30/09/2025: And here I am, a couple of days later, reviewing Cacio & Mollica. Location: 4/5 Compact and tidy; the counter is clean and well-lit. It's pleasant to watch the pizza chef as he rolls out the dough, adds the toppings, and bakes. Menu: 5/5 A wide variety of classics and creative options. I ordered the Capricciosa: light dough and perfectly cooked. Next time I'll try the burgers, which look truly delicious. Service: 5/5 The order was taken courteously; no mistakes (there were more than ten of us with different orders) and practically no wait, despite it being a Saturday night. Bill: 4/5 I spent €8.50 for a pizza and a drink. Considering the quality of the dough and toppings, the price is fair.

29/09/2025: Super pizzeria. I ordered pizzas and burgers to go with some friends and we all had a great experience. The dough and ingredients were very good, and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back to try their other specialty pizzas.

11/09/2025: For me, this place was special. The coffee was strong and delicious, the view of the sea, and the counter was always full of sweet pastries. Plus, they're open early in the morning. And even though Italians consider takeout coffee "desecration," the gentleman handed it to us with a gentle smile :) This made watching the sunrise even more special.

19/06/2025: Leaving aside the failure to deliver a maki, after spending 150 euros I find myself receiving a hot product that does not respect the "cold chain" (which is not appropriate for a delicate dish like sushi). As you can see from the photos, the fish looks ugly, has a dubious consistency - an appearance that makes you think of a spoiled product - and above all has a highly unpleasant flavor. I hope it was an unfortunate exception, but I doubt it. PS: The delicacy in the delivery is remarkable: the soy sauce was inside a plastic cup covered with transparent film and the entire order was served in two makeshift plastic bags.

03/10/2025: Super friendly service. An excellent selection of dishes. There were five of us, and we were recommended a good meal. The three-course menu, including water, wine, and grappa, was delicious. And for €25 per person, it was simply fantastic!

26/08/2025: I had the pleasure of eating at Mangio Siculo and the experience was exceptional! Despite being primarily a fast food restaurant, the quality of the food is astonishing: fresh ingredients and authentic Sicilian flavors are evident from the first bite. The staff is extremely courteous, attentive, and helpful, ensuring prompt service but always with a smile. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quick meal without sacrificing taste and quality!

18/08/2025: We paid €20 for a sandwich, a piadina, and three drinks, all of which were inedible. I absolutely do not recommend it. Zero seriousness, food not at all fresh.

23/09/2025: We were traveling with a motorcycle and tent and spent several nights at this campsite – we originally planned to stay just one night, but we extended our stay twice because we loved the location so much. The site is quite basic, but offers plenty of space and electricity for charging your phone or power bank. The restrooms are nothing special, but clean and functional – just what you need. Hot water in the showers is available via a stop-and-go switch, which can be activated with small coins (available at reception for less than 1 euro for 3 minutes). We were particularly impressed by the surroundings: The view of Mount Etna is impressive, and in less than five minutes, you can walk to a small pebble beach, which was pleasantly quiet and perfect for relaxing. Small supermarkets are nearby, and restaurants are also within easy walking distance (all under 20 minutes). Catania is also a quick stop. Overall, a simple but very well-located campsite, perfect for anyone who wants to combine nature, the sea, and proximity to the city. 😊

21/09/2025: BEWARE OF THE ANTS!!! THEY INVADED OUR CAMPER!! NO DISINFESTATION AND NO NOTICE AT THE ENTRY! BATHROOMS IN DEMOLITION! WASTE DISCHARGE IMPROPER! NO CONTROL AND TOTAL DISCRETION! THE ONLY POSITIVE NOTE WAS THE FOOD! AS FOR THE REST, AVOID IT!!!!

31/07/2025: Food was very tasty and fairly priced but very small portions. Also, many options listed on the menu were not available. Service was exceptionally SLOW (1h 30min to get from from ordering. Would NOT recommend if you are hungry!!!

28/06/2025: Intrigued by the presence of a section of vegetarian and vegan pizzas, I decided to try the section of this pizzeria on the occasion of the Thursday promotion in which the classic pizzas cost €5 and the special ones €7. Once they arrived I sadly noticed that these pizzas, the vegetarian and vegan ones, were not included in the promotion (because they do not fall into the "special" category, I deduce). But why categorize pizzas that, apart from the addition of vegetable cheeses (present only in some, or on request) are simple pizzas with vegetables? What is the difference between these and a green calzone (which is among the classics) and among the many others present on the menu in the classic and special sections? The "vegetarian" pizza itself is not part of this separate list, but it is among the classics (and is included in the promotion). It is clear that the "vegetarian/vegan" section was created for marketing reasons (and in fact, it worked: I placed the order first!) but that is precisely the problem. If you choose to promote yourself as a place that is attentive to the needs of those who follow a plant-based diet (with a page dedicated to the green proposal), excluding these pizzas from the weekly offers makes them "other", "different", and not an integral part of the menu. In this way, you penalize those who make a different ethical or dietary choice, and you betray the spirit of inclusiveness that a veg section should represent. My criticism is therefore not so much about the lack of transparency, as in fact if you refer to the mere title of the section it is right that vegetarian pizzas are not the object of the promotion, but the very choice behind this thing. A true veg-friendly menu should not be limited to a label, but should be fully integrated into the rest of the offer, promotions included, without therefore categorizing them separately as if they were "other". I repeat, the same pizzas could have easily been in the traditional sections of the menu (with possibly the surcharge for plant-based cheeses if requested). I write all this with regret, because the pizza was good, and I would have definitely ordered it again in the future, if I hadn't felt excluded instead of included. The goal of a veg-friendly menu should be to encourage the consumption of plant-based products even for those who are not vegetarian/vegan, but this is not the case and, in fact, in this way, it discourages it.

