08/04/2026: The interior is quaint. Unfortunately, the outside is a spartan structure with awnings, plastic tables, and chairs, with barely adequate lighting, which could use a makeover. But the real problem is the staff: unhelpful, they don't make customers feel comfortable. I ordered a plate of spaghetti with sea urchins, which was literally drowned in oil. Remembering the glories of the past, I expected much more. I'm unlikely to return.

15/03/2026: What can I say? The structure was very nice, but it was absolutely unsuitable for all the tables it contained. It was absolutely packed; you couldn't even move your chair. The waitresses had to do acrobatics to get through. The problem would have been a tragedy if they had to escape for any emergency. The waitresses were very kind. The only thing was that they got one order wrong and, instead of replacing it with the one requested, they left what was there. The pizza was decent. The only thing was not to overcrowd all the tables because it had become a real party. We left with a headache. Otherwise, the prices were absolutely reasonable.
14/03/2026: I booked a table for 17 people using the app, and we were all seated at the scheduled time without a problem. The pizza was delicious with excellent ingredients, the desserts were exceptional, and the staff was welcoming and ready to accommodate our every request.

08/01/2026: Happy to have rediscovered this place! Mescan is a historic pub in Acireale. I spent many evenings there with friends as a teenager, but then it went into decline and I haven't had the chance to frequent it again. I was skeptical about returning, but I was surprised to find a place that has been reborn, even better than before! The place is still as amazing as it was then, but the food, beers, and overall quality have significantly improved. Their burgers are delicious, with homemade bread and quality ingredients. The service is friendly, helpful, and fast. To this day, it's one of the few pubs in the Catania area that can still call itself such. Prices are in line with the rest of the market, with the difference compared to other places that are adequate for the quality provided. Average cost €20 per person.

13/07/2025: 45€ per cosa, esattamente? Un menù fisso che sa di fregatura.
Sono stato a La Bettola dei Marinai con la speranza di gustare un buon pranzo vista mare, ma sono uscito con la sensazione di essere stato truffato. Il famigerato “menù fisso” da 45€ a persona è una trovata ben confezionata per attirare clienti e svuotar loro il portafoglio senza offrire nulla di realmente all’altezza del prezzo.
Nessuna trasparenza su cosa includa esattamente il menù, nessuna possibilità di scelta, e soprattutto un'esperienza che non vale nemmeno la metà di quanto pagato.
Alla fine il conto arriva senza sorprese… ma con tanto amaro in bocca: 135€ in tre per qualcosa che altrove sarebbe stato classificato come “menù turistico” da massimo 20€.
Un’operazione ben studiata per sembrare autentica, ma che puzza di marketing ingannevole lontano un miglio. Non tornerò, e consiglio a chiunque di informarsi bene prima di sedersi. Unico aspetto positivo.. i ragazzi che lavorano li come camerieri

Mi avevano parlato di questo bar situato in una posizione ottima.
Posteggio davanti alla struttura e villa Belvedere proprio davanti.

07/07/2025: Un posto decisamente gradevole, dove il personale (Marco, Giorgia e Michela) accoglie i clienti con le opportune gentilezze. Se la tavola calda non spicca tuttavia non se ne può dire male. Anche i cocktails vengono serviti con un assortimento variegato. L’eccellenza, però, sono i gelati e la pasticceria, della quale occorre rendere merito al pasticcere Nunzio Napoli. Ho gustato la granita mandorla e pistacchio e posso dire che è una delizia; non posso dire altrettanto per le brioche (che vengono scherzosamente definite “con il toupet”) che ho trovato decisamente mediocri e mi sono posto una domanda: com’è possibile che, a fronte di una qualità così alta, insieme con le granite vengano servite delle brioche di così bassa qualità?!
