04/08/2025: This isn't anything new; rather, it's a confirmation, a guarantee of quality and courtesy that's been around for years since Carmelo's time. The atmosphere is familiar and informal. The fish, as always, is delicious, from the mixed seafood appetizer with calamari, oxeye, octopus, and shrimp to the grilled fish. The pasta with sea urchins is a staple, but the one with shrimp and cherry tomatoes is equally delicious.

01/08/2025: Located in Santa Maria la Scala in the Acireale area. You arrive and there's no real set menu; you pay based on what you order, especially the weight. In fact, when you enter, the first thing you see is the balcony with the daily produce, where you can choose your favorites. We had a seafood salad with shrimp, octopus, and oxeye, and it was excellent. The highlight was the first course, the linguine with magnosa, which was delicious, rich in shellfish and well-made. The mixed fried fish was good, but nothing special. The service, as far as the waiters were concerned, was all friendly and well-trained, but one downside was that we waited almost 40 minutes for the first course, and it wasn't very busy that evening. The price was very reasonable, considering our choices, which weren't cheap, so I found it fair.

20/08/2025: Nice and welcoming place. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered various pizzas, and with the sole exception of the Margherita, some were too thick and others were undercooked.

10/08/2025: When you know the owners but didn't know they were the owners? Well, it happened to me 🙈🤭🤣😍 The name of the place had intrigued my husband for a while, and last night we finally decided to go. What can I say: quality, professionalism, very kind and very fast staff, focaccias that were nothing short of spectacular, quality ingredients, light, thin, soft but crunchy at the same time, in short, wonderful. For my daughter we had a slice of delicious pizza, but they also bring platters with several slices of pizza... 5-star review, from the moment we took the first bite, and without being biased I told those at the table that I would write many positive things, without knowing that I knew the owners🤭 but I didn't know that the place was theirs, so well done guys, fully deserved review... we will be back with great pleasure.

26/07/2025: After specifically asking for a coffee and almond granita at the counter, I was served an almond and pistachio granita. Despite a reminder about the mistake, I was arrogantly and rudely told to take it anyway. One thing is certain: I will never return to this bar, as I found the staff unkind, welcoming, and courteous.

09/07/2025: On the occasion of a very special occasion, we decided to visit a very well-known and renowned restaurant in our city for dinner. It's located in the historic center, right on a street that connects Piazza Lionardo Vigo, adjacent to the church dedicated to the co-patron saint, San Sebastiano, to the Piazza del Duomo, overlooked by the Acireale Town Hall and the Cathedral. Because it's summer, the pizzeria moves all its seating outside, in a small green villa overlooking the square. We were greeted by a very young, yet expert, competent, and above all friendly staff. After a reasonable wait, we received a portion of classic, simple French fries and then two pizzas: a "Norma" and a "Profumata." We enjoyed all three courses because they were prepared in a reasonable amount of time, with impeccable ingredients and cooking, which truly satisfied our taste buds. Despite the very common products, tradition and quality, as always, outweigh innovation and originality when not combined. The restaurant is fully equipped, even inside, and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes, divided by category, as well as traditional desserts from our local cuisine. The bill was also absolutely reasonable for what we ordered and the service we received from all the staff, even when making our reservation. The quiet and simple yet formal atmosphere, along with the excellent dinner offered, made this moment of remembrance an occasion we will never forget. We at MG Reviews recommend Vecchia Aci for any need, because everything is systematically tailored to your convivial setting. We noticed this in our situation and also observed it at the tables adjacent to ours, which were seated by a very diverse group of people. Everything listed above is simply the result of particular attention to management, organization, and expertise in the sector in various aspects, such as supervision, collaboration with other staff members, dedication, and listening to the customer; in this way, they manage to feel appreciated. 31/08/2025: We came to this restaurant on a Saturday to try the pizza, since it's in the Top 50 Pizza and some of my friends had told me the food here was good. So we decided to give it a try. We ordered two cocktails, fried cod, two fried zucchini flowers, and French fries. Everything was really delicious: the fried cod was very good, soft, and perfectly done. Then we ordered two pizzas, a Margherita and a Parmigiana. Just looking at them, they were different from what I'm used to, and they were VERY good and light. We chose the Neapolitan dough. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful and warm atmosphere, plenty of tables to accommodate large groups or even couples, for a romantic getaway without having to travel far and still be in the city without having to travel many kilometers! Excellent salad and pizza! A great location for celebrating birthdays with friends!

10/08/2025: A welcoming place in the city center, beautifully presented, helpful, welcoming, and very friendly staff, and quick and attentive service. The prices are quite affordable. I had the chance to try both the hot food and the dessert, and I must admit they were truly delicious! I would definitely recommend it for an excellent breakfast without having to wait in line or for a feast of sweet and savory treats. I'll definitely be back!
