29/06/2025: I find myself reluctantly changing the review I posted 5 years ago from 5 stars overall to 3 stars. The last few times I went, unfortunately, the service became extremely slow, the dishes arrived too late and too slowly between one dish and the next. The quality of the food overall also seems to have worsened in the face of continuous price increases. I suggest strengthening the kitchen's capacity as I imagine they are under pressure. We started eating at 9:30 pm and got up after 11 pm with little satisfaction.

24/06/2025: .... I went there last night for the first time... terrible service... nothing ever arrived, incredibly slow... and when something did arrive the plate wasn't even complete! Oh no! If I order salmon sashimi and it says 6 pieces you can't serve 4! It was like that for everything... Meh! Damn me who can count! I'll never go back!

20/08/2025: We stopped by chance, inspired by the excellent reviews, and found extraordinary people and the best pasticciotto I've ever eaten, with an exceptional pastry in my opinion... The Bar del Porto is one of those places you absolutely want to return to soon!

05/08/2025: A bit on the high side, but the food was very good and of high quality. We had the antipasti, which was a real surprise: after the obligatory basket of grissinis and bread, came some fried olives. At first, we thought it was a total tourist rip-off. Instead, we were greeted with a flood of plates of all kinds of appetizers, mostly seafood, all beautifully presented and delicious. We couldn't finish the plate of grilled meat we ordered as a second course.

03/07/2025: Beautifully located in the center, with beautifully set tables. The appetizer mix is ​​recommended; it's enough to fill you up. 12 (if we counted correctly) different small appetizers with fish, cheese, and meat. Reasonable prices. We felt a bit sorry for the waiter, who had to serve all the tables alone and was constantly running around.

06/07/2025: The first time we were during an organized event and we were very satisfied. The place is very beautiful so we decided to return for a dinner. And this is where the disappointment comes! Mediocre dishes, poor quantity, poor presentation but above all prices too exaggerated for what we actually ate. Disappointment.

05/08/2025: My favorite place to have dinner during our time in Puglia! An extremely nice family running an authentic restaurant. The food was delicious, the people were super friendly and even though they didn't speak a lot of English, they really did their best to explain the different appetisers. We went around 7pm and even though they are not used to have customers 'that early', they immediately made shure we had a table and started preparing the food.

23/08/2025: As soon as I arrived at Villa Kailia, I immediately felt welcomed. The place is meticulously maintained, immersed in nature, with an elegant yet never overly formal atmosphere. The food is top-notch: carefully crafted dishes, authentic flavors, and surprising pairings. But what really makes the difference is the service. Aldo and his staff are incredible: kind, attentive, and make you feel important without ever being overbearing. It's one of those places where you sit down, relax, and never want to leave. I'll definitely be back.

17/08/2025: We spent a perfect Ferragosto (August 15th) at Villa Kailia, immersed in the Apulian countryside. The location is welcoming and relaxing, ideal for an outdoor summer lunch. The menu was extensive and well-curated, featuring hearty and delicious traditional Apulian dishes, from the mix of rustic appetizers to the desserts. The service was friendly and attentive, and the owner, Aldo, made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for those looking for a genuine, convivial Ferragosto (August 15th) filled with authentic flavors.

11/08/2025: Getting a table can be a bit tricky, but once you have one, it’s worth the wait! The appetizers were delicious and the rice balls with cheese and tomato are a well worth recommendation. They were fully booked, but we never had to wait long for our food. The pizza here is also exquisite and it’s the best I’ve eaten in Italy so far. We were shocked when we got the bill because we had to pay so little for appetizers, main course and dessert! I'd highly recommend this restaurant.,

11/08/2025: Both the pizza and appetizers are excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Be prepared, though, as the wait can be very long (up to 45 minutes) as they don't accept reservations. The view is breathtaking; I recommend going at sunset.

25/08/2025: I went there with a couple of friends last week, and I had one of the best burgers I've ever had, washed down with a magnificent smoked beer! Very nice place, away from the chaos. Friendly staff! I'll be back :)

17/08/2025: A beautiful location surrounded by nature, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the restaurant. For the prices, we expected better quality... everything was good, but not particularly good. The waiter who served us (the guy in his 30s) wasn't friendly and didn't know how to deal with customers; he was cold and inhospitable, and above all, he was a bit confused about what he was supposed to do/clear the table. Vito, on the other hand, was very kind and friendly (he knows how to treat a customer), but when he wasn't serving us, there was confusion. In my opinion, "La Strada" isn't worth it. We tried it out of curiosity, but we won't be returning.

16/08/2025: Within the Tenute Albano estate, the only dining option is the Don Carmelo restaurant. This might initially seem limited, but it turns out to be a pleasant surprise. The quality is truly high, as is evident in the dishes: generous and rich platters, fresh and carefully selected ingredients, generous portions, and a wide variety of pasta, meat, fish, and appetizers. During our evening, two live singers performed Albano and Romina's songs with great talent, making the atmosphere even more engaging and enjoyable. This added value made the dinner special. The prices are quite high, but in line with the quality and overall experience the restaurant offers. Definitely recommended for those staying at the estate and looking to enjoy a refined dinner in a charming setting.

17/07/2025: I went to this restaurant last year and had a decent meal. We decided to return, but since there wasn't enough room for three, they told us to come back in 10 minutes and they'd save a table for us. When we returned, as agreed... the table was already taken! Terrible organization and a truly unfriendly owner!!

11/07/2025: We stopped for lunch before heading to the airport, since it's a 15-minute drive away. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was really good. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it.
