Sapori Siculi In Catania

I'm here right now, the chef is a wonderful person, the staff is truly competent, the food is top notch, the quality and price are truly top, I recommend it to everyone

We tried the Sapori Siculi restaurant this evening. We found it on Google Maps and decided to give it a try, especially since it was close to our hotel. Everyone seemed surprised that we sat down at a table on the outdoor terrace; the waitresses and the chef all came out to see us. They kept asking if we really wanted to stay. We were then asked if we wanted a menu to order à la carte. We tried to communicate with the waitress to find out what was in certain dishes (specifically the type of meat—we wanted to avoid horse meat), but we couldn't make ourselves understood. We were practically forced to take a 1-liter bottle of water and a glass each. To be safe about what we were eating, we ordered spaghetti carbonara and a 0.33l bottle of beer each. We didn't get glasses for the beer; the bottles were barely even opened for us. The pasta wasn't great—just "edible." A *coperto* (cover charge) was added to the bill. I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this place.

A superb restaurant with tasteful decor and a friendly atmosphere. There were five of us for dinner and everyone was delighted. Unbeatable value for money. The dishes were simple, authentic, and delicious. A place we highly recommend.

We visited Sapori Siculi in Catania and had a delightful evening. The food was generously portioned, and we were very satisfied. A special compliment goes to Azzurra and Angelica, the ladies who served us: they were fantastic, kind, friendly, and always available to answer any of our questions. They showed great customer service, even surprising us with a lovely gesture for my mother-in-law's birthday: they brought a watermelon with the number 60, making the moment even more special. Thank you for your professionalism and courtesy. It was a pleasure to be welcomed by such cheerful and helpful people!

Welcoming and well-kept restaurant, very kind and attentive staff, quality food. Excellent value for money, everything delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

The food is delicious, truly Sicilian, a good cook, the staff doesn't speak English but is friendly.

We highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly, attentive staff, large portions at a great price. The pasta alla Norma is especially recommended. We even went twice because we enjoyed it so much.

We stumbled upon this little restaurant by chance, and as sometimes happens, the best things happen by chance. We were greeted by Manuel, who was incredibly kind and recommended excellent dishes, offering us a variety of typical Sicilian dishes, both seafood and meat. We had a wonderful time; the family welcome was warm and the traditional dishes were delicious and plentiful... the standout dishes were spaghetti with squid ink, artichoke, and horse meatballs. Even the kids were 100% satisfied.
