27/07/2026: Dont sleep on this place in Catania! If you need a break from pasta and pizza eat here! All three flavors of the skewers were AMAZING with the pop sauce and mayo. The Kombucha was great too! I could’ve ordered more of the skewers since they’re smaller than expected

23/07/2026: Casual atmosphere. Offers a nice menu of pizzas and seafood dishes. The pizza is excellent, as are the dishes. The quality/price ratio is among the best on the eastern coast of Sicily. One small drawback: when the place is busy, the wait to get to the restaurant can be a bit long. The staff is friendly.
21/07/2026: The fusilli alla norma with basil had no basil, no ricotta, and no seasoning; they were flavorless. The tuna carbonara was also bad. The pizza was good, and the fried appetizer was good, but overall, we wouldn't return.

02/07/2026: Great family owned place with friendly staff, cozy small Italian city atmosphere and delicious food of all kinds. Plenty of sea food dishes, pizzas, sallads and meat. Highly recommend!
21/06/2026: We waited 50 minutes for food that was partly cold. Even the bread basket didn't arrive any faster. We didn't want to wait another 50 minutes for the bill, so we approached the rather uninterested staff ourselves. It was also noisy due to the street traffic.

29/07/2026: I gave 5 stars to this restaurant as it was joyful dining experience.
It’s the first time to visit Sicily and did not know how to speak Italian. The owner and waiter were very nice and helpful. Is willing to talk to us via google translator. Their warm welcoming is much appreciated.
It was surprise to us as there is no menu. Everyone seemed knowledgeable what they will eat for meal. We simply followed what is offered, turned out to be surprisingly good local Sicily seafood. There are more than 13 dishes for a meal, a drink is offered at the end. Such a lovely time here with my hubby and children. Highly recommended!

21/07/2026: Superlative seafood dinner, but the real highlight is the hospitality! We dined at this splendid restaurant and were enchanted.
The quality of the seafood is unquestionable, the dishes are fresh and divinely cooked. The atmosphere is magical, and the breathtaking view completes an already perfect picture. However, the real added value of this place is the hospitality.
I could name a few in particular, but the truth is that the entire staff is wonderful. Everyone works with a smile, is super helpful and always attentive, discreetly approaching to make sure nothing is missing. A fantastic experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone!

07/06/2026: We've had fresh fries and pizza. Both were very good. We ended up only eating half a pizza each, but the waitress was very nice and brought us a box for takeaway.
There was a young waitress there who spoke very good english. She was very kind, efficient, smiling and helpful.
24/05/2026: Excellent pizzeria and excellent restaurant. Impeccable service. The lady who answered the phone for my reservation was very kind and even understanding of my late arrival, which I had announced with a subsequent phone call. Highly recommended! 👍

12/07/2026: The cave is a... little cave, cool but tiny and a little oppressive, at least for me. The idea of having them prepare an appetizer, first course, or second course with the fish of your choice is nice.

18/07/2026: Plastic tables and chairs? But we really don't care. We ate the house appetizer with raw and cooked fish...delicious.
We ate first courses, strictly spaghetti, one with clams, the other with anchovies...excellent. The second course was prawns and calamari, a few oysters...excellent. Sorbet and dessert. Well, I'll add another adjective: exquisite, delicious, succulent. The location overlooking the marina perfectly complements the freshness of the dishes. We paid about €50 per person. Kudos to all the kind and professional staff, led by Carmelo.

03/07/2026: We wanted a table with a sea view, given the terrace, so we chose the marina at 8:00 PM. They told us the terrace was completely reserved, so we could sit in the internal room overlooking the jet ski, covered by a black tarp. We refused, and then a place for two on the terrace randomly became available. Most of the tables remained empty until 9:30 PM. In the end, we ate frozen lobster, which was cooked well, frozen seafood salad, and... bagged mashed potatoes flavored with lemon and at least fresh parsley (they serve with the octopus).
The wine list was disproportionate to the menu. Highly prized wines not supported by the menu.

26/07/2026: We were impressed by Mr. Umberto's cuisine and Mr. Giovanni's service.
The portions are generous, the appetizers are excellent and varied, the three first courses are delicious, and the mixed seafood grill is excellent.
10/07/2026: Poor food, awful flavor, raw pasta, cement bread, never to be returned. Now I understand why we were alone on a Friday night!
The sorbet tastes like soap...
And in the end, we paid €35 per person for appetizers and three first courses...no second courses...
I hope no one gets sick.

14/07/2025: Una cena abbastanza buono, antipasto assortito e un primo abbastanza condito m.. bel complesso lo consiglierei se non hai altissime pretese
13/07/2025: 45€ per cosa, esattamente? Un menù fisso che sa di fregatura.
Sono stato a La Bettola dei Marinai con la speranza di gustare un buon pranzo vista mare, ma sono uscito con la sensazione di essere stato truffato. Il famigerato “menù fisso” da 45€ a persona è una trovata ben confezionata per attirare clienti e svuotar loro il portafoglio senza offrire nulla di realmente all’altezza del prezzo.
Nessuna trasparenza su cosa includa esattamente il menù, nessuna possibilità di scelta, e soprattutto un'esperienza che non vale nemmeno la metà di quanto pagato.
Alla fine il conto arriva senza sorprese… ma con tanto amaro in bocca: 135€ in tre per qualcosa che altrove sarebbe stato classificato come “menù turistico” da massimo 20€.
Un’operazione ben studiata per sembrare autentica, ma che puzza di marketing ingannevole lontano un miglio. Non tornerò, e consiglio a chiunque di informarsi bene prima di sedersi. Unico aspetto positivo.. i ragazzi che lavorano li come camerieri

15/10/2025: This is my second time there, and it didn't disappoint. The desserts were delicious and fragrant! I enjoyed a cruffin, a mix between a muffin and a croissant, with cream and salted caramel. It was pure poetry!

11/04/2025: Outstanding seafood and incredibly fresh fish, beautifully presented. The wine was exceptional, and the desserts were truly memorable—especially the pistachio tiramisu, a delightful twist I’d never seen before, but absolutely delicious. Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance, right by the sea in a cozy, charming spot, made the experience even more special.
07/04/2025: ieri sera cena a base di pesce eccezionale.
neonata cruda delicatissima, un risotto alla pescatora con tutti sapori del mare e poi una seppia cruda la cui semplicità ne metteva in risalto la freschezza. il tutto innaffiato da un calice di insolia ricco di profumi.
la cortesia e la simpatia del proprietario, hanno reso ancor più gradevole la serata.
