28/04/2026: If you are traveling in Salerno, I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy some seafood.
For reference, I saw quite a few locals eating pizza.
I enjoyed the meal so much that I forgot to take photos, so unfortunately, I cannot include them (I don't remember the names of the dishes ^^).
The atmosphere is that of a simple local restaurant; language barriers were resolved with kindness (a helper appeared nearby), menu choices were made with recommendations, the taste was very pleasant, and the prices were very reasonable.
Although it was house wine, I liked that it was aromatic and (somewhat) full-bodied.
I hope those of you wondering where to eat have a delightful meal.

07/05/2026: We stumbled upon it while strolling through Salerno, and since the weather was lovely, we were able to have lunch outside and enjoy the sunshine. The food was very good, the staff very welcoming; if we ever return to Salerno, we will definitely go back.
03/05/2026: A very quiet restaurant in the city center, specializing in seafood. The spaghetti with red shrimp and clams are delicious. Fair value for money and generous portions.
We also enjoyed the stuffed babá. Very friendly staff and a lovely, intimate atmosphere. Recommended!

05/05/2026: Fantastic food and service! We arrived late into Salerno due to train delay and stumbled upon Osteria dei Sapori. So glad we did! We sat outside next and surrounded by Italian music and murals. What a great family restaurant!

I really appreciated the attention paid to vegetarians at our table.

26/05/2026: As a tourist, this was a very busy, truly authentic, large, relatively modern local restaurant recommended by our AirBnB host. Note, in the evening, does not open till 7:45pm. They catered carefully for my need for gluten free food (coeliac). I was able to have gluten free spaghetti vongole which seemed like a house speciality and was delicious. The appetizers included gluten free zucchini flower!! They offered me gluten free tiramisu (!!) but I was too full. While close to the beach, it does not have views.
18/05/2026: A welcoming and well-kept restaurant, ideal for a quiet lunch or a relaxed dinner. Friendly service, served by Antonio, who was welcoming and professional, and a pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients enhanced by a balanced and tasty seafood cuisine.

10/05/2026: At Servizio meno 100, I booked a table for two the day before, making sure there was a candle for dessert, but that candle never arrived, or rather, it arrived after that moment had passed, making up for it with another dessert. The wine wasn't opened for us in advance, needless to say, they left the bottle on the table, so we had to ask for the cooler ourselves. The waiter, a young man, seemed to chase us away because I didn't even have time to finish the bite before he took my plate away.
We had a very rushed dinner, but the food was soooo good.
The octopus alla Luciana was amazing.
Super fresh fish.
I recommend this place if you want to eat well, are in a hurry, and don't care about the service, but if you want to surprise someone... Find another solution.
07/05/2026: We are four sisters who, on the recommendation of locals, visited this historic trattoria in Salerno's pedestrian area. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the ingredients were top-quality, and the fish was incredibly fresh. We ordered the house appetizer, and that alone was worth the trip. We followed it with a first course, two second courses, and two desserts. The prices were absolutely reasonable. And to finish, they offered us limoncello and Annurca apple liqueur, truly special. Highly recommended.

09/11/2025: Spurred by the avalanche of positive reviews, I decided to try this burger joint, and honestly, I wonder who wrote them, because the experience was one to forget.
The fries arrived greasy, soggy, and with that classic used-oil smell that lingers for hours. The burger, advertised as 200 grams, must have weighed less than 100 grams, and was burnt and completely flavorless. Dry bread, stringy meat, and no attention to detail on the plate.
The service was borderline irritating: indifferent staff, long waits, and zero customer service. The sauces seemed to be taken from the discount store shelf, and the water was drawn from a home purifier.
In short, a place that thrives on questionable reviews rather than actual quality.
I won't be returning, and I strongly advise against being fooled like I was.

19/04/2026: We arrived at 9:00 PM on a Friday. It wasn’t crowded, but we had a reservation anyway. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The portions were generous, and the flavors were absolutely on point. There were two of us, and aside from a small language barrier that caused a slight misunderstanding, everything went smoothly. The pasta was delicious, and the fried seafood was just as amazing. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely love to come back if we’re ever in the area again.

Ristorante La Lampara da Peppe a Seccia

06/01/2026: We visited this restaurant last night, passing through the streets of Salerno to see the Christmas lights. Mr. Mimmo showed us the various menus as we passed, and on our way back, we stopped.
What can I say? We made an excellent choice! We ordered the fish menu, delicious, with generous portions, but above all, the fish was fresh and cooked to order.
I highly recommend anyone who happens to be in Salerno to stop and savor the delicacies of this restaurant.
