16/05/2026: Aperitivo 🍻 with Crodino was good, but unfortunately the rest wasn't up to par. The fries were bland and of poor quality, while the pizzas and mini cartocciate were under-seasoned. An experience that could definitely be improved!

After 10 minutes, two guys who hadn't booked like us came in and made us sit outside because they knew one of the girls who served the table...but oh well, apart from this, we ate the appetizers without plates and we couldn't ask for it because no one, even if you called, filled you up. Not only that, the hot water "broth" arrived without a cap, but at least they changed that because I blamed myself for calling...the cold square and a piece of rubber, an evening to forget, a place to eliminate

31/05/2026: I'm writing this review following my experience on the evening of May 30, 2026. My fiancée and I had booked a table for two at 10:00 PM to celebrate our first anniversary. The reservation was made two weeks in advance, on May 18, 2026, at 10:00 PM, the earliest available time of the evening. I want to point this out because, when I made the reservation, I was asked what occasion I was reserving the table for. We arrived at 9:50 PM and immediately encountered a problem: the restaurant's parking lot was completely full. At the direction of someone who seemed to be managing the parking lot, we were asked to leave our car in the service area in front of the restaurant. This forced us to cross the SS114, a situation we personally didn't find particularly convenient or safe. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated at 10:15 PM. We quickly ordered two pizzas, a portion of fries, a glass of red wine, a beer, and a bottle of water. After about 40 minutes, only the drinks and fries arrived. From that point on, a wait began that to call excessive is an understatement: the pizzas never arrived. Throughout the evening, we repeatedly asked the staff about the delay, always receiving the same response: to wait longer. At 11:50 PM, almost two hours after ordering and without receiving our main course, we decided to leave the restaurant and pay only for what we had actually consumed, a total of €25, as stated on the menu. I understand that unforeseen circumstances or particularly busy times can occur, but what was lacking above all was communication. A delay of this magnitude, especially on an important evening for us and booked well in advance, deserved clear explanations, timely updates, and greater attention to the customer. Unfortunately, the evening that was supposed to celebrate a special occasion turned into a long wait that ended without even being able to consume what we had ordered.

24/04/2026: The food is excellent, nothing to complain about, but unfortunately the service is extremely disorganized. After a first evening experience last year where, due to the extremely long waiting times, we asked at a certain point not to bring us any more dishes that hadn't arrived, we gave the restaurant a second chance last Sunday. We arrived as scheduled at 1:30 PM. I understand the large turnout, I understand the unusual day, but they made us wait an incredibly long time for our order. The desserts arrived at the table at 5 PM! Not even at a wedding! I don't think we'll be back, even though the food is good. They should hire more kitchen staff for busy days, because waiting that long for food isn't an option.

07/06/2026: I went to this pizzeria tonight for the first time and obviously it will also be the last, because I wasn't able to eat any pizza, because after waiting an hour I saw that people who arrived after me were already enjoying their pizza. Among other things, they also made the wrong fries that we ate, for goodness sake, they were also good, but the mistakes, the long wait times, the poor organization make people grumble and get annoyed. I will never go back.

09/12/2025: I ordered two very simple Margherita pizzas with sausages and fries with a friend of mine, and they managed to get everything wrong: The pizza was burnt, with just two fries and a few sausages (just two, to be precise), and they were burnt and had a terrible flavor. Besides the terrible flavor, they also arrived cold. I'll conclude by saying that I paid €8 per pizza, so for a total of €16, it was a rip-off for a pizza that, looking at it, I would have paid maybe €5 at Conforama.

02/05/2026: As soon as we entered, we were asked if we had a reservation; when we said no, they seated us at a table for two anyway, but the welcome was rather cold and uncaring. We ordered an appetizer of raw and cooked fish, but the dishes were disappointing: small portions and, even worse, sand. After pointing this out to the waiter, the response was even more disconcerting: we were told that "sometimes they don't wash properly." A truly unprofessional excuse. Unfortunately, the first course, a calamarata, also had the same sand problem, rendering the dish inedible. The experience was made even more unpleasant by the owner's attitude, who remained standing for quite some time, insistently observing the room. I felt uncomfortable, almost under scrutiny, rather than welcomed. When it came time to get the bill, the disappointment was complete: the prices were decidedly too high for the quality and attention to detail of the dishes served. A very negative experience, from every perspective. We won't be returning.

30/04/2026: I dived into the flavors of Il Porticciolo in Capomulini... If you're looking for an authentic fresh seafood experience in Sicily, Il Porticciolo restaurant in Capomulini is a must-see. I came here with a group of friends during a motorcycle tour of Sicily. For many of them, this place has been a regular stop for years, and now I finally understand why! It's worth a stop because the quality of the food is high. The fish is incredibly fresh, and every course exudes the authentic flavor of the Mediterranean. You can taste the carefully selected ingredients, not to mention the atmosphere and the view: eating with a sea view completely changes your day. As you savor the dishes, you can smell the sea air and hear the sound of the waves: total relaxation. Impeccable service: The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They made us feel at home right away, even though we were a large group of bikers. Versatility: It's the perfect place for both a lunch with friends and a family dinner. The space is spacious and suitable for all needs, with indoor and outdoor tables. There were even musicians playing traditional Sicilian music. My verdict: I had a wonderful time and I can confirm that it will become a must-visit for my future trips to the island. If you're near Acireale or Catania, treat yourself and stop here. I highly recommend trying their seafood appetizers! I'll definitely be back.
