28/07/2026: A truly positive experience. We spent a day at this wonderful facility. The staff were friendly (both in the restaurant and on the loungers) and, above all, the quality of service was top-notch. They are very attentive to various allergies and food intolerances. The dishes were very tasty and the atmosphere was welcoming. Special mention goes to the bar lady's frozen drinks!!! I recommend the salt-baked fish (filleted on the spot) to everyone.

28/07/2026: Great location, nice restaurant, terrible and rude service. They get two stars for refunding our money though, as we were almost kicked out after asking for different sunbeds than the ones we were allocated. We ended up going to the neighboring place, which welcomed us and where we had a great time all day 🙏🏻

14/07/2026: I'd definitely give it a 5-star rating. The place is perfect, simple, well-maintained, and the staff are helpful. The dinner was perfect, the gluten-free food was perfect, and it's one of the few places that doesn't charge a gluten-free supplement. Highly recommended.

06/08/2026: I had dinner last night, and given so many reviews, I expected more. I'd give it a 6 because the house appetizer was good but not excellent for a seafood restaurant. The same goes for my linguine with scorpion fish, where the fish and pasta were unrelated. I pointed out to the waiter that the scorpion fish was unsalted, unlike the pasta and sauce, which means they weren't sautéed together. My wife's seafood risotto was good. Excellent desserts, which aren't their own. Furthermore, paying €18 for a peppered mussel dish, given the cost and the quantity, seems excessive.

Every dish was impeccably delicious, the wine was simply amazing, and the sea view made the atmosphere truly special. Each course was carefully crafted, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that showcase the local tradition. The wine pairing was well thought out and made the experience even more special. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was attentive and professional. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true gastronomic experience in Cetara. I'll definitely be back!

05/12/2025: We were guests at Hotel Poseidon and made a reservation at Il Tridente expecting a safe, professional dining experience. Instead, my family endured an incident that could have killed my son, paired with some of the worst behavior I have ever witnessed from a manager in hospitality. We clearly informed the staff that my son has a nut allergy. Despite this, they placed a starter breadbasket on our table with no explanation whatsoever—and it contained nuts. My son took a bite, unknowingly. Only 20 minutes later did a waiter return with a “nut-free” basket and admit the first one had nuts. We had not been told, warned, or advised at any point. I raced up the entire property—multiple elevators and several flights of stairs—to grab his emergency medication. Anyone familiar with allergies knows that within minutes, this mistake could have become deadly. My son’s life was put at risk because the staff failed one of the most basic responsibilities of a restaurant. But what made this experience truly appalling was the manager. His behavior was not just unprofessional—it was shockingly rude, dismissive, defensive, and outright hostile. As I explained what had happened, he repeatedly cut me off, raised his voice, and insisted his staff “would never” make such an error. He acted as if I was the problem for daring to bring up a life-threatening mistake. The waiter himself then stepped in and admitted the truth, proving the manager wrong. Even after being confronted with the facts, the manager still showed zero remorse. No apology. No concern. No accountability. Not even basic human decency while I was shaking and trying to ensure my son was safe. His attitude added a level of emotional distress that was completely unnecessary during an already terrifying situation. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, this was an absolute disgrace. Mistakes can happen—but the way management chooses to handle them reveals everything about an establishment. And this manager showed a level of arrogance and indifference that is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone one where guests’ lives are at stake. I will never return, and I strongly warn any family with food allergies—or anyone who expects even minimal respect or compassion—to avoid this restaurant entirely. No parent should have to fight with a manager while fearing for their child’s safety.

05/05/2026: So nice place! Very quite, beautiful area. I would say hidden gem. There is very nice walking path along the beach next to the restaurant. Not expensive in comparison to others. Very friendly staff! We visited twice during one weekend:)

09/08/2026: Found it by chance and it exceeded all expectations! The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. The dishes are amazing, but the scialatiello allo scoglio deserves an honorable mention: one of the best dishes I've ever had. You can immediately taste the high quality of the ingredients. I highly recommend it.

06/07/2026: I believe this restaurant has new owners and a new menu and this is their first summer season under the new ownership. There is tons of potential here and I would return. I believe they are still getting used to the summer crowds and, though the restaurant is off the beaten path, it was busy and service could have used one more waiter. We tried stuffed pepper appetizers and the octopus. The octopus had good flavor but was just the tiniest bit tough. The stuffed pepper was delicious and different from other appetizers we'd had elsewhere. The pizza was amazing. Some of our crowd said it was the best pizza they had all trip. The pasta with the fish of the day was also the best pasta I think I had all trip. I loved it! The fresh catch of the day served acqua pazza style with fresh vegetables was also flavorful and delicious. The truffle ravioli was also very good and one of our guests said it was her favorite pasta she had during our trip. The tiramisu was very good. However, we had to wait for the Delizie al Limone dessert because the chef hadn't finished it (though it was after 9pm at night). It was good but slightly frozen in the middle (the chef had to flash freeze it for safety we were told). Overall, our meal was delicious and as I mentioned before, we would return. I think as the new owner and chef gets more experience, they have tons of potential and will get better and better. A few minor improvements would have made this definitely 5 stars.

05/07/2026: The food I will recommend the steak and seafood. Do not do the risotto and pasta they were not really good. However the staff is amazing. They are so great and pleasant. A sure winner in my eyes. That cheese salad also amazing.

12/07/2026: Family dinner, truly a surprise. We ordered excellent fresh fish dishes, the cod with cruschi peppers, which is a typical local recipe, with a fantastic ancient flavor. Then we had a genuine Neapolitan pizza in the center, the dough super light and digestible, the staff kind and helpful. The place is very convenient for families and for its proximity to the Padula-Buonabitacolo highway exit. Highly recommended!!!

26/05/2026: Wonderful restaurant in Montepertuso, up the mountain from Positano reachable by bus if you're staying in Positano. Everything we had was wonderful and you can watch them cook your meal while you eat.

18/05/2026: We came to this restaurant for our last dinner in Italy because we were looking for a truly authentic, family-run Italian experience — and it exceeded every expectation. Conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from our Airbnb, we were welcomed from the moment we walked in and immediately felt right at home. The atmosphere was warm, clean, comfortable, and inviting. The food was absolutely incredible — easily the best meal we had during our week in Italy, including both Rome and Positano. We’ve been back in Canada for a while now and I still haven’t stopped thinking about it! Our server was so kind and welcoming, and despite the language barrier, he made every effort to communicate with us and ensure we had a wonderful experience. Overall, we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Positano who is looking to escape the more touristy spots and enjoy an authentic Italian meal in a warm family atmosphere.
