08/11/2025: I wanted to share an unpleasant incident that happened to my son on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at this deli. He went to Cordai' to buy a piece of hot food, and the counter clerk served him an arancini. Once he went to the register with the arancini in one hand, having no cash, he presented his credit card to pay. The person at the register, seeing the credit card, snatched the arancini from him, saying they couldn't accept the payment because it was too low. Now I realize that the owner is trying to avoid paying bank commissions when such a low amount is presented (ignoring, among other things, that there are contracts with very low commission rates, so... get up to speed), but I want to highlight the truly arrogant and disrespectful gesture towards a 16-year-old boy, who at that moment couldn't even respond, remaining speechless and shocked by such rude and ill-mannered behavior from an adult. Now, first of all, my son should have been able to pay by card by law rather than suffer this injustice. But above all, it's worth noting that the arancini my son had in his hands, which he was about to take a bite of, were put back on the counter without any qualms. Truly unfortunate.

08/12/2025: Today, December 8th, there was a fixed menu, where you couldn't change any dish, not even for allergies or if you were pregnant. The appetizer was tiny, on the platter, really small for eight people; there wasn't even a slice of cured meats per person, much less cheese. A small bowl of caponata, a bowl of broccoli, and a bowl of pumpkin were for eight people. When the waiters served dessert, they didn't even know what it was or what ingredients it was made with, so if anyone had allergies, they didn't know who to turn to. An experience not to be repeated.

06/10/2025: Our experience was excellent. To begin with, we were greeted warmly in a truly beautiful and well-appointed location. We hadn't experienced such friendly and helpful service in a long time. We decided to have pizza, which was also very good. We'll definitely be back and recommend it 😊

08/10/2025: I'm not even going to rate the food; it wasn't good enough to make me turn a blind eye to the thing that had previously put me off any desire to eat it anyway: the price. I paid €14.50 for two regular kebabs with just meat, chips, and basic sauces, and no, I didn't include any drinks. Prices like that in a town of 40,000 inhabitants, when in Milan, Rome, Turin, or anywhere else in the province of Catania, even the best kebab shops never go above €4.50-5. It's hilarious how I have a long-standing clientele that shows no signs of diminishing; on the contrary, you won't see me again.

10/08/2025: Excellent sandwiches, very good, the cheese sauce is a delight, my favorite, the girl who makes the sandwiches is very good, professional and every time I order by phone in the end everything is right, something that never happens in other places, compliments also to the owners, a warm greeting to the great uncle Mario who now rightly enjoys his well-deserved retirement

09/09/2025: We stopped in on our first night in Catania. I ordered a calzone with mortadella and my partner had a pizza. Both were delicious! The calzone was huge for 11€, I ended up taking the rest home and eating it the next day. Highly recommend!

08/09/2025: A delightful place, with attention to every detail, excellent cuisine but exorbitant prices (e.g., 4 euro cover charge per person) and very little availability or kindness from the chef or owner.

09/12/2025: I visited this restaurant with a group of 24, and the experience was, unfortunately, very bad. They split us between two tables—an understandable choice—but the service was horrendously poor: one table received their dishes immediately, while the other had to wait about 20 minutes, as if we were two completely separate groups. The portions, served on shared trays, were truly meager. Their "house dish," Monte Conca macaroni, cost €16, but several people at my table and I ate a maximum of 8-10 macaroni each. One person at our table couldn't even taste the pasta, so much so that they had to bring an extra tray only after I pointed it out. And to think, we were guaranteed that the trays would be shared by everyone... which was impossible, unless we settled for three macaroni each. The dish, besides being small, was also disappointing: basically, pasta with tomato sauce, with very little eggplant and no trace of pancetta, despite it being listed as an ingredient. To top off an already poor experience, the drinks bill was exorbitant: between water and Coke, we spent €93, significantly disproportionate to the quality and quantity. I'm giving it one star only because Google doesn't allow lower ratings. Disappointing experience, insufficient portions, and disorganized service. I won't return, and I don't recommend it.

08/12/2025: Disproportionate. The bill was too large for what we actually consumed; it's not possible to pay €180 for 18 pieces of cheese, even at 1,800m above sea level. We paid €1,700 for 24 people, and what we were served was: - some macaroni pasta each - about 50g of rice each - a few platters sold as "mixed grill" that left us hungry. Undoubtedly, it's a problem getting the goods so far from the city. But there's a limit to everything, and it's disrespectful to your customers to charge for such a large imbalance just to avoid eating something truly special. I'm not criticizing the quality of the food, which was fine, but rather the quantity and final price: for €70 each, we would have eaten more anywhere, even on Mount Etna.

11/12/2025: A well-kept, warm, and welcoming location. A reassuring and pleasant atmosphere. Truly delicious. The cuisine is varied and generous, with fresh, expertly prepared traditional dishes. The staff is professional, attentive, and punctual. The owners are fantastic, kind, courteous, and helpful. Absolutely top-notch in Nicolosi. We celebrated my daughter's baptism there. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined, family-friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and a warm welcome.

06/12/2025: I gave one star because I can't give zero. There were seven of us. I ordered a salad because I'm celiac, even though there were some gluten-free meat options. The service was terrible, as the meat ordered by the others arrived all at once, while I had to wait 30 minutes longer for my salad than the others. We're talking about a salad, and it's unacceptable to let that much time pass. The salads ordered by the others as a side dish arrived first, rather than mine, which was my main course. Not to mention the quantity of the salad, which I can only call paltry. They also ruined my friends' dinner because their dishes got cold while they tried to wait for me. Not to mention the final bill: we weren't expecting anything, but at least an apology would have been appreciated. Instead, to top it off, we were sarcastically asked if there were any problems.

07/12/2025: The food is good, as always. Reasonable prices and large pizzas. The tables are packed, with no room to move and impossible to talk. It was certainly a Saturday night, but there are some things you can do to make the evening more enjoyable.

29/11/2025: Outrageous to say the least, I ordered through Just Eat (with a free coupon), but an hour before my order was supposed to arrive, they canceled it due to THEIR technical issue, and at that point, the free coupon was completely lost! I called and was told they had a connection problem and that I could order over the phone if I wanted, but that I wouldn't be eligible for any discount. A reputable restaurant would have given me a discount (the value of a Margherita) to make up for THEIR problem. I hope the only response to this post is an APOLOGY!
