12/04/2026: In the heart of Nardò's historic center lies this delightful little traditional Salento restaurant, which has become a firm favourite with me. This is my third visit, and each time it lives up to my expectations... or rather, exceeds them! The location is simply perfect, with meticulous attention to detail and an authentic atmosphere that immediately immerses you in tradition. The food is exceptional: traditional dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients, authentic flavors that express Salento in every course. The service is always attentive and friendly, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable. Everything here is perfect: from the welcome to the quality of the dishes, to the ambience. I will definitely return again and recommend it to everyone.

16/02/2026: We chose this trattoria to spend Valentine's Day with a group of friends, and I must say it's a beautiful and delicious trattoria in the center of town. It's tastefully decorated, the service excellent, and the menu is very inviting, offering a wide variety of unique dishes from our Salento cuisine, revisited and beautifully presented. Above all, we tried the various appetizers, from the excellent cheese platter to the vegetables and typical dishes cooked according to Salento culinary traditions, including delicious "pittule Salentine," homemade potato croquettes, special fried meatballs, and delicious first and second courses—all of which allowed us to sample a variety of delicacies. I must say that all the dishes we chose were of excellent quality, both in terms of the use of high-quality and fresh ingredients, the excellent selection of wines, and finally, a delicious dessert. A key aspect of this trattoria is that the kitchen is on the first floor, thus separate from the lunch and dinner area. This ensures that the downstairs dining room, where service takes place, is clean and free of kitchen odors. Therefore, you can leave after lunch or dinner without getting your clothes smelly. This is a key aspect of this place. I highly recommend it.

27/12/2025: Everything was very good! From the service to the food. Minimal wait. I had pizza and my wife had baked sea bass, both delicious! We had a portion of fries with caciocavallo fondue while we waited, and they were delicious, although I would have preferred more caciocavallo. Upon arrival, they also gave us an entrée of stale bread with oil, oregano, and garlic, all delicious!

16/11/2025: Their Pinsa Romana was a real taste experience: The dough was airy and napoli tasty, the base was roman-crispy and the bite impressively, just authentic as the friendly pizza baker owner. Highly recommended - ideal in best near to the beach.

13/04/2026: I stayed at the Hotel Excelsior Bari for 2 nights and overall found it disappointing for a property advertised as a 4-star hotel. The room was very basic, with cheap-looking furnishings and only a small window, which made the space feel dark and not particularly comfortable. The biggest issue, however, was the bathroom: no window and no ventilation, which made it unpleasant to use. Air conditioning or ventilation was not available during my stay, which is simply not acceptable at this level. What was more frustrating was the inconsistent communication from staff. When I first reported the issue by phone, I was told the AC would be activated. The next day at reception, I was told it would be increased after complaining again. Later in the day another staff member clarified that the AC could not be turned on at all due to seasonal restrictions. This lack of transparency was disappointing. That said, the staff were otherwise friendly and helpful with check-in, check-out, and arranging taxis. The location is convenient, right next to the train station and within walking distance of the city center. However, the immediate surrounding area is quite dirty and feels less safe than other parts of Bari, so there is a clear trade-off. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, particularly for families or anyone expecting a comfortable 4-star experience.

The restaurant is a real highlight: the food is excellent, incredibly fresh, and truly delicious. Special kudos to the kitchen staff, who are simply fantastic! The prices are fair and reasonable. I highly recommend this property to everyone: the location is central and very convenient as a base for exploring Puglia on day trips. We'll definitely be back!

05/12/2025: I'll start by saying this isn't a pizzeria I frequent regularly. I'm very proud of the contemporary pizza, but the classic remains the best. Excellent, digestible pizza, cooked to perfection. A must-try in the Taranto province.

10/10/2025: One of the best pizzerias ever! The dough is light and easy to digest, with perfect leavening and the highest-quality ingredients. Every bite exudes flavor and authenticity, a sign of great attention to detail and tradition. The staff is friendly, fast, and always smiling, and the welcoming atmosphere makes dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for both those who love the classic Margherita and those who want to try more unique flavors, and I recommend the Mario Rosé Tuna and Onion. Excellent value. Definitely worth a try! 🍕👏
