25/09/2025: Il Caimano Felice is a historic brewery in Mondovì, founded in 1982 by husband and wife team Sandro and Franca Beltrand, who transformed it into a local landmark. Irish-inspired and located in Breo, it has stood out for its authenticity and passion since its inception: not just any brewery, but a place combining quality beer, music, and conviviality. Sandro, fondly remembered by generations of Mondovì residents, gave Il Caimano a soul, leaving an indelible mark on the community. Today, the establishment is managed by Mattia Jimbo Manassero, a reliable and dedicated man, along with two other people: an experienced, friendly, and approachable team, who carry on this legacy with dedication. The brewery maintains its intimate atmosphere, spread across two floors and featuring an outdoor terrace. It is within walking distance and welcomes guests until late at night. Its blue facade makes it easily recognizable in the small square, near the parking lots on Corso Statuto. The venue also stands out for its connection to music: over time, it has hosted live events and befriended many musicians who have become regulars. Inside, you can still admire a rich collection of vinyl records and cassettes, a testament to the passion for rock, blues, and jazz. The venue offers a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for spending evenings with friends. Soft lighting and a relaxed atmosphere invite you to linger and enjoy a good beer, with a selection to suit even the most discerning palates. A space dedicated to musical performances gives the Caimano an extra edge, hosting evenings with local artists and bands. On Christmas Eve, December 24th of each year, it has become a tradition for many Mondovì residents to gather here, confirming the deep bond between the venue and the community. Despite being lively and vibrant, it remains important to visit with respect, restraint, and caution, given the reports of tense incidents. A little personal anecdote: I left my gloves there, but I don't mind; as Freud said, we forget things in places where we feel comfortable. Il Caimano Felice is more than just a brewery: it's a piece of Mondovì history, a place that unites generations, music, and passion, and one that deserves to be preserved and honored.

09/08/2025: Generous and well-presented aperitifs, pleasant atmosphere I've been to To Eat several times for aperitifs, and I must say the experience has been very positive overall. The aperitif is generous and beautifully presented, with tasty pizzas and light fried foods that aren't at all heavy or cloying. You can sense the attention to quality and care put into the dishes. The cocktails are generally good and well-made, although, it must be said, they aren't always identical: sometimes they're excellent, other times a little less impressive. However, they're still pleasant and well-mixed. Even the off-menu items, like tigelle, are truly well-made and served with attention to detail. The place has a welcoming atmosphere and is comfortable to be in, although at busier times the interior space can feel a bit limited. Another small point that could be improved concerns the outdoor tables: some are slightly wobbly, and, being made from loosely joined wooden slats, they make it difficult to place glasses and stemware. That said, it remains a recommended place for those looking for a good aperitif in a refined and convivial atmosphere.

03/09/2025: Truly excellent, the welcome spritz was much appreciated, and then we moved on to the vast selection of meats. Not being connoisseurs, we took advice from the guys who really care. From the Black Angus onion bread to the super-crunchy fries, what can I say, a truly top-notch experience in every way. As for the price, I absolutely don't think this place is overpriced for the variety and quality these guys offer.

16/03/2025: Small and intimate place, great quality of alcohol. I've been here twice just to drink in the evening, I hope to stop by for dinner/aperitif. The Bee Queen non-alcoholic €6 was very good (you can't pay €6 for a non-alcoholic anywhere with their quality), I had a slightly fruity gin (I don't remember the name) which went down wonderfully. Recommended to everyone

La grande pietra all'interno della sala, attorno alla quale è stata costruita la baita, ci conduce immediatamente in un ambiente tipicamente montanaro, La cucina serve piatti tradizionali, ma le materie prime eccellenti danno a questi piatti un sapore in più: quello dell'autenticità, della passione e della tradizione. Serviti da ragazze gentili, sorridenti e premurose, sarete consigliati dal patron, l'appassionato Andrea. Un'esperienza gustativa da non perdere se vi trovate in zona.

09/11/2025: Located outside the center of Casale Monferrato, this restaurant is highly recommended for its simplicity, the kindness of the staff, and above all for its devastating first courses, made with homemade pasta (I had the pappardelle with venison and berries, my partner the agnolotti, and my friend the tagliatelle with chestnut flour and pumpkin). We fell in love!
