14/09/2025: We were unsure to eat at first, because it was a little empty, but in fact I don’t understand why - the food was delicious and the service was nice. I ordered a tradicional dish, which was very very food. The amount as well. The carbonara was also very good. They had a discount on The Fork which is always helpful. Good ambience as well

28/04/2026: Disappointing. The ingredients on our pizza (ham and mushrooms) seemed to come out of a can. Not fresh. Absolutely not what a pizza should look like. The terrace was nice. That’s why we went in. No recommendation

10/10/2025: We had a reservation. They were slow to seat us. We wanted to sit on the terrace, but it was closed, even though the weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the view. We ordered prosecco, and they brought it flat. We asked them to change it for one with bubbles. They served us still prosecco again. We sent that back, and the waiter got agitated and raised his voice at us. I had to ask him to please lower his voice, as he was being disrespectful. Then the owner's wife came over. She was already upset because it seemed the waiter had told her what had happened. I thought she was coming to apologize, but far from it, she started ranting in Italian, saying she didn't have any more prosecco for us. When I asked her to please speak to us in English or Spanish, she told us in Italian, "NO! We're in Italy, and Italian is spoken here!" I've never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant, much less been treated so disrespectfully. We got up and left without dinner. A terrible experience! Awful service! And of the almost-owner whose behavior was truly aggressive...

No refrigerated trucks, no middlemen. Just the sea, every day. The atmosphere is that of a large family welcoming you into their home: sincere smiles, tables set with care but without excess, a slow, human pace that makes you feel immediately at ease. The Restaurant: When the Sea Comes to the Plate. The dining room, with its large windows overlooking the blue Strait of Messina, is the perfect place to be captivated. It's not written anywhere, it's not an "official" service, it's simply the genuine helpfulness of a family that wants to make you feel good. A small, great luxury that transforms an excellent dinner into a bespoke experience, as if you were a long-time guest. Final Verdict The Albergo Ristorante Bocche di Bonifacio is not a Michelin-starred restaurant with dim lighting and magazine-worthy table settings. It is something much rarer and more precious: a place where nature is the protagonist, the fish is the freshest, and the people treat you like family. If you're looking for authenticity, breathtaking views, top-quality seafood, and unpretentious hospitality, this is your place. Highly recommended. And when you return, feel free to ask for a change... they understand immediately. I will be back. And I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the real Sardinia.

07/06/2026: Expensive for what it is… Given the conflicting reviews (some 1 star, others 5), it must be related to the change of chef. We just had bad luck. (This review applies only to the restaurant)

07/10/2025: As soon as the owner said that they only serve water, beer or wine I knew I had come to the right place. Ignore the negative reviews, this place is perfect. Great food and you feel like you are sat in someone’s home. The restaurant is welcoming, warm and cosy. The food is comforting and the portions are very generous. It tastes like a family run restaurant and feels more authentic than many of the other restaurants that we have visited on the island. As a side note there is a great view from the car park.

14/09/2025: We went there with our dog, Lui, and had lunch three times. The food was delicious every time, the prices were reasonable, and the staff gave great advice on the menu and were very helpful.

16/06/2026: Quiet for the season, we spent eight nights and had a great time. Surrounded by nature. The beach is huge, perfect for long walks, and slopes down quickly to the sea. The campsite has new restrooms, hot water has never been lacking, and there's a wastewater and sewage disposal system. The water isn't drinkable; I've been told it comes from wells throughout the campsite. Drinking fountains are available. There's some construction going on at the moment, but it didn't bother us. Price per day in June: €31.75, tourist tax included. Dusty due to the sandy bottom, but very close to the beach. Unnumbered pitches with electricity hookups.

13/06/2026: First of all: Google thinks this is a hotel, but it is/was a campsite… We chose campsite Baia Paradiso because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, those are completely outdated and no longer apply if you come camping. On the positive side: The grounds are being completely renovated, with a beautiful toilet block and—when it is finished—surely a cozy square. However, it is no longer a campsite, but a chalet park under construction, or in other words, largely a construction site. There are no decent camping pitches left; all the nice spots have been taken by mobile homes and rental tents. There are still a few camping spots left, at a distance from the sanitary facilities. The remaining spots are very poorly leveled, small, and messy. (If they had been big enough, they would have put a mobile home there;-( When we arrived, we were greeted by bulldozers and a lot of noise from construction activities. We found a (too small) spot on the other side of the campsite, and fortunately, it was only for three nights. The roads on the site are very bad, with large potholes and pieces of root and branches sticking out. The toilet block is only accessible by making your way through loose sand between the trees. So, not suitable for people with mobility issues. The toilet block itself is neat, with a sink next to every toilet. Unfortunately, they forgot a U-bend here, causing it to smell quite strongly of sewage. The showers are a missed opportunity: Nice rain shower, without a push button, but unfortunately also without a partition, so your clothes get wet. An extra hook or shelf is also missing. About the square: You could have a nice lunch or a beer here, if it weren't closed in the afternoon. The restaurant is decent, although I would love to teach them how to make proper bruschetta sometime. makes ;-) Furthermore, there is a swimming pool, which is closed at the times when you need to cool down the most. There is security, but they are only there to tell you that you are not allowed in the water. In short: Once it is finished and the paint splatters have been removed, it will surely be a beautiful park, but unfortunately, you can no longer call it a campsite...

20/09/2025: Absolutely fantastic! Even though I don't speak Italian, the waiter went out of his way to speak to me in Spanish. He was incredibly kind and intelligent, the service was top-notch, and the place is magnificent. I give it a 1000! I was truly delighted, and if I return to Sardinia, I will definitely go back. It's magnificent!

29/09/2025: You pay for the views and the fame of the tiny village, which once belonged to a Spanish aristocrat. The pizza is mediocre, and don't even bother with the salad: 4 green leaves, 1 olive, and 1 anchovy for €15. I would only recommend it if you're really hungry, because the restaurant right next door charges double for any dish. In its favor, I will say that the waiter was friendly and the views of the calm sea are pleasant.

28/06/2026: Old brioche, tiny amounts of freshly squeezed orange juice served in a tiny glass for 5 euros. The place is decent, but the prices are incredibly high for the quality/quantity offered. A spritz costs 7 euros, not even a bag of crisps. UPDATE: cappuccino and croissant (INDUSTRIAL!): 5 euros! Welcome to Monte Carlo!

14/07/2026: The portions could be bigger, the lamb wasn't cooked, the burrito was good, the hambi two stars. There were so many people in the restaurant they couldn't handle it. I only recommend it in case of extreme necessity. The lady serving was kind and tried to save the unsaveable.

10/07/2026: Not recommended, we had doner kebab and 2 fries, so they had to heat the meat in the microwave and the bread rolls etc. were absolutely awful.

17/03/2026: As always, I'm traveling for work. I'm looking for places to eat. Honestly, I was referred to this place by a colleague who already knew it. I have to say that despite the name, it's much more than a bar. It's an excellent restaurant that offers a small but quality menu. I think it changes every day. I had the linguine with zucchini and shrimp, which was very generous in portion and seasoning. Very, very good. And judging by the cooking and the waiting time, the pasta was cooked to order. The tagliata with baked potatoes was also very tasty. The menu featured fish dishes that I will try in the future. I think it's a great place for lunch during a work break. It offers meals of a higher quality than you'd expect from a place like this. The quality/price ratio is also excellent. Well done, 5 ⭐️ ++
