25/10/2025: Highly recommended, a charming place with a panoramic dining room and views of Vesuvius from the province of Salerno. Besides the location, the food is excellent. Simple, traditional, and high-quality. Excellent selection of beers, excellent cheeses. The zeppola was perfect! 🤤 Quality staff, very friendly. The place is equipped for babies with a changing table. Really excellent!

02/10/2025: We dined for lunch at this Restaurant. The Service and food were superb. Very fresh and Authentic Italian food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

17/11/2025: The food was good. The white wine was perfect, fruity. The restrooms were clean. BUT: * What a racket! My ears could hardly stand it. * What a wait! It was Sunday, and it seemed the kitchen staff couldn't keep up. An hour for a simple pasta dish. That's way too long. What a shame.

12/11/2025: Great dinner at Convento in Cetara. Very quiet on a tuesday night in november. Great if anchovies are your thing. Had a Genovese di Tonno for the first time but i think i prefer the classic meat version.

07/12/2025: We entered this restaurant attracted by the variety of the menu and the family atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food was truly terrible. I ordered a simple pasta dish with anchovy sauce, which should be a staple every restaurant in Cetara should know how to make, but the pasta arrived incredibly salty, inedible, and full of garlic bits, so I had to send it back. The waiter kindly had me remake it, but then I ate basically pasta, oil, and starch without any knowledge of the sauce. Not to mention the calamari stuffed with a seasonal vegetable sauce—which, being December, was mushrooms?! An inedible combination, a revolting mash-sauce. I only ate the calamari, which was incredibly tough, out of hunger and the thought of having paid for it. I'm sorry, but few times in my life have I been so embarrassed and eaten so badly.

07/12/2025: The small, crowded space offers little choice on the menu. We definitely ate well, given that the pasta is made on-site and the fish is all fresh. In fact, since it was December, all the mussel dishes were out. The woman serving us (I don't know if she was the owner) was very helpful and accommodating. They ran out of Cetarese pesto, so she still offered us the dish I'd ordered from what was left. The prices were reasonable. Two first courses and an appetizer with crostini came to €46 for two. Not excessive or cheap, in my opinion. The first courses (the only ones we could say we could choose from) were scialatielli with yellow datterino tomatoes and anchovy sauce, and ravioli alla cetarese filled with ricotta, yellow datterino tomatoes and anchovy sauce. In short, two fairly similar and simple dishes. I gave it three stars because I'd like to try the summer scialatielli with mussels, pistachios, and lemon first, or the ones with clams they're currently serving, or the ones with the fish of the day. Perhaps if these last two dishes had been a bit more of a wake-up call, we'd have been more satisfied. The welcome crostini with buffalo ricotta and anchovy sauce was delicious, but I didn't particularly like the anchovies ripensi with provola and broccoli. I recommend booking because the place is small. I expect it will be crowded in the summer.

24/11/2025: A regular weekly event. The food is excellent, with an excellent selection of wines. The service is excellent. Francesco is their ace in the hole! Highly recommended.

18/10/2025: For me, this is the best pizza in the Sele Valley. The rest of the food is also excellent, the waiters are friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Recommended for both small and large parties, the location is truly lovely, especially since it was renovated. There's the "old" room, which is smaller, rustic, and welcoming, and the new room, which is larger, brighter, simpler, and elegant. In short, there's something for everyone.

06/11/2025: Open Gate Hotel in Praiano was absolutely spotless, you can tell right away how much pride the family takes in keeping everything clean and customer first. You truly feel like you’re stepping into their home with how warmly they welcome and cater to guests. The on-site restaurant served some of the best dinner we had in all of Praiano. The breakfast that’s included is perfect, with something for everyone. There’s a great spread of American options but also an authentic Italian breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit, and local specialties that were out of this world. The location is really great. Its about a 10 minute walk to the marina, a bus stop right out front which Pasquale helped make sure we caught and a 5 minute taxi ride to the center or 20 minute walk. This was not my first time visiting Praiano but now I know about this gem. Between the view, the food, and the incredible hospitality, Open Gate Hotel made our stay unforgettable and I will be back.

28/10/2025: Amazing staff who were very helpful with everything. Clean rooms and hotel overall. The restaurant was also very nice, great breakfast. Stunning views from the room. Easy to get around on the Amalfi coast. The hotel was located on a busy main road, so the noise from the road was quite loud. However, this was not a significant issue for us. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely come back!

