09/07/2025: On the occasion of a very special occasion, we decided to visit a very well-known and renowned restaurant in our city for dinner. It's located in the historic center, right on a street that connects Piazza Lionardo Vigo, adjacent to the church dedicated to the co-patron saint, San Sebastiano, to the Piazza del Duomo, overlooked by the Acireale Town Hall and the Cathedral. Because it's summer, the pizzeria moves all its seating outside, in a small green villa overlooking the square. We were greeted by a very young, yet expert, competent, and above all friendly staff. After a reasonable wait, we received a portion of classic, simple French fries and then two pizzas: a "Norma" and a "Profumata." We enjoyed all three courses because they were prepared in a reasonable amount of time, with impeccable ingredients and cooking, which truly satisfied our taste buds. Despite the very common products, tradition and quality, as always, outweigh innovation and originality when not combined. The restaurant is fully equipped, even inside, and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes, divided by category, as well as traditional desserts from our local cuisine. The bill was also absolutely reasonable for what we ordered and the service we received from all the staff, even when making our reservation. The quiet and simple yet formal atmosphere, along with the excellent dinner offered, made this moment of remembrance an occasion we will never forget. We at MG Reviews recommend Vecchia Aci for any need, because everything is systematically tailored to your convivial setting. We noticed this in our situation and also observed it at the tables adjacent to ours, which were seated by a very diverse group of people. Everything listed above is simply the result of particular attention to management, organization, and expertise in the sector in various aspects, such as supervision, collaboration with other staff members, dedication, and listening to the customer; in this way, they manage to feel appreciated. 08/06/2025: This is a true Sicilian Pasticcetia. We had the most amazing Sicilian breakfast here with freshly made Pasticcini di Mandorla, granita with brioche bun, cannoli and pistachios croissant. The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere is welcoming and you can tell the owner Salvo truely enjoys his work. I will recommend this this place to everyone who is coming to Sicily as this breakfast was one to remember!

15/08/2025: I had a very positive experience at this restaurant. Despite the large table, the service was quick and efficient. I think the pizza was the best I've had in the area, and I highly recommend it. The place is very welcoming, with lovely outdoor spaces and cool temperatures even in summer. I will definitely be back.

26/07/2025: Siamo stati a cena ieri sera e non è stata un’esperienza ottima. Servizio molto scarso se non pessimo. Non arrivano tutti gli antipasti ma solo forse un quarto di quelli che dovevano arrivare. Per di più, dopo più di un’ora si avvicina un cameriere con quattro arancini comunicandoci che erano gli ultimi 4 per un tavolo da 6 che non avevano ricevuto altro se non solo dei miseri gnocchetti. E per non finire, dopo un’altra mezz’ora ancora, a un nuovo sollecito, considerato che stavano anche dei bambini, uno dei camerieri con un fare poco simpatico, lascia correre sul tavolo una busta con dell’altro pane…..proprio vergognoso!!! La pasta, i primi due piatti dei sei ordinati, e’ arrivata dopo due ore e abbiamo pure ringraziato considerato che ci hanno consentito di far mangiare le bambine dopo trenta solleciti. Credo sia il caso di correggere tale atteggiamento considerato che vi ritenete un locale gourmet.

I am so appreciate to your warm help for our teams safe return to hotel in late night. As this is my first trip to Sicily, I have no idea on Sicily's great food. I order some dishes and share with my friends, and we are surprised to the freshness and richness of the foods and high level of decorations, service and wine pairing. The amuse-bouche and welcome drink is perfect. This is real gourmet dinning, and I regret to miss your full course dinner. I will revisit your restaurant and enjoy it later. The price is very much affordable!

13/08/2025: I discovered this place while looking for a café for breakfast, near the house I booked for my vacation. I recommend this place, where all the products on the counter are prepared in their back kitchen. You can taste the handmade flavors, and I really appreciate that. The ricotta ravioli is amazing 😋😋😋!!! Indoor dining and outdoor seating available. I'm updating my review and thanking all the staff for creating such a delicious dessert, something you won't find anywhere else! I'll post a photo. Thank you for making my birthday so special!!

06/06/2025: I've been to this place a couple of times and I've always had a decent time. The other day, after a long time, I went back with some friends and I have to say that I noticed a really significant leap in quality compared to the last time. The owner is very kind, helpful and always smiling, as are the waiters: young guys, but very good at their job. The cuisine has also improved a lot - maybe they changed chef? If so, they really made a great choice. I'll definitely be back! 🤗

19/07/2025: Literally 2 hours just to be able to order and the most horrifying thing is that we were waiting patiently and the people we 'acquainted' were jumping the queue. In the end we got up and left. I absolutely do not recommend it.

05/08/2025: Pizza was okay Tartar was great Tagliata was okay, cooked through despite ordering medium And not everything came at the same time I think the pizzeria and the kitchen didn't communicate... The meat didn't arrive until almost everything was finished.

29/06/2025: Egoístamente no quiero correr la voz sobre este restaurante demasiado ampliamente porque tiene que ser una de las joyas culinarias de Catania. Las repetidas visitas han confirmado que Luciano y su hijo Piero saben exactamente lo que están haciendo para proporcionar mariscos frescos, pasta excelente y cualquier tipo de entradas a una clientela en gran medida local. La relación calidad-precio es excepcional, desde la comida hasta la bebida, y hay una carta de vinos decente. Es evidente que se trata de un restaurante de barrio, y aunque ese barrio –cerca de la estación de tren– podría no parecer demasiado salubre, sería negligente no comer aquí. Catania tiene tantos buenos lugares para comer, pero aun así esto es un punto destacado.

18/05/2025: La comida es realmente genial, el antipasto de marisco para compartir es muy fresco y abundante, el espagueti vongole es muy sabroso y las almejas son grandes. La casa se levantó del barril complementó muy bien los platos locales. También ofrecieron un licor complementario y galletas para bañarse para terminar el banquete. Totalmente feliz experiencia.

23/06/2025: We went to Bar Valery in Fiumefreddo: a nice and well-kept place, with a pleasant atmosphere. The waiter was nice and kind, which is always appreciated. The granita, however, did not particularly impress me. In the area I had the opportunity to taste creamier and tastier ones. Overall, a positive experience, but there is room for improvement in the quality of the product.
