We totally understand why U Maccicuni has been rated the #1 restaurant in Favara. Not only were the food portions generous and delicious, but the entire dining experience was also lots of fun. The restaurant exuded a wonderful ambience with a definite local flair. It is always nice to have a highly satisfying meal while also feeling like special participants in the moment. The seemingly bottomless complimentary bottle of Amaro was a much appreciated and unexpected exclamation mark on the evening.

We had dinner a few nights ago in this beautiful place. The open kitchen and the owner's super friendly welcome immediately made us feel at ease. We had first courses, good and expertly prepared. Local oil with bread, boss bitters, local oranges and almonds are offered to us. What to say? A beautiful example of Sicilian hospitality and customer attention, absolutely recommended.

Everything was perfect, a friendly and warm little restaurant! The olive oil offered as a starter is delicious and the dishes (risotto and pork for us) were very good and in good quantity! Free digestive and all for a reasonable price.

Relaxed atmosphere inside, today it's too windy to have lunch in the large terrace overlooking the beautiful square.
At the table, before the drinks, the owner offers us some local oil to taste with the bread, sublime.
We opt for a quick lunch, but the selections of typical cheeses and cured meats stand out from the other tables. We will definitely be back.

Un favarese orgoglioso di se e della sua attività... Questo è Giuseppe il titolare del maccicuni. Ottima accoglienza, subito pane locale e olio locale, formaggi tipici, e poi due primi fatti veramente bene. Dolci di ricotta buoni... Prezzo più che onesto...

Sulla bella piazza di Favara, c'è questa rustica e ruspante trattoria con il suo insostituibile proprietario. Abbiamo mangiato un po' di tutto dal tagliere di formaggi e salumi siciliani, al pesce ma al primo posto metterei la caponata, piatto fatto con rara maestria. Servizio eccellente, però mi sarei aspettato un conto se pur in assoluto non eccessivo, leggermente più basso; comunque promosso
