22/02/2026: I'd give the service and food 0 stars. At the checkout, they "mistakenly" charged us €10 more for a bottle, and they didn't refund the difference. Totally not recommended; there are better, more serious places.

20/12/2025: We were on holiday in Sicily in August and hesitated for a long time about writing a review. A friend recommended this place; the wine seller was supposedly very knowledgeable and passionate, and our friend had a fantastic experience there. We drove an hour and a half out of curiosity. When we arrived, I don't think the wine seller in question was there. There was only a young man who was indifferently on his phone and didn't make any contact. We tried to chat, but that didn't work either. We had another glass of wine at the bar, but there was no response. After buying a bottle because of the detour, we quickly left. Afterwards, we regretted spending any money there when this young man made absolutely no effort. I hope the wine seller/owner does something about this, because it's a waste of this beautiful place with so many special wines.

23/01/2026: The church itself is nothing special, but the early Christian church built in a lava cave below it, dating from the 3rd century, is extraordinary. It also contains some frescoes.

07/11/2025: Bar Pasticceria Dalli became our go-to spot while staying in Mascali, just a short 5-minute drive from our agriturismo. This is a quintessential Sicilian cafe experience. Authentic Atmosphere: The place is typically Sicilian, filled with local people sitting, chatting, and warmly greeting newcomers. It immediately made us feel welcomed into the local community. Top-Tier Coffee: Most importantly, they serve excellent espresso. My husband was so impressed by the quality that he made it his mission to go there twice a day to grab his essential daily input of espresso! The service is fast and friendly, and it's the perfect place to start your morning or pop in for a midday recharge. If you are staying in the Mascali area, skip the tourist spots and grab your coffee here for a genuine local experience

16/03/2026: You have to visit this place. I have never experienced anything like it. Yesterday we visited the Hasta Siempre bar in Catania. Just an ordinary bar… Until we entered. The first thing you notice is the decoration. Revolutionaries are staring at you in all their guises. The Palestinian scarf, the communist Stakhanovites, the Red Brigades, Indians, the Cuban revolution, the hammer and sickle. After a while you realize that you are sitting in an Italian left-wing communist cell. Of course, everything is dominated by Che Guevara and the song Hasta Siempre, celebrating his fearlessness. Do you want to smoke Cuban cigars or cigarettes? Yes, you can do it inside. The last bar in Europe where you can still do it.

19/03/2026: Although finding a great burger joint in Italy can be difficult, we finally found the best burger place in Sicily after searching tirelessly and with great appetite. The bread, the meat, and the design of the place are all excellent. Located on Catania's brightest street, it's a food and drink street with something for every palate. I especially recommend exploring this street from beginning to end. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️💡🏮👩‍🍳

14/12/2025: What a lovely place! Great prices, delicious pizza, and fantastic staff. They really put their heart and soul into their food. Thank you for the wonderful experience! Unfortunately, I don't speak Italian, but that wasn't a problem at all. The amazing staff managed to make sure we could understand each other. I walked there from Lidl to try the pizza and saltimbocca. I arrived a bit early. When I got there, they told me they weren't serving food yet because the oven wasn't hot. But they tried to find a solution. In the end, I had a fantastic pizza with a fluffy crust and was incredibly flavorful. The prices are great. (Cheapest pizza marinara: €3.00) I'm only in the area for a short time, but I hope I'll still have time to try the saltimbocca.

04/11/2025: The pizza is large and excellent. The place isn't big, but it has enough space to accommodate a lot of people and have them dance or sing. Top-notch, excellent.

31/12/2025: A well-maintained restaurant, easy access, lots of meat, and a wide variety of cured meats. This is a very greasy sandwich, not suitable for children. Definitely expensive, so check the prices carefully. Service is not very organized.

01/01/2026: We order pizzas very often from Punto Pizza. A takeout pizzeria with Michelin-starred quality. The dough is leavened for a very long time, and the ingredients are top-quality. Plus, for every four pizzas you order, you get a free Margherita. Truly amazing! Keep up the good work.
