21/10/2023: Attracted by the photos of the fish dishes we came to this cold place, the menu is very basic (pasta with meat sauce, pesto, grilled sausage, breaded chicken, nothing special), and there is not a hint of fish, the maintenance of the place leaves a lot to be desired, furthermore there is no menu, you cannot know the price in advance. We did not sign up for any fixed price menu, as we were not informed by the waiter (there is no menu or signs displayed), we phoned for information, but no one answered, we sent 2 first courses back, we were not I would return.

15/06/2024: Agriturismo vicinissimo a Casale Monferrato, è semplice e rispecchia l'ambiente di un'azienda agricola. Si mangia in un locale ampio senza fronzoli. Provato in una cena a menù fisso, ho apprezzato la qualità delle materie prime, assolutamente buone e gustose. Molto buoni i vini.

07/07/2024: Ed eccoci alla seconda visita all’Antico pioppo, da Carolina in quel di Santena, nei pressi di Torino, famosa per la produzione di asparagi e per il Palazzo e la tomba del conte Camillo Benso di Cavour. Dopo avere rigorosamente prenotato, eccoci al pranzo che ha come protagonista il celebre piatto piemontese: il gran Fritto misto. Sono 24 / 25 portate tra carne, verdura, frutta e dolci, rigorosamente impanati e fritti in olio rovente: ottimi per cottura, fragranza e croccantezza, non unte e eseguite in maniera perfetta. Certo non è stata un pranzo dietetico anche perché le porzioni sono veramente abbondanti, ma da tutti apprezzato: una particolarità, che non avevo mai visto prima inserita nel Fritto Misto, sono state le cosciette di rana, di dimensioni generose e quindi ricche di carne da spolpare. Un’ottimo pranzo anche se, per adesso, non voglio più sentire parlare di fritto misto per almeno sei mesi. La prossima visita all’ Antico Pioppo sarà per il menù “tutto asparagi”, di cui Santena è uno dei maggiori produttori nazionali e dove , ogni anno, si tiene la Sagra dell’Asparago. (Quest’ anno ha avuto luogo dal Dal 17 al 26 maggio 2024 L'asparago di Santena presenta turioni con apice appuntito e di colore verde intenso, con sfumature violacee, ha una lunghezza media di 22 cm. e la parte colorata comprende circa il 65% della lunghezza totale. Quindi…..arrivederci alla prossima….!!!!

Poor pizzas starting from both normal and wholemeal dough, burnt ingredients, cooking that dried out the pizzas making them inedible. All this after a very long wait of an hour's delay, no response from the pizzeria and no apology from the rider. Negative experience, we will not order again, first and last time

24/06/2024: Described by everyone as a top pastry shop, I had a cake made for a birthday. I'll start by saying that perhaps they will specialize in other types of cakes, but I specifically requested a cheesecake. I had to pick it up there on Sunday because they were closed on Monday...my birthday. First of all, the disappointment in picking it up... it looked like a homemade cake... I had asked for decorations... there were barely 4 flat flowers... there was nothing like the cheesecake, the worst thing was the poor impression at the party... the cake was all cracked, probably they hadn't used gelatine... the base was difficult to cut... the cream was all melted... what a terrible impression. I would have preferred more correctness and rather advice on which cake I could choose to have a better result.... I would have chosen the best solution. What a disappointment .. I made a terrible impression

24/06/2024: Da tutti descritta come pasticceria top, ho fatto fare la torta per un compleanno . Premetto che magari saranno specializzati in altre tipologie di torte, io nello specifico ho richiesto una cheesecake. Ho dovuto ritirarla là domenica, perché il lunedì.. giorno del compleanno erano chiusi. Innanzitutto tutto la delusione nel ritirala.. sembrava una torta fatta in casa…avevo richiesto decorazioni.. a malapena c’erano 4 fiori piatti.. nulla aveva della cheesecake, cosa peggiore la figuraccia alla festa… la torta si presentava tutta crepata, probabilmente non avevano utilizzato la colla di pesce.. la base era difficile da tagliare.. la crema tutta sciolta.. che pessima figura. Avrei preferito più correttezza e piuttosto un consiglio su quale torta potevo scegliere per avere un risultato migliore …. Avrei scelto la soluzione migliore. Che delusione .. Ho fatto una pessima figura
