13/05/2025: When I'm in Messina, Amici Miei is a must. The cozy atmosphere invites conversation and relaxation. The menu renews Sicilian tradition with a contemporary twist and all the dishes I've tasted so far have been truly tasty and balanced. You can feel the care in every dish, from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation. The selection of local wines is also excellent and noteworthy. Arturo is a true host, always attentive, friendly and with that genuine sympathy that immediately puts you at ease. The atmosphere is warm and familiar and the attention to the customer is above average; a value that, in my opinion, really makes the difference.

The "cover" at the cost of 2 euros is absolutely worth the price because the tables are set very well (and not like those places where for the same price they put tablecloth and paper napkins). The best I tried in the area!!!

02/06/2025: Amazing location. You can enjoy excellent fresh fish dishes right on the cliff. The well-prepared dishes and first choice food are served impeccably in a family atmosphere. I love eating on the outside terrace 1 MT from the sea. Inside the restaurant you can admire an offshoot of the seabed where you can admire fish, molluscs and shells. Very suggestive. An oasis where you can restore your palate and spirit! Highly recommended!!!!

02/06/2025: On the advice of the hotel where we stayed, we chose La Maidda for our dinner and the decision was never more appropriate. My partner and I, after seeing the generous portions, decided to share an appetizer (fried cappuccetti), a first course (busiate with red Mazara prawns, cherry tomatoes and chopped pistachios) and a second course (grilled tuna accompanied by Sicilian salad with tomato, olives, anchovies and onion)...all accompanied by half a liter of house wine. I swear that we finished everything on the plates not because we were hungry but because they were so good that it would have been a real shame. Dry fried food, really well-seasoned pasta, very fresh tuna... we didn't try dessert because we were really full. I highly recommend it!

13/05/2025: A lunch for two. Restaurant located a few minutes from the Paceco-Trapani salt mines. Well-kept interiors. We tried the tasting of appetizers, excellent for two people, as well as being abundant there is the quality of the products; a well-balanced combination of raw materials. You immediately notice the passion in cooking each individual dish. The first courses were very good; both spaghetti with squid ink with shrimp tartare, and the pacchero alla Lampedusana (SUPER) ordered on the advice of the young and professional (Chiara); Attentive service and in the right times. We will definitely return to try other dishes and to say hello to Nemo in the aquarium 😜 5 well-deserved stars. Ps: the bread with squid ink and fennel Exceptional.

31/05/2025: We really enjoyed visiting La Caravella while on holiday in Taormina. Our hotel recommended it to us and arranged for their shuttle to come and collect us. This was great as we later found out that taxis to go down the hill from La Taormina are extremely expensive. We were very warmly greeted and offered a pick of sun loungers. This excellent service continued all day, with the waiters and beach boys quick to offer any help or service you required. The beach is stony with small pebbles so bring water shoes or flip flops. This place is clean and well maintained but does not have the glossy chic ( or cost!) of some fancy beach bars which are perhaps for younger people more interested in a party vibe, but the service and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for. A great team of people supervised by a hands-on, friendly proprietor. The highlight of the day was the food. Julio recommended the daily specials on both of our visits, and both were outstanding. They have a very talented chef for sure. I have never tasted tuna steak so moist and flavoursome. The pasta with fresh anchovies prepared Sicilian style was also delicious. There are also much plainer offerings on the menu. The shuttle bus returned us to our hotel at the end of the day. Thoroughly enjoyable day and I highly recommend.

25/05/2025: We went in two, busiate alla trapanese very good, ditto for the tagliolini with squid ink with stracciatella and shrimp tartare. For the second course we ordered a soup. Unfortunately everything was slightly too salty, the soup was very salty. Overall the quality of the ingredients was excellent and the taste of the fish delicate. Excellent service, very friendly

30/05/2025: Comida estupenda, de calidad y a un precio razonable. El único inconveniente fue esperar mucho entre el primero y el segundo. Era un domingo y había varias mesas con comidas familiares. Probablemente eso complicó las cosas en cocina, pero 45 minutos entre plato y plato es excesivo

27/05/2025: This was the best meal we had in all of Sicily! We had the parmesan crisp with artichokes and potatoes as an appetizer, and for our meal we had black cod, sea bream with lemon, and black Angus burger. We also asked if they would make a spaghetti with olive oil and garlic dish for us to share (so simple but so delicious). If I was staying here another night, we would come back as we wanted to try the platter of fried fish and meat that we saw every table getting!

20/05/2025: I went here in April 2025 for dinner. I did not know that the restaurants in Sicily don't open until 7p.m., so different than USA. The seafoods I ordered was okay. It's actually kinda bland for me. The mixed vegetables were a little bitter for my taste. Both seafoods and veggies were grilled. Kind of bland for me. I use lots of herbs and spices when I cook my foods. The meat that the other customers ordered looked good though; maybe I should have ordered that instead. However, I just wanted to try the seafoods because they're close to the ocean and I don't eat those often back in our country. The cafe latte tasted awesome! The service was okay; nothing so special but I still gave tip. Welcoming place. I kind of did not like though when men were standing outside the entrance. I think they're chatting and smoking while standing out there that night. It made me feel uncomfortable as they looked at me when I went out.

27/05/2025: 5 stars deserves it all!! We celebrated my baby's baptism everything was really very nice and elegant at the same time, our menu included fried appetizers and pizza. (tasty good pizza) their wood-fired oven in sight is wonderful 🤩 A thank you goes to Mr. LA ROSA and the staff because finding kind and helpful people today is not easy. I RECOMMEND GOING TO EAT AT GRACE RESTAURANT.
