01/07/2026: We grabbed a bite to eat here for lunch as we were travelling across from Alghero to Olbia. Worth the detour. After the usual smiles at my appalling Italian and clarifying that we were English not American we asked for four meat pies (panadas), 2 formagelli (mini baked cheesecakes) and 2 barchetta (little boat shaped pastries). The lady behind the counter checked if we eating the pies straight away or keeping them for later. When we said "now" she disappeared into the back and brought out fresh, hot pies. We ate them outside in the sun - they were absolutely delicious - quite different to English pork pies; different spice mix, lighter pastry and no jelly. Although I could have scoffed the second immediately, I was persuaded by my partner that actually one was enough. The other pastries were also very tasty.

12/05/2026: The pancakes were delicious. They didn't have any available at the time, but we were able to order and come back half an hour later. Highly recommended!

19/07/2026: I'm going to write a very long review because words aren't enough to describe this restaurant. We went there four days in a row with reservations. Imagine, you're in Italy and you wait until the end of each day to go to our favorite steakhouse. The food is fantastic. They're top-notch when it comes to meat. Even better, I met wonderful people; Piero. You are a very special person. He treated us like guests in the city. Of course, we're used to the prices in touristy places. The prices at Su Masellu are incredibly reasonable.
