Equally noteworthy is the kindness, friendliness, and professionalism of the owners, Iacopo and Alessandra. And what can we say about the delicious, floral cocktails by Flavio, a handsome, talented, and ingenious bartender? Glamour is the place to be ❤️

17/08/2025: I can't post any photos, except for the receipt. But let's just say we were there in 2013, 2015, and we're back in 2025. We have nothing but kind words for this family business, where the owner will serve you with a big smile and warmth. This time, our third time back, we ordered beers for drinks, and for lunch: shrimp tartar, smoked salmon salad, and a chicken panini... Everything, absolutely everything, amazing!!! We will definitely keep coming back as many times as we come to Catania. Thanks for everything 💙

01/10/2025: Just an update on previous review: they are still closed!

18/09/2025: Giving one star coz we didn't get to eat anything!!! How difficult is it to update on Google that its closed for business. We read reviews online, planned especially for this restaurant as we were staying far..but when we reach and saw it closed and a note on the door that it was closed for vacation. Very disappointing!!! Pl be tech savvy and post it online if you are going to be closed.

20/10/2025: Superb location, comfortable atmosphere, and exceptional cuisine. We visited Etna Quota Mille for a family Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. The food, wine, and service deserve a 10/10. We can't wait to return.

19/10/2025: Yesterday I came for lunch with a friend. A magnificent place... in addition to the natural beauty that Etna always offers, I found the 1,000-meter-high masseria enchanting. We stopped for lunch, welcomed by the very kind and efficient Desy, whom I also thank for her advice. We had exquisite appetizers, homemade macaroni with ragù, Angus steak, and lemon meatballs. Everything was truly delicious. I will return and bring more friends to enjoy the breathtaking view, the delicious cuisine, and the kindness of Desy and her colleagues. Full marks!!!

11/10/2025: I've been coming to Catania for work for five years, and Taverna del Grande Albero is a regular stop. First of all, I find quality and courtesy here, but above all, I feel like I'm at home. The owners have become like family to me. I GO TO FILIPPO'S, I say every time!!!! Always friendly, always hospitable, they never fail to chat with the customers, and I highly recommend it!! I've attached photos so you can fully understand my satisfaction. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the spectacular seafood appetizer!

13/10/2025: Sapio is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic fine dining experience with meticulous attention to detail. The minimalist and refined setting exudes a sense of calm and elegance that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is impeccable: kind, attentive, and always discreet, never intrusive. We chose the seafood tasting menu: a true journey of flavors, harmonious and surprising from start to finish. Each course was a small masterpiece, enhanced by a rich and well-selected wine list. The price is slightly above average for a Michelin star, but absolutely justified by the quality of the experience and the caliber of the cuisine. Sapio maintains a rare balance between elegance, creativity, and hospitality. Definitely worth a try.

06/10/2025: Going to Sapio is an experience in itself, and chef Alessandro Ingiulla, with his elaborate and sometimes seemingly simple creations, turns dishes into true delights. So if you want a different experience, book a table at Sapio.

21/09/2025: A very special atmosphere and exquisite dishes. We've rarely eaten so well! Pasta Norma—a must in Catania—and a swordfish fillet. It doesn't take much to make an evening unforgettable. The owner focuses heavily on local cuisine and ingredients, and the results prove her point.

17/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant five consecutive nights during my stay in Catania, but I gladly returned a day ago, and I can say it was an unforgettable experience. Each evening I sampled various typical Catanese and Sicilian dishes, freshly prepared with the freshest ingredients, enhanced by authentic cuisine rich in flavor, and generous portions. The culinary approach of the owner and her staff is to be appreciated, admired, and above all praised, as it showcases our typical Sicilian, and especially Catanese, products with a focus on quality and freshness. The restaurant is very charming and welcoming, but what makes it truly special is the family atmosphere: the owner is extremely kind and helpful, and, along with the chef, made me feel at home. After dinner, I enjoyed staying to chat with them, and this made every evening even more enjoyable and memorable. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Catania who wants an authentic Sicilian experience, filled not only with excellent food but also with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Dalla prima all'ultima portata, è stata un'esperienza culinaria che ha superato ogni aspettativa. L'atmosfera era semplicemente perfetta.

My guests and I were blown away by the deliciousness of all the dishes. A charming location and helpful staff. I will be back to sample the chef's dishes again.

I had the best granita of my life here (I recommend trying it, almond and mulberry!) and spent a truly pleasant break chatting with Cristian at the counter, super helpful and with a wonderful smile. Fresh and tasty products, stop by and treat yourself!

15/09/2025: I had the pleasure of having an excellent dinner with my family. Nothing to complain about. We were delighted with both the appetizers and the first courses. The ingredients were of the highest quality. The fish was incredibly fresh. We were served by a super kind and courteous woman who explained every dish in detail. We will definitely be back!!

11/09/2025: We had the Aperifish based on the reviews and it was very good. By Italian standards it was a large portion and we didn't even finish it all. It's more expensive, but considering the size of the portion, the drink and dessert included, it was a good experience. The service was fantastic. It's not for everyday visit, but if you want to have a very nice evening, you will definitely be satisfied here 🙂
