17/07/2025: I celebrated my splendid wedding at Casa Modo. It was a wonderful event for both us, the bride and groom, and for our guests, who were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious, and the presentation was equally as delicious. The location is enchanting, and the professionalism of the staff is second to none, especially the director Franco Pappalardo and the maitre d' Giovanna, who, with their knowledge, organize the entire event, assisting the client from the choice of everything. The owners, Mr. Giovanni and his sister Emanuela, are extremely kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable in their field, and are happy to advise the bride and groom or clients on various events. Simply... everything is FANTASTIC!!!

04/07/2025: We detoured between Agrigento and Taormina to stop here for lunch and were so excited to try everything! The savoury pastries were delicious as were the cakes, biscuits & ice cream too. We even came back the next day after visiting Mt Etna (to bring our friends) and ate even more including almond granita with espresso and the canoli (wow!). Yummmmm!! I wish we had stayed in Catania just to eat here everyday. Wow! Traditional, no fuss Italian food made vegan. Yes please! Grazie Dolcezza ❤️ The staff were also very patient with our limited Italian and the prices were great!

26/06/2025: I wish there was an information in the store for foreigners saying that certain food is only available at certain times. I found it out the hard the way . Up to 11 you can only buy sweet pastries etc . From 11 you can buy savoury but everything might be sold out anyway by the time you get there lets say at 12. I wanted to stock up for my flight back home and I wasnt able to as I got there before 10 . They didn’t offer to bake me bun or two even tho they could’ve.I was there 3 days in the row. I really liked the stuffed savoury buns , donut , little pizzas were good too. Real shame is that no one tells you what’s available when and if at all

28/07/2025: Overall, a good lunch! The pistachio ravioli were delicious, as were the horse meatballs and the tomato pasta for our daughter. They also offered us mini cannoli at the end of the meal, which was much appreciated. Excellent service, super friendly.

17/07/2025: Thanks to Gaetano and his little cats for welcoming us. Very good meal. Gaetano was extremely warm and helpful. It's just a shame we couldn't eat outside because he was alone. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it.

17/06/2025: We were in this place last week, and what can I say, we were pleasantly surprised, everything was delicious, exquisite horse meat, very sweet and melted in the mouth, not to mention the desserts of unique goodness, in particular that evening we had a Strawberry Cheesecake (made by them, not industrial, and it is probably the best I have ever eaten, we will definitely be back!) Very good, keep it up

Eravamo in 8 persone e abbiamo preso gli antipasti per tutti (Erano 5 portate ma ci hanno omaggiato anche un sesto antipasto) Successivamente abbiamo ordinato 5 primi da dividere. Absolute perfection—crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and topped with just the right balance of cheese and fresh ingredients. You can tell this place is run by people who care about what they’re doing. If you’re in Catania, make this a must. It’s simple, honest food—but done at the highest level. 14/06/2025: A corner of authentic Sicily.. If you are looking for a restaurant that combines the taste of the sea with true Sicilian tradition, Blue Ice is a must. As soon as you sit down, you are immediately greeted by intense aromas and sincere smiles, those that only a cuisine made with love can convey. We started with two appetizers and followed by a second course of swordfish rolls, where each dish was characterized by the processing of the fish done with respect and imagination. All accompanied by an excellent white wine. A place that does not try to amaze with special effects, but conquers with quality, authenticity and passion. We will definitely return to try the pizza that from the appearance seemed very inviting. An added ingredient that should not be underestimated is certainly the competence of the staff, always friendly and attentive.

07/07/2025: A very good experience to start our stay at the foot of Mount Etna. The pizzas are varied, delicious, and plentiful. A very pleasant atmosphere made for a lovely evening. We will return to try the pasta.
