21/12/2025: I was there just for lunch. The place is quaint. The bathrooms are clean. The appetizers are very good, but the first and second courses need a bit of a makeover, in my opinion. The staff is quite friendly.
13/12/2025: I hosted a lunch for 70 people, all colleagues. It was a fantastic day thanks to the impeccable work of Nunzia and her entire team. The room, decorated for Christmas and the tables elegantly set with meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness, captivated everyone. The lunch was exceptional, and all the unusual requests for intolerances and preferences were accommodated with the utmost patience and kindness. Thank you so much for making everything perfect! I hope to return soon and spend another fantastic day together.

27/10/2025: We stumbled upon this bakery near our accommodation for our three-day stay in Catania. It was a go-to. The pastries, pizzas, and other products are all top-notch. The staff's kindness, smiles, and courtesy are especially noteworthy.
12/10/2025: Amazing pastries and equally amazing staff! A lovely lady there was especially kind and helpful, making the experience even better. Highly recommended!

26/12/2025: We had a cappuccino and two espressos. We also had a cannoli with chocolate cream and a small puff pastry croissant filled with chocolate cream. Everything tasted wonderful! We only had to pay for the drinks (just €4!), the pastries were on the house. Just like that. We thought it was very kind and would definitely like to come back, as there were many more delicious treats to choose from. Thank you again!

02/04/2026: We had two pizzas. Both were fine with a nice chewy crust but slight soggy centre. Service was good. Atmosphere was a bit Pizza Express.
29/03/2026: The outside of the restaurant was extremely dirty, full of cigarettes on the floor. When it was our turn, they made us sit in the basement with no window, which smelled of food mixed with people, including the smell of the bathroom (it was sickening). Then we moved on to the food. Everything we ordered was finished and we were forced to eat what we didn't want, and even the order arrived wrong and the waiter washed his hands of it instead of going to change the plates. The meat was dry, tough, awful, and strange (we don't even know what kind of meat it was).

29/04/2026: Great little location. They were quite as it was early in the season. We had a great interaction with staff and the owner. Food was awesome. I have introduced glutten free foods to my diet based on Sjogrnes Disease and they are very accommodating with a glutten free selection.

05/01/2026: Bar Sgroi was very close to our apartment, so we went there for breakfast twice in a row. There was a vast selection of sweet pastries (and traditional savory delicacies like arancini), including cream-filled trecce, croissants, and Nutella-filled saccottini. We sat at the tables inside (there's also an outdoor seating area) and drank excellent coffees and cappuccinos, served by attentive and always very friendly staff.
Highly recommended!!!!!!
13/12/2025: The girl at the counter was very kind and professional.
The gentleman who served us, I think the owner, is a jack of all trades, serving food (nothing special) and cashing in. Many places in Catania do this, where hygiene standards aren't respected.
You can't serve food, even if you don't touch it, and then immediately touch money. Aside from the regulations, just the thought makes me a little sick.

12/04/2026: We spent an evening with friends in Zafferana Etnea and decided to eat at this pizzeria.
Cute place, delicious pizzas...not just good, but better. The price is fair and the menu offers a wide selection...yes, you can even choose the flour.
Very fast and perfect service.
And speaking of the service, we sincerely thank Jenny... Attentive and very friendly 😉
Lovely evening.
When we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

24/02/2026: If you're looking for the perfect place and, at the same time, want to eat divinely, you've come to the right place.
The decor is meticulously crafted, modern, and sophisticated, with lighting that creates the perfect atmosphere from early morning.
The pastry shop is almost architectural: they look like jewels with vibrant colors.
I tried their gourmet breakfast and the pastry was simply perfect.
I'll definitely be back, especially to try the deli counter, which, even just looking at it, is enchanting.
It's not just a café, it's an aesthetic experience.
28/12/2025: A great little place for breakfast and coffee, with top-quality products and really nice coffee. The pistachio ice cream was fantastic, and they have a great variety of croissants to choose from. In the evening, there’s music which creates a lovely atmosphere, and the people working there are very friendly and welcoming. A great place to visit any time of the day.

19/05/2026: The ambiance in this alley, "Via Santa Filomena," is lovely – lots of pretty fairy lights… especially romantic and cozy in the evenings. Fud is a good restaurant with a wide selection and a multilingual menu. The burgers are delicious. The smoked sandwich was tasty but unfortunately a bit dry.
