped desserts are truly delightful, and the themed cannoli are truly unique and spectacular. We'll be back!

26/11/2025: Santa Tecla, Acireale, CT. Via Argenta, 110. We had two pizzas, not exceptional but good enough. The long wait times were made more bearable by the view from the terrace overlooking the sea. The service staff could do more and better.

27/09/2025: Good food and very friendly service. The waiter with glasses speaks English and is very helpful. I recommend both the service and the food. It's nice that they also sell ice cream.
