A must-try if you're vegan and visiting Catania.
I had an arancini with soy ragù, a spring onion, and a cartocciata with potatoes, olives, and vegan mozzarella: flavorful and just like the original. Finally, I tried the vanilla cannoli and a canestrello, which pleasantly surprised me; if I hadn't been so full, I would have eaten more.

02/10/2025: Amazing food. We got the horse rib and the pasta alla Norma. Both were great. It is a little pricey but you can get a discount with the fork app. Nice service.

20/09/2025: In this Catania restaurant, the food was good about fifteen years ago, like everywhere else. Hygiene was zero, food was just okay, and if you arrive after 1:00 PM, you have to wait at least twenty minutes, and there's no fish left. As for the wine, let's not even mention it's more of a packet than a grape. Let's talk about value for money; you can probably get a decent lunch for €13. (Not including fish.)

The owners don't speak English, but they try to communicate with their customers.
The food is fresh and delicious, the local wine is good, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend it.
07/10/2025: Truly an exceptional experience! At Hostaria del Faro, I enjoyed phenomenal fried fish: crispy, light, and with an irresistible seafood aroma—you could tell the fish was incredibly fresh. The service was impeccable, friendly, and attentive to every detail. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a quality lunch or dinner.

The food was absolutely nothing to complain about: tigelle and gnocco fritto arrived piping hot, accompanied by a wide selection of delicious sauces. We ordered a platter of freshly sliced cured meats and cheeses. Finally, the pulled pork tigellona was packed with toppings and had a delicate yet distinctive flavor! Perfect value! We'll definitely be back.
