09/10/2025: The food was good, I didn't particularly like the place, the open kitchen was a good thing, the service was excellent

02/10/2025: The first thing that strikes you about this place is its beauty. Meticulous attention to detail, both inside and out, with eye-catching decorations and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in another country. It's comfortable, welcoming, and truly enjoyable: their real strength, in my opinion, is the unique atmosphere they've created. Furthermore, the youthful music in the background created a lively and dynamic atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the evening. The food is excellent, but the octopus sandwich deserves a special mention: simply delicious, absolutely worth trying. A dish that alone is worth the visit!

07/09/2025: A truly beautiful place in the countryside near Otranto. We went for lunch and had a wonderful meal: appetizers, first courses, and second courses, all cooked with passion and very tasty. The owners are exquisite and helpful, and in love with their work and their bees. 😊👏🐝🐝🐝🐝 Recommended.

21/09/2025: Roadside restaurant with a magnificent view of the sea and the surrounding area. Exceptional food with very fresh produce. The friendliness of the staff is a big plus for the establishment. We had a very pleasant time and will return!

20/09/2025: We were on the way and stopped for lunch. We ordered cheeses and bruschetta, then two first courses: orecchiette and tomato ravioli, and a tiramisu. The tiramisu portion was a bit small. Prices were a bit high. The owners were helpful and friendly.

08/10/2025: Good, fresh, and authentic food can be found in many places, if you're lucky. Opera is a surefire example, as is the courtesy expressed at all times—a word that sums up the choice and style. We were celebrating an important event for us, and the restaurant made us feel right at home with its simplicity and attentiveness. We'll be back.

05/10/2025: Everything was superlative! Pleasant atmosphere, excellent food, and impeccable service. The waiters Sebastian and Otilia were especially kind, attentive, and open, contributing greatly to a wonderful experience. You can feel the care for details and respect for the customers. 01/10/2025: We stumbled upon this truly fantastic place today. Just above Mattinata, a breathtaking view of the sea and olive groves (it's a shame about the rain, but the view was beautiful nonetheless). Lunch included an excellent plate of orecchiette allo scoglio (seafood orecchiette) and a homemade dessert made with almonds and lemon cream. Excellent. The welcome was extraordinary, the people were kind and cheerful. I highly recommend it.

25/09/2025: I highly recommend Scarpetta D'oro. This simply enchanting place offers a view of the beautiful Mattinata and its fantastic sea. The atmosphere excites and makes you enjoy lunch or dinner from the moment you arrive. Spacious yet intimate. I want to give a special compliment to the owner, who is very polite, kind, friendly, and above all professional. The food is a culinary adventure. We obviously had seafood for lunch. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the dishes were well-proportioned, allowing you to savor the true flavor of the sea. There was no wait. We were welcomed and pampered until the very end. I highly recommend this place. I will be back very soon and will definitely return many times.

04/10/2025: Ordered a platter for €25. Enough for two. Everything was delicious and tasty. Highly recommended.

29/09/2025: We asked for an aperitivo at 7:45 PM, but they told us it was outside of aperitivo hours. So we ordered some focaccia, and they brought us a tiny piece cut into quarters. The spritz had too much alcohol, and the prices were high for the quality and quantity of the products we tried.

10/09/2025: A quiet place to relax and enjoy a delicious dinner. The two of us ordered the tasting menu of cooked and raw fish. I have a dairy protein intolerance, so they brought me an excellent alternative for each course. Everything was excellent: the quality of the dishes is superb, the atmosphere intimate and cozy, and the owner kind and attentive to every request. The wine list is excellent, a value not to be underestimated. Highly recommended.

13/07/2025: We had a wonderful meal at Osteria Due Mari in Taranto! The orecchiette with turnip greens and mussels were exceptional—flavorful, well-balanced, and authentic. The sautéed mussels were also delicious, with the perfect seasoning. A traditional and welcoming restaurant with truly excellent cuisine—highly recommended! My husband said: "I finally found Taranto mussels!"

First mixed grill, where not only did I eat all the livers, but I wanted more. Very nice outdoor location with a view of the domes of the main church. We'll return for lunch to try the first courses.