23/06/2025: I ordered two pizzas on justeat. One called for fried zucchini and instead it came with roasted zucchini. The other called for buffalo mozzarella and it came with a grainy cheese that didn't taste like buffalo. Last but not least, a hair stuck to the mozzarella. The only positive factor was the speed of delivery and the friendliness of the delivery boy.

09/06/2025: In 16 years that I have lived in this town, I have never had the brilliant idea of ​​trying this pizzeria. We enter this bar/pizzeria at 9 pm, we are immediately told that there were a couple of people before us, so we quickly decide to order a seasoned bread. What a disgrace! We waited 1 hour and 20 for a horrible product! I don't think you can ruin a bread like you did. Everything completely burnt, wrapped in foil, and it tasted of cinnamon. I don't know how it is really possible, I have never seen such a squalid product. Further along there is a pizzeria that opened less than 1 year ago, I won't say the name out of respect, I can only say that it is located in the place of the old Elison pizzeria. Try it and believe it. Super low prices but they certainly don't give you burnt food.

02/06/2025: Tonight, since the takeaway pizzeria where we get our supplies was closed, we wanted to try the seasoned bread from this pizzeria: well, in addition to the lack of kindness from all the staff (including the owner, who as a good local "takes care" of the customers he knows, ignoring the new ones), the pizza chef, thought it was a good idea - once this UNSALT bread was baked (as it was completely devoid of oil, as well as "made do" with very few ingredients) - to wrap it up quickly, putting it inside the appropriate cardboard, so as not to show that said bread was burnt! What can I say... Shame! Making fun of people, believing that we were dealing with petty and venal people like you! It would have been more appreciable to remake the bread, but I understand that only honest and loyal people, as well as professional and skilled, would have done that! Shame on you! A place to avoid!

21/09/2025: More than two hours of waiting and food that did not meet expectations.

21/09/2025: We went to dinner at this restaurant on Saturday evening and unfortunately witnessed a truly unpleasant scene. A customer, with an arrogant attitude, got up from the table carrying his plates and violently bumped into the waiter, who was kindly trying to help him avoid injury. Despite the waiter's politeness and helpfulness, the customer continued to raise his voice and maintain aggressive behavior. Immediately afterward, he began yelling at the kitchen, complaining that a dish was late, using harsh, inappropriate language and tone. We also waited, but with patience and respect for the workers. Delays can happen, but they don't justify such shameful behavior. In the end, the owner, with great professionalism, decided not to charge the bill to that table. And they left as if nothing had happened. A scene that left us truly saddened. Respect comes first. Anyone who behaves like this is worthless.

01/08/2025: Abbiamo preso la formula apericena io e mio marito, 16€ a persona escluso bevande(che x carità onesto come prezzo), se non fosse x la qualità. Immangiabile tutto, anche la mozzarella , tutto senza sapore, plasticoso, sembrava avanzato da giorni il cibo è sia io che mio marito ci siamo sentiti male. La pizza non era bruttissima ma anche quella non era chissà cosa! Non ci torneremo sicuramente mi dispiace

01/07/2025: Esperienza super positiva. Avevo visto alcune immagini sui social, con amiche abbiamo deciso di andare a provare le loro pizze super condite. Impasto ottimo, buonissimi gli ingredienti, abbondanti ma ben dosati. Anche gli antipasti, golosi ma non stucchevoli. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato

29/04/2025: Camminando per le vie del centro di Catania, siamo stati attirati dalla location intima e tranquilla di questo locale situato in uno scorcio pittoresco a due passi dal Duomo. Pranzo a base di pesce tipico catanese con materia prima di qualità e porzioni generose. Nota di apprezzamento per lo staff, cordiale, disponibile, allegro e scherzoso senza però risultare invadente. Decisamente consigliato!

27/04/2025: Auf Empfehlung unseres einheimischen Vermieters, Santo, einem sehr netten Herrn, gingen wir in das Giglio Rosso. Es sieht von außen unscheinbar aus und der Chef ist ein selbstbewusster jedoch auch herzlicher Sizilianer. Wir ließen uns dann inspirieren von der Karte und seinen Empfehlungen und bestellten für uns 5 diverse Vorspeisen, Primi Piatti, Secondi Piatti und Nachtische. Und wirklich alles, was auf unseren Tisch kam, war ein ganz außerordentlicher Genuss. Sardellen, Schwertfisch, Garnelen, Tintenfisch, Rinderfilet, Pasta und Dolce. Zum Abschluss ein hausgemachter Marsalla. Alles vorzüglich um nicht sogar zu sagen einzigartig. Bei diesem Essen beschlossen wir, dass es eine weitere Reise wert ist wiederzukommen. In der Nacht entfaltete die enge, dunkle und für Catania sehr typische Straße einen ganz besonderen Charme, wie man ihn nur hier erleben kann. Ein schönes Erlebnis, das wir gerne in unserer Erinnerung behalten. So geht Urlaub ☀️😄 Top-Empfehlung 👍
