06/04/2026: This was an absolutely excellent meal, showcasing twists on Sicilian classics. The service is impeccable, excellent wine pairing and good value for such a high-end experience. Definitely one to visit if ever in Palermo.

05/04/2026: Do you really leave hungry? Spoiler: no. Last night we went to A'Cuncuma with the usual doubt that accompanies anyone approaching fine dining. The reality was very different. We chose the tasting menu with fewer courses, and by the end, we were more than satisfied. It's a different way of eating: it's not a trattoria-style portion, but a journey that, step by step, truly fills you up. A gastronomic journey that engages the senses and should be enjoyed slowly. In summary: - Satiety: don't be fooled by the aesthetics, by the end of the evening you'll be more than satisfied. - Memory: it's not just any old dinner; it's an experience that will stay with you forever. - Price: it's not cheap, but it's a "treat" worth giving yourself at least once. If you've never been, it's a shame you haven't tried it yet.

The food was also very good and of high quality, and the service was impeccable. I recommend this villa to everyone.

08/04/2026: Authentic Sicilian cuisine and excellent Nero d'Avolo! Dining with a view into the kitchen, regional food made with locally sourced ingredients. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, delighted by even a few words of Italian and a smile. The wine in the 2-liter plastic bottle is produced just around the corner and served in the Sicilian style. Because it was so fantastic (I'm a wine drinker, but not a wine snob), we bought a bottle to take home; at €8, I was almost embarrassed 😉. After two days, I have to add: We should have bought more. After two days exploring the island, we ran out of wine, and we didn't find anything better...

31/03/2026: The best part of Mr. Ingrao's focacceria is Mr. Ingrao himself. He's a wonderful person, and it's hard to put into words the kindness and genuine courtesy he showed us. He even offered us the panelle we'd ordered, and before we left, he offered us some ricotta cassatelle. If you order the sausage sandwich, I recommend skipping any sauce and simply adding a lettuce leaf. The sausage is excellent, and that touch of freshness really enhances it. Best regards, Mr. Ingrao, and best of luck to his two children, especially Giampiero for the Italian Cuisine Olympics (Mr. Ingrao told us about them). Unfortunately, tourists who don't speak Italian might miss out on part of this human experience. We'll be back to try the arancini. Greetings from Syracuse ❤️