08/10/2025: Great food, you gotta take a water taxi there, it’s free with their shuttle with red fish at certain times but if you wanna leave early like us gotta pay for way back 30E. Well worth it tho, rustic local cuisine, friendly service. Polpo salad was delish.

30/09/2025: The boat transfer is a mini trip in itself and a nice way to see Positano and the surrounding area from the water. A nice beach for swimming. In my opinion they shouldn't charge extra for their deck chairs, but the Italian's overcharge for every possible opportunity, which they should improve upon. We had a few different grilled seafood dishes and they were excellent. The side of grilled vegetables was small. Overall a nice day out. It's a minimum half day activity as the return only starts from 4 pm.

10/09/2025: This pizzeria and restaurant isn't easy to get to, but it's definitely worth it! Generous, no-frills home-style cooking, delicious pizzas, a rustic atmosphere, and friendly, efficient staff. And finally, the prices are incredibly fair. Bravo!

01/12/2025: My mother paid $1200 for accommodations that were falsely represented online. Avoid this place at all costs. They are not to be trusted. Response to the owners reply: You have replied trying to spin the story in your favour, when in reality this is false. My mother, the lady you are referring too, booked a room via a third party booking site, and the pictures she saw (and showed me, not to mention you uploaded to said site) which featured two seperate rooms, but, when we arrived, the room was a single bed room with a sofa. We then proceeded to ask for the room we paid for from the images shown to us before and you denied and said that was the room... which it wasn't. This is false advertising and a scam. Buyer beware, and do not listen to this disgrace of a business owner. Shame on you for scamming an older lady out of $1200 for an accommodation she didn't even get to stay at, and for false misrepresentation of your accodomations online. Which also by the way, are not accessible for disabled people such as my mother, and also you said you'd assist her entry and then left her to her own devices, you also then charged her 30 euros for a 7 minute ride stating that she "can't use taxi's because they are all busy" and that you "know a personal driver who can take her" to then taking her yourself and charging her for that too. She told me all about this and I'm extremely infuriated about how you treated an older lady in a foreign country. Despicable. If you'd like to be a man and a real business owner and refund her, then we can speak about removing this truth from your page if you so wish to hide your wrong doings.

28/11/2025: We'd like to thank everyone at the Pesce d'Oro Bed and Breakfast for their hospitality and for doing everything they could to make us happy during our stay. The property has private parking, is just a few kilometers from Amalfi, and is conveniently located for reaching various tourist destinations or the Path of the Gods. The breakfast is delicious, especially the lemon cake. The lemon house at the back of the hotel is spectacular. We'll have to return in the warmer months to try the restaurant. 07/11/2025: Returning with our group for a medical mission, we stayed for a few days, including sleeping and, of course, eating. Everything was good, the staff were hospitable, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

03/11/2025: Cute, vibey spot by the water with great views and a welcoming staff. The grandpa/owner was more than welcoming, and we felt like family. Half bottles of wine was nice as well. Wow. Get the grilled anchovies. Youll thank me later. All the pasta were cooked perfectly and the seafood tasted amazingly fresh. Probably one of the most fresh ones we’ve had on the trip. Its a bit out of the way for most, but it seems to be a nice hidden gem/locals spot. Definitely coming back here next time we’re in amalfi coast.

12/10/2025: It is one of the most renowned and oldest trattorias in Sarno. Their specialties are stock and cod, both for appetizers and first courses, prepared with great skill, and last but not least, river shrimp, which reflect the ancient Sarno tradition. Their delicate cuisine allows you to fully savor the raw ingredients, excellent service, and a well-kept venue create the perfect atmosphere for an evening with family or friends.

01/11/2025: Lovely restaurant above Positano. We arrived at around 8 on a Sunday evening, late in the season but we're made very welcome, and we're well looked after throughout the evening. We were both quite tired and fancied something straightforward so I opted for the steak and chips, while my wife had pizza. Both were absolutely spot on and the steak was cooked beautifully. Maybe it was the half carafe of wine but it was one of the best evenings out in Positano that week. Also... Given that the restaurant is up in Chiesa Nuova, the prices are very reasonable by comparison to down at the big beach. Definitely worth the walk up a couple of steps.

09/11/2025: Thanks to a gathering, I discovered this wonderful place. On Saturday evening, I and friends enjoyed a dinner with pizza samples and platters of cured meats and cheeses, which we thoroughly enjoyed. On Sunday, with a large group of well over 50 people, we sampled the courtesy, patience of the staff, and the deliciousness of the food! Definitely worth repeating!
