Delicious pasta and seafood. A charming place in a quiet little square in Atrani. A great escape from the hustle and bustle, crowds, and overrated Amalfi. The best food of our six-day stay between Puglia and Amalfi.

I’ve been to the best-rated, most famous restaurants in Rome, Florence, and the Amalfi Coast towns during my Italy trip, but this is truly the best meal I had in two weeks. The seafood carbonara was the best pasta I’ve ever had, and the scampi risotto was cooked perfectly. The house white wine was so good that we asked to take a photo of it. The service was excellent and accommodating, even though the staff were mostly very Italian! Also, the prices were so affordable I couldn't believe I was on the coast. I wish I could stay in Amalfi longer so that I could come here again. There were so many Koreans in Amalfi, but for some reason, there wasn't a single one here… It’s only a 10-minute walk from Amalfi with no stairs, so please, please make sure to visit. It was the most delicious meal I had in Italy.

I had lunch there , sat outside and I was the only one there for the first 30 minutes. Food arrived soon after with my water and bread. The only thing is that the 2 africans waitresses weren’t attentive. They just stood there and chit chat. I finally went inside to pay the bill and the man inside helped me to alert the waiter. By then there were only 4 persons including me. One was eating already and the other 2 the food hasn’t arrived so it wasn’t busy to attend to for 4 guests.

Cozy, very nice restaurant. Beautiful blue mosaic tiles, clean. We had lunch with local seafood and fish. The fish soup was an extra surprise, both in quantity and serving. The servers were nice. And the chef cooked divinely, we thanked her personally! I highly recommend it to everyone! Go and have a good time in the gastronomy area in a family atmosphere! Thank you for your kindness! :)

We stopped in to Atrani Piazza Umberto for lunch. Deciding to try il Veliero. We ordered to share the Spaghetti alla Carbonara and Pizza Diavoli. Hands down the most flavorful Carbonara I had along the Amalfi Coast so far. The pizza was good too. Also their prices are very reasonable. Service was good, and the staff were overall friendly. Our server made sure we had what we needed, our drinks were served timely and made very well. Really good Lemon Spritz. Since the weather has been amazing, we sat outside in the piazza. Perfect setting to enjoy a meal. They can easily missed or overlooked as they are tucked into the back of the plaza by the fountain. Would definitely benefit from something to grab patrons attention.

Perfect experience at Il Veliero in Atrani! We had penne arrabbiata and rigatoni alla bolognese—both really delicious. Super friendly service, everyone was very nice, and a big thank you to the chef! Will definitely come back. Cheers to Atrani 🇮🇹🙂
