Deliziosa In Catania

Good restaurant in the city center, good portions and fresh ingredients. The staff is great and they speak both Italian and English. Fair prices too.

A Sunday lunch with friends, nostalgic for Sunday meatballs in tomato sauce and the bruschetta of the day (trust the chef), all topped off with an exquisite limoncello. Highly recommended, and I'll be back to try the "acqua u linzolu" pasta and the grilled octopus.

The food is undoubtedly good quality, the ingredients are fresh and balanced, there's a good selection of wines, and excellent craft beer. The dishes aren't abundant, but they're just the right amount. Unfortunately, and I'm sorry, since I'm aware of the work that goes into it, there are some drawbacks that prevent me from giving it five stars. Even though we'd booked days ago, our reservation vanished, and we had to wait, but fortunately, we finally got a table. I asked for a bread basket, and for €1.50, they brought us four breadsticks and two tiny sandwiches. One last concern: when it came to the bill, I kindly asked if they could offer me the amaro on display (because many places I've dined at do), but they told me I had to pay for it. I politely declined, thinking it might be a thoughtful gesture given the wait due to my vanished reservation. Everyone does their job as they see fit, but unfortunately, savoir faire isn't for everyone.

We ended up here by chance for dinner on our last day in Sicily. The restaurant was already quite full, but they still managed to find us a lovely table. The atmosphere was very cozy, and the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Gaston catered to all our needs and explained the dishes clearly. 100% recommended!

Excellent food, as well as wine. Friendly and helpful staff: Salvo is super! The location is also beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Catania.

The food is good, but the price, in my opinion, ends up being high because the dish itself is worth the price, but then with the drinks and service, the bill goes up to at least 15 euros. Keep in mind that if you're not a fan of fish, you'll have a hard time choosing a dish (most of the pasta dishes include it).

The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. If you're not sure where to go during your visit to Catania, I highly recommend this place!
