04/08/2025: This isn't anything new; rather, it's a confirmation, a guarantee of quality and courtesy that's been around for years since Carmelo's time. The atmosphere is familiar and informal. The fish, as always, is delicious, from the mixed seafood appetizer with calamari, oxeye, octopus, and shrimp to the grilled fish. The pasta with sea urchins is a staple, but the one with shrimp and cherry tomatoes is equally delicious.

01/08/2025: Located in Santa Maria la Scala in the Acireale area. You arrive and there's no real set menu; you pay based on what you order, especially the weight. In fact, when you enter, the first thing you see is the balcony with the daily produce, where you can choose your favorites. We had a seafood salad with shrimp, octopus, and oxeye, and it was excellent. The highlight was the first course, the linguine with magnosa, which was delicious, rich in shellfish and well-made. The mixed fried fish was good, but nothing special. The service, as far as the waiters were concerned, was all friendly and well-trained, but one downside was that we waited almost 40 minutes for the first course, and it wasn't very busy that evening. The price was very reasonable, considering our choices, which weren't cheap, so I found it fair.

14/04/2025: Unbelievable cannolis! Freshly filled with sweet ricotta and dipped in pistachios and chocolate. We also got delicious coffee and chocolate filled pastries. Such friendly and generous service too, I would go here every day if I could!

11/08/2025: An exceptional osteria, the dishes are plentiful and delicious. Busiate pasta is seasoned in various ways, perfectly done. The traditional appetizers are delicious. I stopped for the appetizer and first course because the dishes are truly enough to fill you up. The welcome is impeccable and friendly, I highly recommend going there.

10/08/2025: We booked for four at 9:30. We started with the mixed appetizers, which were served fairly quickly and were excellent. Then came an interminable wait of 1 hour and 40 minutes, during which all the tables seated after us finished their dinner. When asked where our dishes were (two pasta dishes, grilled calamari, and fried squid), they said they were cooking, and NOT a single apology was offered for the enormous and inordinate wait. The quality of these dishes was also mediocre, and the quantity was limited. Their terrible and arrogant attitude even accompanied the payment of the bill.

15/08/2025: Le terrazze del Santa Lucía fa parte del ristorante omonimo, ma sotto forma di bar. Anch’esso costoso, ma vale la pena sorseggiare un buon caffè affacciati totalmente sul mare, vedendo le onde infrangersi sugli scogli. I momenti migliori per andarci a parer mio sono la mattina per la colazione e al tramonto per un buon aperitivo. Varietà di prodotti, granite, cioccolate, frullati artigianali, tantissimi gusti di gelato. È anche consigliata la parte della pasticceria, che offre grande varietà di pasticcini, in particolare i cannoli al cioccolato o ancora di più al pistacchio.

02/08/2025: Fantastic restaurant, impeccable overall. We chose to dine here primarily for the sunset view, so we had high expectations, and they weren't disappointed in the slightest; in fact, they were exceeded! As for the food, we tried the raw fish appetizer and a seafood risotto, both delicious. Lastly, the service is beyond praise. The waiters were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful; we felt right at home!

13/08/2025: It's hard to eat badly in Sicily, especially if you're looking for local produce. The pane cunzato is good, but it's a shame about the price: €26 for a medium beer and a pane cunzato (which, let's be clear, is a topped frisella). I understand it's a tourist destination, but I find it excessive to exploit it like this. And don't complain if people don't come back.

13/08/2025: Maybe they know how to make seasoned bread, but unfortunately we ordered the Messina-style braciola sandwich, the saddest sandwich we've ever eaten. The bread was flatbread with the braciola in the middle, no seasoning, the bun was dry, and the braciola was almost raw and tasteless. When we asked for a little oil and pepper to flavor it, the arrogant owner got annoyed, and that's not good, because if you're in a hurry, make less.

29/06/2025: Well... I'm a little sad because I had heard good things about it. Yet the arancini were overcooked on the outside and the rice was overcooked. The ragù was good, but overall it wasn't enough.

26/07/2025: Very disappointed with the pizzas. One of our pizzas had no base (no tomato or cream) and was therefore dry. It was supposed to contain lemon, but I didn't find any at all. Also, too much arugula, which hides the flavor of the other ingredients. The dough, on the other hand, is excellent.

16/06/2025: I have been going to this restaurant for a couple of months and I am satisfied with the quality of the food, especially the dishes reserved for the all you can eat dinner, but lately the service has disappointed me a bit due to some rude behavior by a waitress; other than that, however, I recommend this place for a quality lunch or dinner!

17/07/2025: Questo ristorante è una vera e propria esperienza! Quando entri, sembra di salire a bordo di una nave: l'atmosfera è unica e affascinante, con un design che ti fa sentire come se fossi in viaggio. È uno dei miei posti preferiti, e ci vengo sempre volentieri, anche per l'asporto, perché il cibo è eccezionale. La qualità è sempre altissima, e anche quando prendo il cibo a casa, è sempre gustoso come se fosse appena uscito dalla cucina del ristorante. Inoltre, il locale è perfettamente climatizzato, il che è un vero toccasana, specialmente nei giorni di caldo estremo: dentro si sta sempre alla grande! Non posso che consigliare questo posto a chiunque voglia vivere una bella esperienza culinaria e godere di un ambiente fantastico.

02/07/2025: I contacted the owner by phone because I am not from the area and considering the little time available I chose blindly the pastry shop where to book my graduation cake. The owner was very kind because even though they were closed that day, he still accommodated me by personally bringing the cake to the place. He was very helpful and the ice cream cake was really delicious. I recommend it!

26/07/2025: Bella location sulla spiaggia di isola . Ma sempre un lido in legno . Locale spartano prodotti buoni ma i prezzi sono da ristorante stellato . Due antipasti misti €70 in 7 abbiamo pagato €330 un po’ troppo per il servizio tavolo in plastica e neanche volevano portare IV bicchieri di vetro .

24/07/2025: Abbiamo trovato questa location tramite google, e considerate le recensioni abbiamo voluto provare. I tre antipasti molto saporiti ma forse le quantità potevano essere Maggiori. I primi abbondanti, gustosi e ben conditi. Personale educatissimo e disponibile. Si ringrazia Vincenzo per i consigli sui piatti.

19/07/2025: Superbe et énorme carte de pizzas pour tous les goûts. Petite carte de plats à la viande ou au poisson. Les pizzas sont super originales et vraiment très très bonnes. Malheureusement le service n’est pas à la hauteur. Je n’ai jamais reçu la carte des vins après plusieurs demandes. On a fait le repas à l’eau, c’est dommage car c’est un manque à gagner pour le restaurateur.
